We fell absolutely in love with this property. It almost pains me to write this review because I want to keep this place a secret. Canoeing, lots of space, peace and quiet, exactly the right amenities, and gracious hosts. We'll definitely be back!

This spot was one of the best finds for my reactive pups and me- safe, private, peaceful, extremely spacious, and well maintained. We had a great view of the stars too. Larissa was a great host and very responsive. Will definitely be coming back! Just a heads up - I didn’t have signal once I got to the clearing (occasionally could connect to satellite), but it was nice to disconnect. Not a con. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property with everything you need. Very family friendly. The grounds are very well kept and having access to the pavilion with shade, power and a gas grill was huge. Highly recommend.

Super peaceful spot! The big open field was great for stargazing at night, and there was a set of trees near the pond that worked for my camping hammock. Loved seeing the ducks as I walked around the pond. This is a very well kept bit of land, and I felt like I had plenty of space to enjoy and it was nicely secluded. The most I heard was dogs barking in the distance and the ducks splashing a bit at night. I'll have to come back!

Beautiful area! Host was very communicative (such fast response times). Area was lovely and incredibly dog safe. Booked it knowing I would be going on a cold and rainy camping trip. Still had an absolute blast. Amazing plot of land - large enough for guest limit with tons of extra space. I brought my dog and she absolutely loved it.

A great and clean campsite with a nice view of their pond. Not too far from civilization but still felt private, safe, and enjoyable. Coming from first time campers, we thoroughly enjoyed the site and experience.

The campsite was beautiful! Everything was ready for us and it was so quiet! We were the only ones there and it felt like we stepped out of time and got to enjoy our own little secluded slice of heaven.
We walked around the pond and fed the ducks. It does get dark! Make sure to bring a flash light or lantern because there is no light!
We roasted marshmallows and grilled food in the firepit. We laughed, we talked, we were silly and we loved every minute! We can't wait to go back! Thank you Larissa for a wonderful time!

2nd time! Still didn’t disappoint! I love our time here. We caught 21 fish, enjoyed the grill at the pavilion and appreciated the cut and clear walking trails all over the property! Nice touch by the owners.
We have already made plans and booked our next trip in the fall.

Absolutely beautiful hidden gem! The communication with the host was prompt, clear, and very thoughtful. The property is nestled in the woods with large clearings to walk around in. There are actually two ponds, both of which have manicured grass pathways around them. There is a creak to explore and the open areas were much larger than I expected - great open spaces surrounded by forest to walk around. There are multiple seating areas with chairs or a bench, two fire pits, a picnic table and a bistro table - - and that's just out and about on the property! There is also a large pole barn with lots of seating, power outlets, and extra shade if you want it. I caught numerous large blue gill easily! I saw four deer, two bunnies, three turtles, two very friendly ducks, and a blue heron. I know there is a house on the property somewhere - but I didn't see it or hear other people; the Hipcamp felt very private. Absolutely loved my stay there and am planning to go back!

I throughly enjoyed tent camping at Smith Creek campsite! The entire campsite was very well kept. Grass cut, just generally overall a clean and pleasant place! You have the whole place to yourself!Loved fishing at the pond. It is loaded with bream and bluegill and I did caught a few bass, but mostly bream and bluegill. The campsite was very quiet, except for a few bullfrogs you hear in the evening, but …they stop shortly after dark. I saw a lot of wildlife, such as deer, owls, and a couple of rabbits. Larissa was extremely reachable and answered any questions that I had very promptly. I would suggest if you stay there to just pay the add-on to also use the barn/ pavilion. It came in super convenient with the thunderstorms that rolled in. That way, you’re not confined to just your tent. It is completely covered, and it is huge. But not so big and noticeable that it takes away from the quietness and nature. It sits on top of a hill and the lake or pond is downhill from it. The path around the lake or pond is very well kept and cut. The two ducks are very friendly and tend to follow you for a minute, but they are no problem. They didn’t try to bite or anything like that. Also, if you need to plug in your power station or any other small appliances there are plenty of outlets at the pavilion. This was one of, if not my favorite places to camp! I will be back very ,soon and often! There are plenty of places to set up your tent all around the property… just check with Larissa!
