Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

The cows enjoy grazing on lush grass and taking refreshing dips in the ponds. They also relish watching the sunset from the hill's vantage point, as it offers the best view on the farm. We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show some of the popular locations campers have enjoyed in the past, but it is first come first serve. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. If you are picky with the grass, these are pastures on a farm and we do not cut them. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures. Please respect farm rules and do not camp in a pasture with cattle and do not enter any gated area without speaking to someone on the farm who knows which fields the cattle is in. Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower. Fire rings and chopped wood are ready for you to borrow and return by the outdoor shower area. I really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet and picturesque. The only problem i had was the site sloped from the middle down making the step down out of my RV little high, but I will definitely be back. I just have to remember my step next time.

Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, A Peace of Heaven

Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

The yurt had a small blow up mattress, which was a plus because it wasn’t listed in the description (at least to my memory). The land was absolutely beautiful, and he took the time to make sure we got to our yurt safely. Made my friend and I feel incredibly safe as two young women traveling alone together. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! It was very private and peaceful! Largest camping site we’ve ever had! The swing pictured in the listing was broken when we arrived which was a disappointment for our kiddos but we will definitely be back for more camping trips and maybe it’ll be fixed then! The creek was a wonderful spot to have coffee with the large rocks for sitting!

Weekend Trip to Covenant View Camp and Retreat

We loved staying on Robby’s land. He was friendly, and met us at the gate to give us some directions and details about the campsite. The campsite had 6 spots, and most of the were concentrated on one side of the field, so you may be close to others if you choose on of those. We had no one around us, and aside from the occasional train passing by, it was very peaceful. We had great views of the night sky and saw a few shooting stars while we were out. Plenty of space, good access to a bathroom. We had to walk out a bit to get some firewood, but that wasn’t a difficult endeavor. We all had a great time and would stay here in the future.

Weekend Trip to Running Water Creek

It was perfect for my traveling needs. I spent majority of my time during the day hiking in GA/TN so it’s perfect to return to in the late afternoon to relax. The Bath House was very clean and the dogs that roam the property are very friendly. The trains were a bit loud and busy during the night, but it is manageable to sleep through if you’re good at tuning it out. Overall, it’s great for a place to set up camp for the night and wake up early to continue a drive or to hit the trails.

Great campsite with an awesome view! We were able to setup two big tents with plenty of room for everyone. Right after we setup an unexpected hail storm struck and we were glad to have the shelter to ride it out in. The shelter has a mini fridge, A/C, and an electric fireplace. We had the best time at Brooks Lake — it’s truly our happy place. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and it’s the perfect spot to spend time as a family. My son loved learning to fish and explore the outdoors, and we all enjoyed just slowing down and soaking up the quiet. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming — it really feels like home away from home. We can’t wait to bring our camper back for another weekend by the lake!

Weekend Trip to Covenant View Camp and Retreat

My dog and I had a perfect last second long weekend getaway. The property was easy to get to, close to so many awesome hiking trails, and was beautiful. The host, Robby, communicated well and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He brought us enough firewood to last the entire trip and offered multiple options in case the weather got too cold while there. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Highly recommend anywhere on his property and will hopefully be back sooner than later!

Weekend Trip to Quail Run Farm

This was my first ever Hipcamp experience so I don't really know how it compares. I'll say it was easy to find, a comfortable spot, and I met someone the day we left at their store and she was very friendly. They were very hands off and allowed us to just show up and go do our thing. As others have stated, you definitely notice the trains. Trains seem to be a love or hate sort of a thing. Very beautiful piece of land though and great facilities. We tent camped with the kids and a dog.

2 nights at Covenant View Camp and Retreat

Tent was all set with a queen sized airmatress and electricity for anything we needed. Wood pile with saw tight there. Clean. Nice. Great host. Right off the highway but secluded. Would stay there again.

Where to go

Atlanta & North Georgia

The north Georgia mountains provide some of the state’s best camping and hiking terrain, including part of the Appalachian Trail. The vast Chattahoochee National Forest is dotted with historic sites and campgrounds, while cascading waterfalls, RV camping, and glampsites await at Amicalola Falls State Park. Canyon hikes and waterfalls are among the highlights at Tallulah Gorge State park and Cloudland Canyon State Park (the latter also has yurts for rent), and Red Top Mountain State Park lies less than an hour from the state capital, Atlanta.

Central Heartlands

Augusta, Athens, and Macon have a rich musical legacy—artists from James Brown to Otis Redding hail from these parts—plus some of Georgia’s best camping right on their doorstep. Head to Mistletoe State Park to hike, kayak, and fish on the shores of Clarkes Hill Lake; snag an RV campsite or cabin at George L. Smith State Park; or rent a cozy cottage at Indian Springs State Park.

South Georgia

Rolling farmlands form the backdrop for a road trip through South Georgia, perhaps checking into an RV park in one of the many small towns along the way. The region’s most impressive hiking trails are found in Providence Canyon State Park, along with backcountry tent sites, while Stephen C. Foster State Park is an International Dark Sky Park and a wildlife haven set on the banks of the Okefenokee Swamp.

Coastal Georgia

Georgia’s 100-mile slice of Atlantic coastline stretches down from Savannah to Cumberland Island, peppered with sandy beaches, saltwater marshes, and barrier islands. Rent a camper cabin or RV site with full hookups close to the beaches and waterways of Skidaway Island State Park, explore the biking trails or take a dolphin-spotting cruise around Tybee Island, or escape the crowds at the hike-in campsites along the Cumberland Island National Seashore.
