Canoochee River Rentals

5 sites ¡ Lodging, Tents1 acre ¡ Claxton, GA
Michael and Kimberly Duke bought a small cabin on the Canoochee River to enjoy as a family. They decided to list it on a vacation rental site. As this property was in full demand, another property became available to buy. As interest began to increase, the family decided open up the options for their visitors. At this current date, they have four cabins and a yurt, as well as, tent sites. We are excited about the yurt that was completed in August 2019. They are looking forward having another cabin in the near future. Learn more about this land: Spend a few days in a yurt on the bank of the Canoochee River! Locate a few miles from a small town. Grocery store, gas station, and dollar store! Wake up to the music of the birds and sit on the deck as you enjoy the fresh air! Take in nature like it was meant to be.

Yurts in Georgia guide

Overview

Whether you're hitting the trails in the Appalachians, chasing waterfalls through Georgia's northern corridor, or paddling through Lowcountry marshes and islands, a yurt offers a fun place to stay. Luckily, there’s no shortage of these rugged-yet-comfortable accommodations throughout Georgia. Reserve one at a number of state parks including Cloudland Canyon, Red Top Mountain, High Falls, Sweetwater Creek, and more. Privately owned yurts are even more readily available and let you stay close to other Georgia highlights, like the canyons of Tallulah Gorge and Tybee Island beaches. Georgia has something to offer visitors every time of year, including colorful foliage in fall, beaches in summer, and cozy yurts to curl up in during the mild winters. Yurt rentals span from rustic to luxe, so be sure to check for amenities like wifi, laundry, and kitchen access when booking.
