Beautiful area! Host was very communicative (such fast response times). Area was lovely and incredibly dog safe. Booked it knowing I would be going on a cold and rainy camping trip. Still had an absolute blast. Amazing plot of land - large enough for guest limit with tons of extra space. I brought my dog and she absolutely loved it.

We absolutely loved our stay! The property was immaculate — easily the cleanest and most well-kept campsite we’ve ever visited. The pond, the fishing, and the barn were all highlights of our weekend. Everything was so thoughtfully maintained, and the host was incredibly responsive and friendly. We can’t wait to come back — this is hands down our favorite Hipcamp property ever. A great and clean campsite with a nice view of their pond. Not too far from civilization but still felt private, safe, and enjoyable. Coming from first time campers, we thoroughly enjoyed the site and experience.

The campsite was beautiful! Everything was ready for us and it was so quiet! We were the only ones there and it felt like we stepped out of time and got to enjoy our own little secluded slice of heaven.
We walked around the pond and fed the ducks. It does get dark! Make sure to bring a flash light or lantern because there is no light!
We roasted marshmallows and grilled food in the firepit. We laughed, we talked, we were silly and we loved every minute! We can't wait to go back! Thank you Larissa for a wonderful time!

2nd time! Still didn’t disappoint! I love our time here. We caught 21 fish, enjoyed the grill at the pavilion and appreciated the cut and clear walking trails all over the property! Nice touch by the owners.
We have already made plans and booked our next trip in the fall.

Absolutely beautiful hidden gem! The communication with the host was prompt, clear, and very thoughtful. The property is nestled in the woods with large clearings to walk around in. There are actually two ponds, both of which have manicured grass pathways around them. There is a creak to explore and the open areas were much larger than I expected - great open spaces surrounded by forest to walk around. There are multiple seating areas with chairs or a bench, two fire pits, a picnic table and a bistro table - - and that's just out and about on the property! There is also a large pole barn with lots of seating, power outlets, and extra shade if you want it. I caught numerous large blue gill easily! I saw four deer, two bunnies, three turtles, two very friendly ducks, and a blue heron. I know there is a house on the property somewhere - but I didn't see it or hear other people; the Hipcamp felt very private. Absolutely loved my stay there and am planning to go back!

I throughly enjoyed tent camping at Smith Creek campsite! The entire campsite was very well kept. Grass cut, just generally overall a clean and pleasant place! You have the whole place to yourself!Loved fishing at the pond. It is loaded with bream and bluegill and I did caught a few bass, but mostly bream and bluegill. The campsite was very quiet, except for a few bullfrogs you hear in the evening, but …they stop shortly after dark. I saw a lot of wildlife, such as deer, owls, and a couple of rabbits. Larissa was extremely reachable and answered any questions that I had very promptly. I would suggest if you stay there to just pay the add-on to also use the barn/ pavilion. It came in super convenient with the thunderstorms that rolled in. That way, you’re not confined to just your tent. It is completely covered, and it is huge. But not so big and noticeable that it takes away from the quietness and nature. It sits on top of a hill and the lake or pond is downhill from it. The path around the lake or pond is very well kept and cut. The two ducks are very friendly and tend to follow you for a minute, but they are no problem. They didn’t try to bite or anything like that. Also, if you need to plug in your power station or any other small appliances there are plenty of outlets at the pavilion. This was one of, if not my favorite places to camp! I will be back very ,soon and often! There are plenty of places to set up your tent all around the property… just check with Larissa!

Peaceful, private, relaxing, tranquil! These words define the last 4 days at Smith Creek Farm. We loved it. We spent a lot of time visiting with the 2 ducks. The property is well maintained and kept up.
I recommend purchasing your firewood from them. It’s worth not carrying it.
To the owners: a special thank you from our family to yours! Your property was such a blessing to us for 4 days.

lake has tons of fish (bream and bass), the site is very well kept and there’s multiple fire pits and a trash can! the ducks are super friendly, and it’s very spacious. great spot!

As you settle into a cozy chair or lay on a blanket, you hear the soft quacking of two friendly ducks paddling around. These charming little creatures waddling up to you with anticipation each time you arrive at the feeding bin with a scoop full of duck feed. The peaceful ambiance is enhanced by the soft sounds of nature—birds chirping, leaves rustling, and the occasional deer siting. Evenings are magical, as you gather around a crackling campfire, the sky transforming into a breathtaking canvas during sunset. The stars begin to twinkle overhead, creating a perfect backdrop for sharing stories or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of your surroundings. Stayed here last weekend and had a great time. The campsite was quiet, with plenty of wildlife around, and I had the place to myself. Would definitely consider staying again.

Again...Hip Camp came through. Our Host Larissa, went overboard on Her graciousness. Perfect weather...cool flowing creek...soft green badmitten grass...great grill...privacy...and of course "The Ducks". We will come again....you should!

We had such a great time at the Smith Creek Campsite! We’d absolutely love to stay here again sometime in the near future. There’s a large grassy area leading down to the pond, so we had plenty of great spots to choose from when pitching our tent. The ducks are adorable, and the pond is great for fishing. I caught my first fish here, which was a huge highlight of our stay! Larissa, the host, was super sweet and communicative when Hurricane Helene threw a wrench in our plans for our first night. We’re so grateful to her and her husband for working with us! Highly recommend this spot.
