It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! Another great trip to the Cove! For anyone who comes right after us, we set up your first fire logs in the firepit. We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.

If I could live here, I would. As it is, I’ll just visit while I can! The IGA is 6 min away but when you’re there it’s 600 miles away. There is wildlife and neighbors. My only complaint is I’ve discovered I’m allergic to no-see-ems and they live here. So strong bug repellent, but if you have a problem with that, camping isn’t for you anyway :D

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet and picturesque. The only problem i had was the site sloped from the middle down making the step down out of my RV little high, but I will definitely be back. I just have to remember my step next time.

Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, A Peace of Heaven

Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

We had amazing time tent camping here. We got to meet Steve and April as they brought wood to our campsite when we first arrived and they were very kind and answered all our questions. They told us all about the budding vineyard visible from the campsites and how it will soon support a winery that will be opening next year. We were lucky enough to be able to try a few of their wines and they were all delicious. We'll definitely be coming to visit the winery once it opens up! The camp sites were all well mentioned and felt safe and secluded. There was plenty of firewood available to purchase and the porta potty was clean and centrally located. My wife and I explored the property a bit with our dog and it was very nice. The sunset view of the marsh at the far edge of the property was absolutely gorgeous and it was really cool to be able to walk around the vineyard and check out that area of the campsite. We will definitely be coming back to camp here regularly!

Quiet, private and excellent hosts. Great for a guys weekend, family or just to get away and relax. The weather was 70s in the day and 40s at night and the bugs were only out for a couple hours in the morning and in the afternoon. Firewood was dry and well stocked, for 10$ a night. Great place, great hosts, will save the location for future getaways.

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Weekend Trip to Surewood ForRest

Staying at the farm has been one of the best camping trips I’ve ever taken! Mrs Jo and Mr Sam were the absolute best hosts anyone could ask for! Had help unloading and bringing my gear to the site. They were also so nice to let me borrow a small heater for when it was going to get down to freezing. The weather was beautiful and the walks through the property were great. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed being around the goats and the mule since we stayed at the goat site. Enjoyed waking up to the roosters and peacocks. Plenty of good deadfall for firewood and the sites are set up very well. I also brought home some soap and honey that were made at the farm. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend of relaxation and time in the woods. So many great things, but too many to list! You will definitely have to go experience it for yourself! I will definitely be returning!

We had the best time at Brooks Lake — it’s truly our happy place. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and it’s the perfect spot to spend time as a family. My son loved learning to fish and explore the outdoors, and we all enjoyed just slowing down and soaking up the quiet. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming — it really feels like home away from home. We can’t wait to bring our camper back for another weekend by the lake!
