Come join us at this unforgettable camping spot at Historic Castleberry Bridge where the Gold Rush happened, the Indian fish trap still exist, the birth place of Denver Colorado and the hideout of Jesse James just some of the history that happened at your campsite on the Etowah River. Our motto is "Thanks for keeping it clean," so help us spread the word and keep it true!
Look for the gate at Castleberry Bridge Rd (right where the bridge crosses the river) and drive through the gate and left and George (owner) should be there. He will open the second gate for you where you will be able to drive through and park at your site - weather permitting. To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. If you need help, you might have to go back up to the road to call us. George (the owner) is there most every day and all day.
There's so much fun waiting for you to explore! Tubes are available for a $10 charge per day. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap.
When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc.
But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel.
So whether you want to float, swing, swim, or paddle, Castleberry Bridge is the place to be for all kinds of outdoor fun!

One room, tiny cabin, 10‘ x 16‘ ( it's small) with bathroom , kitchenette , shower, space heater and air conditioning twin bed all in one room it's perfect for one person but it sleeps two with two twin beds one rolls out. Complementary coffee , hot tea, and water. There is a microwave and a mini fridge. It is in the woods by a stream and it is right beside my house where I live. Parking is about 150 feet walk down a small hill and a few stone steps. It is not handicap accessible. 3 miles to grocery and or Target/Walmart. The Chattahoochee river old Settles Bridge is 1/2 of a mile past my driveway trout fishing and kayak if you have one. I have a medium bike you can use.

I really really enjoyed tent camping at River Ranch! The land is beautiful. There are a few trails that you can walk along the river and see the wildlife. Doni and Laiza ,were very responsive to any questions that I had during my stay and made suggestions on where to walk and what to look out for as far as wildlife. My experience was a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back soon.

Camping at Regino’s Property
Absolutely loved camping at Regino’s property! It was such a refreshing experience compared to staying at a traditional campground surrounded by other campers. The privacy was incredible, and you could truly experience the freedom and peace of being out in nature.
The beautiful stream running through the property and the walkable land made exploring and relaxing so enjoyable. There was something special about being able to disconnect from the crowds, enjoy the sounds of nature, and actually feel like you were camping in the wilderness.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, private, and authentic camping experience, I highly recommend staying here. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back!

Well kept, shady spots (1-3). Site #1 looks out over a beautiful pasture where we repeatedly saw deer grazing. Convenient to town but not within walking distance. Would definitely choose this site if in the area again. Our host, William was responsive to email requests and questions.

Castleberry Bridge has become our go to spot for our annual camping trip, and it truly is a hidden gem! We spent amazing days swimming, tubing, fishing, relaxing by the fire, and just enjoying being together.
The hosts are absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating, and always making sure everyone has what they need. Free firewood, daily trash pickup, and honestly some of the cleanest campsite bathrooms we’ve ever seen.
It’s incredibly family friendly, and we especially love that the dogs can be off leash and enjoy the trip right along with us. 🐾 Our pups give it two paws up\!
Another amazing trip in the books. We’ll definitely be back next year!

My fiance and I (and our cat Blair) loved our stay here. Eston and Chris were very responsive the whole trip when any questions came up. It was very cute and cozy and everything was so well prepared. It was great getting to meet Lady Cooper as well. Eston was really kind in letting us do a later check out as well. It was a very nice and relaxing trip and the sky was absolutely beautiful at night. Everything was just so special and well thought out. We’re already talking about when we should make another trip to come back. Thank you again Eston and Chris!!

George & Gini's site was so nice for a small getaway + they are amazing hosts. They helped us out with some small accomodations with a friendly attitude + no issue. You can tell just how much love, pride, and work the 2 of them have put towards this place. George is so friendly & we chatted with him a bunch about local history, things to do, some shared interests, etc. Gini was also a doll when it came to questions we had & some technical stuff with our booking.
The camp sites are a bit close to some other sites and the "road" through their land is more on the narrow side so I probably wouldnt recommend bringing/driving a pickup truck but our SUV had 0 issues navigating back + forth. There's a cute little butterfly farm about 5 min down the road that I totally recommend checking out. My only other suggestion would to definitely bring flashlights as once the sun goes down, it is a bit hard to see while walking.
We will most certainly be back next time we camp in GA!! Thank you again so much to George + Gini :)

The river right next to the site was so nice. It was great to have the deck and the covered area that we used as a camp kitchen. We put up two tents around the fire ring and had plenty of room. Access to the river is direct and easy. There was an area the dogs were able to use to get in and out as well. It wasn’t muddy and we didn't have any trouble getting to the site in our 2wd trucks. The provided directions were very clear and easy to follow. The neighbors do have a driveway that passes near the site, but they weren't disruptive or traveling in and out after quiet hours.

Deer Valley RV Park was so clean and tranquil. It's my favorite from all my travels. It's small and I love that as we travel without pets or children. Bill was a terrific host. We loved our stay. It does not have a bath house or washing machines. We just went to a laundry mat.

Beautifully peaceful location! If you’re looking for a peaceful weekend with a gorgeous view, boat rentals and quality fishing look no further! The owners were super nice and very helpful! The other campers and day fishers there were really kind and super respectful of each other! They have electrical hookups for rv/camper use and a clean bath house for use! I truly enjoyed my weekend and 10/10 will definitely be going back often!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Johnny's Fife Farm. It's a sweet little spot close to Cochran Mills Falls for some hiking or cycling. I loved hearing about it's local history and Johnny's plans. It was a quick, nice getaway from Metro Atlanta where I live.

North Allatoona Lake
The US Army Corps of Engineers Upper Stamp Creek and McKaskey Creek campgrounds can be found near the central northern branches of Allatoona Lake, near Corbin. The two campgrounds are located near boat ramps and swimming beaches, and together offer 80 campsites for tents and RVs, with water and electric hookups, picnic tables and dump stations. Barstow County’s Gatewood Park also offers tent and RV sites, and includes a boat ramp, swim area, and picnic shelters.
Central Allatoona Lake
Just east of Cartersville, Red Top Mountain State Park is centrally located on a peninsula between two arms of the lake. The popular park offers more than 15 miles of hiking and biking trails, boat ramps and docks, playgrounds, picnic areas, and more than 100 options for staying overnight, including walk-in campsites, tent, trailer, and RV sites with electric hookups, cottages, and a yurt.
South Allatoona Lake
The southern branches of the lake have the most options for campers. The largest is the Corps of Engineer McKinney Campground, with 150 tent and RV sites, some lakefront. Nearby, the county-run Clark Creek North Campground offers all waterfront tent and RV sites, with a dock and swim beach, while Clark Creek South Campground has a boat launch. Several private campgrounds also include cabins and cottages. The Corps of Engineer operate the Old Highway 41#3 Campground, the southernmost of the lake campgrounds, near Acworth.
East Allatoona Lake
Three Corps of Engineer campgrounds let campers stay along the eastern shores of the lake, near Woodstock and Holly Springs. Sweetwater Campground, at the northern end, offers 150 tent and RV sites, including lakefront sites, while Victoria Campground and Payne Campground together offer more than 130 sites for tents and RVs. All campgrounds are located near docks and swimming beaches, and include fire rings, picnic areas, and dump stations.
