Come join us at this unforgettable camping spot at Historic Castleberry Bridge where the Gold Rush happened, the Indian fish trap still exist, the birth place of Denver Colorado and the hideout of Jesse James just some of the history that happened at your campsite on the Etowah River. Our motto is "Thanks for keeping it clean," so help us spread the word and keep it true!
Look for the gate at Castleberry Bridge Rd (right where the bridge crosses the river) and drive through the gate and left and George (owner) should be there. He will open the second gate for you where you will be able to drive through and park at your site - weather permitting. To the left of the first gate is the community area with toilet, grills, picnic tables, etc. Remember, your phone might not work near the river. If you need help, you might have to go back up to the road to call us. George (the owner) is there most every day and all day.
There's so much fun waiting for you to explore! Tubes are available for a $10 charge per day. If you're feeling extra adventurous, there are rope swings that let you swing over the river, and there are super cool places to splash around and swim, part of which, is in the Indian Fish Trap.
When your tummy starts rumbling, don't worry. We've got you covered with grills in the community area where you can cook delicious food. So you can have a tasty meal with the sound of the river flowing in the background. Also we are within 5-10 minutes to stores, restaurant , etc.
But wait, there's more excitement! If you're looking for an even bigger adventure, this is the perfect spot to begin an awesome kayaking trip if you brought your kayak. Castleberry Bridge is where people from all over the country come to experience going through the Miner's Tunnel.
So whether you want to float, swing, swim, or paddle, Castleberry Bridge is the place to be for all kinds of outdoor fun!
Camping price is for 2 adults. Kids under 13 camp free. For an additional fee you may add more adults to your group. George can arrange a pick for your kayak trip for $39 if needed.

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds
less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River.
Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time.
Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at
the website TVA.gov.
The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily.
This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more!
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River.
The campsites are equally close to downtown McCaysville, Ga. /Copper Hill, TN.
You are a short drive from Lake Blue Ridge, the Chattahoochee National Forest, Brasstown Bald and many hiking trails, such as the Aska adventure area, the Appalachian Trail, the Benton McCaye Trail, and trails in the Big Frog wilderness area, Cohutta wilderness area (largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi) the Rich Mountain wilderness area and the Project Chimps hiking trails. The Ocoee River whitewater center with the Olympic kayak rapids

Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid.
Some info about the property:
-we DO NOT have water or power hookups
-we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough)
-we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by)
-none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly)
-most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

As you drive in, you will see a self-serve Farm Stand. When you drive into the property to access your site, please drive straight to the field along the grassy pathway.
We have a clean toilet house. It is located between campsites 3 and 4.
Within a couple miles of our property there is mountain biking, hiking, lake access of swimming and boating. Bring your kayak to enjoy seeing Lake Nottely!
We live on the property, and it is a working homestead. We have chickens (roosters crowing too, sometimes in early hours - sorry about that). We ask that you keep your dogs *at your camp site at all times* (we have had camper's dogs run through the field at us and scare us to pieces and we'd rather not experience that again! lol)
Enjoy the sounds of the creek and put your tent on level land. We have firepits at each camp site. Firewood is available for purchase, just send us a message. We can deliver to your campsite. We also have tables and chairs for rent. We have farm fresh eggs! They are unwashed so no refrigeration needed. Need something else? Let us know, we want you to have the best, memorable stay ever!

For those who prefer the rustic crowing of roosters to a phone alarm, we have four chicken coops dispersed across the farm. Our horses freely roam the front pastures. We are a working farm with staff tending to various jobs throughout the day. We have a map to show where the camping site sits on the property. We intentionally leave some of our fields uncut. In some fields, the grass can come up above the knees. We leave that to the animals to take care of. All of our staff are super friendly and happy to help guide you to the best camping spot and answer any questions. In searching for your campsite please note that there may be livestock in and around certain areas as we rotate pastures.
Potable well water can be located from the blue spigot outside of the staff housing area, in between the orange and green tiny home, and outside the outdoor shower.

