It's like having your own private summer camp! The unfurnished cabin is dry and clean. A huge upgrade from a tent (feel free to pitch your tents if you like)! The bathhouse offers hot showers, a flush toilet, and sink. The open pole barn has a deluxe camping kitchen set up with pots and pans, a propane stove, a coffee maker, and a dishwashing sink. There is also a dining table and chairs. While the property is close and convenient to Chattanooga, once you are enjoying the serene woods, shady trees, starry nights, and quality time with family and friends you will forget all about the city! While there are no full-time residents on the property, there is a small functioning horse farm about 100 yards from the camping area. On most days the owner will stop by to care for the horses, and teach riding lessons.It's like having your own private summer camp just minutes away from everything you want to do on Lookout Mountain and around Chattanooga! The Barn at Gerber Branch is a Private 20-acre property located just a few minutes from Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Hang-gliding, Rock City, and Lula Lake.  Nearby access to miles of public mountain biking and hiking trails! Wifi included. (Hi Speed Fiber) The unfurnished cabin is dry and clean.  A huge upgrade from a tent (feel free to pitch your tents if you like)! The bathhouse offers hot showers, a flush toilet, and sink. The open pole barn has a deluxe camping kitchen set up with pots and pans, a propane stove, and a dishwashing sink.  There is also a dining table and chairs. While the property is close and convenient to Chattanooga, once you are enjoying the serene woods, shady trees, starry nights, and quality time with family and friends you will forget all about the city! On most days, the owner will stop by to care for the horses, teach, riding lessons. Campfires are allowed within local regulations. Please practice fire safety. Keep fires small and do not leave them unattended. Pets are welcome!

Very much enjoyed the solitude and warm shelter during all the rain. The wood burning stove kept everything warm and dry. Good hot shower and clean toilet. Freedom for my pup to explore. Would stay here again.

We love this place so much! It was so peaceful & the amenities are amazing! Loved being able to take a warm shower. The neighbor horses were so beautiful and the kids loved looking at them.

This place was AMAZING! Exactly what I wanted. Not near anyone. Perfect for my antisocial self 😉. It was just me and a friend, but this place has a ton of space. I love how it as the essentials for everything. I want to bring my grown kids back. They will love it.

George is an excellent host and the property has so much to offer. Wether you consider yourself a primitive camper and backpacker or prefer a more laid back weekend with amenities and comfort, Georges property is well equipped to satisfy anyone's ideal "weekend in the woods".

This is the perfect set up!

Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres
This was the perfect spot for my son and I. We were looking for a place close to everything (Cloudland Canyon and Lookout Mountain) and this was perfect. The owner has this place set up perfectly. There is a barn area that has a table and sink/prep area (a lot more technically if you don't bring your own stuff), a rustic cabin with electric and a full open air bathroom with an on demand water heater and normal flush toilet (more posh than we usually go for). Also two fire pit areas, plenty of trees to hang hammocks and if your adventurous on the back of the land is the connector trail to The Moonshine Trails. You could also walk to Lulu Lake if open (which has limited open days which we weren't lucky enough). There is a working horse farm next door as explained and entertaining to watch, but they were no disturbance what-so-ever. For those that are thinking about it, there was also no smell. Saw the owner out there leading some groups, but they were to themselves. The barn cats Lucky and Boo were around each day. My son loved hanging out with them. They were very affectionate. We spent a couple days just relaxing and didn't even leave. So very peaceful! Overall I just loved this place and likely will try to make my way back again.

Perfect for groups and exploring!

Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres
Incredibly beautiful campsite and literally everything you would ever need to have a great trip. Insane waterfall that you can hike to directly from the campsite and the host is super grateful to help you at any time or give suggestions for anything you would need. The land is not far from most major stores like walmart or publix which goes perfect with the large open air kitchen in the barn. There was also so much space in the cabin to fit people and a big plot just outside for those that want to pitch tents and hang hammocks. Would love to come back again soon and keep exploring the mountain, the scenery was endless.
