If you are ready to escape the hustle and bustle of city life then we invite you to come camp with us at Firefly Village or book an event We are located on 8 acres and have been the stewards of this hidden gem tucked deep in the Appalachia's since 2007. We are a family operated small business and built with love, sweat and tears. We are off grid and look forward to growing each year. This year we will be working on our garden and durable fence to keep the critters out. Elk and turkey roam the property along with an assortment of wild birds. Black bear and deer are native to the mountains, a bird watchers wonderland. Oh, with salamanders galore! We have had many twists and turns to get where we are today and value the opportunity to share with you from camping to events mixed right in with nature. We are located way off the beaten path and down a long gravel road in a remote region of the mountains. It is scenic and peaceful. We invite you to join the simple life with us. Bring your book, bike and build a fire. Always be ready to kick back and relax.

Pitch your tent in the woods or camp in the grass to enjoy the wildlife.  Elk and turkey roam often, and there is plenty of privacy.  We are a conscious-minded group of folks who enjoy the great outdoors.  We are located down a long gravel road, so it's ideal for bicycles and walking.   We are a primitive campground with an old-fashioned outhouse and a stream-fed outdoor shower, so bring your towel, earth-friendly products, and a great attitude!

Welcome to the Tiny House! Her name is OG. She was built with love and determination as I put my oldest son to college. We can have anything in life that we want however we can’t have everything so this Tiny House helped me build freedom. I’m excited to share her with you along with the redneck spa in the yard. The OG has a composting toilet and outdoor shower. Her source of cooking is a one burner propane top or build a fire in the front yard and cook away.

We had such a pretty drive to this camp site. Jennifer was an excellent host and provided some basics for our stay. The outhouse was in good shape. My sons loved the rocks they found there and there was some debate about whether we heard the elk. We would love to visit there again.

Our camping trip was all that we hoped and more! We found a patch of grass to pitch our tents, made a fire in the pit and gathered sticks from the woods to keep it alive, shared a camp dinner, and listened to the sounds of nature. Jenn checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed, and made us feel welcome and safe. We look forward to coming back and seeing the growth that Jenn has planned for her beautiful piece of Appalachia!

Enjoyed our first camping experience as a family. Jennifer helped show us a good spot to pitch our tent, despite us getting there late, and she checked in on us the following morning. It rained, but our spot kept us dry. If we camp out that way again in the future, we definitely will be making a stop at Jennifer's again!

Jennifer was a helpful, gracious, and friendly host. My sister and our 6 kids enjoyed the beauty of the forest, and there was definitely something magical about Firefly Village. I would recommend for anyone who appreciates adventuring off the beaten path and making new friends!