I really really enjoyed tent camping at River Ranch! The land is beautiful. There are a few trails that you can walk along the river and see the wildlife. Doni and Laiza ,were very responsive to any questions that I had during my stay and made suggestions on where to walk and what to look out for as far as wildlife. My experience was a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back soon.

It's a very quiet off the grid campground, they have events that you can come and join and plenty of land to explore. A very nice bath house, pavilion with corn hole boards and Thomas is very welcoming if you run into any issues while you are staying there

Castleberry Bridge has become our go to spot for our annual camping trip, and it truly is a hidden gem! We spent amazing days swimming, tubing, fishing, relaxing by the fire, and just enjoying being together.
The hosts are absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating, and always making sure everyone has what they need. Free firewood, daily trash pickup, and honestly some of the cleanest campsite bathrooms we’ve ever seen.
It’s incredibly family friendly, and we especially love that the dogs can be off leash and enjoy the trip right along with us. 🐾 Our pups give it two paws up\!
Another amazing trip in the books. We’ll definitely be back next year!

This was such an incredible space! We visited during a rainy weekend and ended up setting up our tent inside the covered area. Plenty of room for our tent and still had room to hang out and play cards. The firepit is massive and the rain stopped long enough for us to enjoy cooking over the fire. The outhouse (for what it was) was clean and had an excellent view. We had a family of deer visit along with some turkeys. We will definitely be coming back again.

George & Gini's site was so nice for a small getaway + they are amazing hosts. They helped us out with some small accomodations with a friendly attitude + no issue. You can tell just how much love, pride, and work the 2 of them have put towards this place. George is so friendly & we chatted with him a bunch about local history, things to do, some shared interests, etc. Gini was also a doll when it came to questions we had & some technical stuff with our booking.
The camp sites are a bit close to some other sites and the "road" through their land is more on the narrow side so I probably wouldnt recommend bringing/driving a pickup truck but our SUV had 0 issues navigating back + forth. There's a cute little butterfly farm about 5 min down the road that I totally recommend checking out. My only other suggestion would to definitely bring flashlights as once the sun goes down, it is a bit hard to see while walking.
We will most certainly be back next time we camp in GA!! Thank you again so much to George + Gini :)

The view was spectacular. The pictures don’t give it justice. The cabin I was in had a map of the area, Ga and Tn. It was just the right size for my dogs and I and the bed was very comfortable. I believe it was a tin roof and it rained that night. The sound was beautiful to me, not so good to my dog. The people were extra friendly. I felt very secure. I received a flash flood warning and was very concerned but heard the cart driving by ever so often. I had my dogs with me and I believe the camp dog came and took my dog on a walk😂😂. It was the cutest thing. I purchased so many mosquito items and never had to use them. I had to leave earlier than I wanted because my dog was so stressed and he is an elder dog. One last thing I don’t know what the heck I was thinking but driving up the mountain was extra scary for me. I was panicked about having to drive down. Guess what? There is a service for that. This farm is amazing and the hosts were so kind. Scenery was fantastic and camping spot perfect! Loved the farm animals too. I will definitely return in the future.

It's very quiet and peaceful. Has a nice bathhouse and the camping spots are far enough apart that it's hard to tell that anyone else is staying here. Definitely will be staying here when I'm back in town again

Great campsite! We stayed at site 4 and it was super quiet and private. The free firewood was a great bonus. Beautiful part of the state and we would definitely come back. Thanks for a great weekend Peter!

This was our first camping trip as a family, and George was incredibly hospitable and attentive. His helpful advice made our experience much easier. We ended up staying at campsite #1/2, which offered a great view and was conveniently located near the river. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend staying at this campground.

Exactly what I needed when stopping by on our way during a big move, brough the dog along and it was quiet so she didn’t bark! The bathrooms are a short walk away with hot shower!
