This was a great spot to spend an afternoon and night in Folkston. The campsite pads and facilities are in excellent condition and well maintained. We are railfans so we enjoyed the trackside location. Twenty six trains passed through town during our stay. The Folkston railfan park is adjacent to the campsite. The Okefenokee Swamp visitor center is a short drive away and worth a visit.

The host did inform me of an alligator nearby which was alarming, but I never saw and took precautions against seeing it! The area was serene and quiet. The host and her husband were very friendly and sweet! I would recommend staying here whether for an overnight or several nights!!!

When we first arrived we didn’t realize that we had booked an RV site which was in the field and lacks privacy. April was quick to find alternative sites for us to camp at and we ended up staying at one of the tent sites. It was beautiful and much more private. April’s place is dog friendly and my puppers enjoyed being off-leash. They also provided firewood at a very reasonable rate. We would absolutely stay again! Only con was the bugs, but… that’s camping!
