Belle Bluff Island Campground

The view! Wow. The property if beautiful. The mayor was very attentive to any needs we had. He even referred us to a few places for dinner. We had a great visit and will surely come back.

We had a nice stay, it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. However we were lucky that we didn't have many neighbors. The spaces are packed in tight. However that didn't affect us. The showers are clean, and hot water. Beautiful views

Very nice, clean campground. A lot to explore if you walk around the campground. The sites are really close together, but there were not many campers when I went due to weather. I met the “mayor”, he was kind enough to pass on some cooking and pans he no longer needed. I would stay again.

The sites were on top of each other. That said, I am glad I booked in the "off season." Off season in mind, it was quiet and peaceful but know that Site #11 is literally next to the bathroom building which is not indicated in the listing in any way.

Beautiful Marina views, clean bathrooms with hot showers. Site was just big enough for a 4 person tent (2 people plus gear) and my Chevy Trax. Host responsive and available onsite. One of the best stays of our trip.

What a great camping spot! Amazing sunrise! Very beautiful. There was also a little marina on site. Nice shady spot right on the water. The bath house was nice and clean, kept up well. We met both the governor(owner Ron ) and the mayor (caretaker and host Richard). Friendly great guys! 10:10 recommend this camp spot.

The site was clean and tidy as advertised. There was a bath/shower building located in very close proximity to all of the sites. Ronald is a very responsive and helpful host. I would say that if like us, you prefer to not be so close to other campers, this camp may not be the type to choose. Although we did not have a "bad" experience, we found the sites to be way too close to others to have a sense of some privacy and tranquility that we prefer when camping.

Affordable waterfront camping.

Really awesome little camping spot. Restroom facility was plenty adequate and extremely nice to have while camping light in a pickup truck. The dock is awesome and was a blast watching what looked like baby puffer fish swimming around as well as blue crabs while I fished. Affordable, unique, basic, friendly and low key. Caught a little Toadfish on a fly tipped with cooked steak and a decent bait sized Croaker on fiddler crabs I caught. The fiddler crabs were climbing around the fish cleaning stations. Was here for a half day at night in lieu of a rest stop.

Site 5 - 50 Amp Pull Thru

This is a hidden gem of a very small campground. Altho Ron was not available when we arrived, we were greeted by a camper Rick of our space and directed us to follow him and demonstrated how best to drive thru site which as simple. Everything was pretty self explanatory. Our site had a wonderful view of the waterway, sailboats tied to the dock, blissful southern comfort (the real kind). Bath house provided but didn’t lay eyes on it. The scenery was incredible and there were only few other campers. I was surprised! Wait til word gets out how easily available it is. Bring bug spray as it depends upon the wind.

SITE 40 - TENT/VAN E/W

We really enjoyed our stay at Belle Bluff Island. The surroundings were beautiful! So many beautiful birds and the old oaks with the spanish moss hanging like a scene from a movie. Close to Savannah to the north and st Simmons island to the south. And a little bit of everything in between. Ron, the host was great. Richard, who helps out, has great tips for places to visit. The environment was so relaxed and laidback. We hope to visit again.

It was a beautiful location. The site was clean the bathhouse was clean. It was an easy process the gentleman that met me at the gate was very nice. Over all great stay! If I'm ever in the area I would stay there again.

Small Sites, but Worth the Stay!

My family loved the location of this campground. It is right on the water and is beautiful. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock. We brought our boat and tied up to the dock for stay for a very reasonable price. We have a large travel trailer (35 ft) with 3 slide outs and we did not fit in site #11. We ended up staying in site #5. The sites are very, very small. We could not extend our awning, nor could the peopled camper behind us. However, there was a little picnic area that we could use. And even with the small sites, we would stay here again. We had a lovely time.

Great Hipcamp - best of river and woods. Excellent amenities. We were at Ronald’s before the weekend so lots of room. Recommend to other Hipcampers!

Beautiful setting and quiet. All sites seemed just as advertised. Not crowded at all and seems like that is what they are trying to do. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

This place is great, with restrooms, showers, and lots of fun little activities like fire pits, dock seating and the whole giant dock to fish from! I only stayed one night and I only slept in my car, but that was enough to show me this property is great!! Great job Rob, your place is exquisite!

Very nice place to camp. The pull through spote were easy to navigate. Rest rooms were very clean. Property was very scenic. Will try to get back for a longer stay next time. Would recommend this place to others. Quiet and peaceful.
