The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run.
Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool
Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

All 3 are full hookup sites. We have horses, a couple cows, chickens, ducks and our bunny fluffy. We are 3 miles from Devils den and 4 miles from the blue grotto. Enjoy all the springs around pur area or just enjoy the property. Price includes 6 stalls warm with feed and tac room as well as 4 paddocks and riding area.

The hosts and co-hosts were kind folks. The property is right on the river and the river is beautiful there. There were nice trails in the woods to walk and saw some deer too. So pretty and peaceful. They have two docks far enough from each other that you can float on a tube for about 15 minutes and easy walking distance through their trails back. Super cute place! Thank you Bowman's!

5 stars — Suwannee River gem, worth the careful approach
This campsite is one of the best spots we’ve found. Gorgeous river views, peaceful, and clearly cared for by an owner who’s genuinely invested in the experience. Not to mention the campsite being fenced on 3 sides made it a joy to bring our 4 legged children.
One thing worth knowing if you’re in a larger rig: the driveway takes some maneuvering. The owner gave us a heads-up ahead of time, which we really appreciated, and with a little patience and humor we were able to back our rig in down the driveway from the street without much trouble. If you’re driving something sizable, just budget a few extra minutes and maybe walk the drive first. Don’t let it scare you off! It’s a fair trade for a site this nice with a full hook up. We used an extension for both the power cord and the septic. We parked in the driveway and not on the designated pad as per the owners helpful suggestion.
Highly recommend, and we’ll be back.

We loved that the camp is situated between the Santa Fe and Ichetucknee so close to where they converge, and how clear and beautiful were the waters of each (albeit the former was more tannic, with darker bottom sediment--still very clear though). Loved being kept company by groups of does and spotted fawns coming through, which didn't seem to mind our presence. Towering oaks above, and fish jumping constantly below. Yes there are fire ants, but it's Florida--we were able to deal with that minor annoyance given the general awesomeness of the place. Will return ASAP.

We absolutely loved our weekend in Cabin 2. The tiny cabin feel was perfect for our family. Our toddler truly enjoyed seeing deer on our morning walks and the river access gave our dog a safe place to cool off. The tree swing was also a big hit for us. Quick drive to Ichetucknee Springs which was beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Blackwater Ranch is a real gem of a property. Lots of activities, plenty of space, and tons of easy access to the river, which is the star of the show. One of the unique features of rivers in this area is their white sand beaches and Blackwater Ranch has some of the best I've seen. The river was low when I visited (drought) but I can tell that even when full it is a fairly shallow and slow moving river with multiple spots that stay shallow due to the way the water deposits sand, making it a great river for younger kids. Even the bugs weren't too bad, which being summer in FL/GA was a welcome surprise. The property is equipped with the necessities for a comfortable experience (water, electricity, pit toilet) but still very primitive and rustic.
I camped one night solo but will certainly be back with a group of friends!

Es un sitio apartado del bullicio, las redes sociales, los teléfonos la Internet ahí te encontrarás con tu paz mental y la naturaleza nos quedamos en la cabaña ocho. Lo único que no me gustó que el baño lo teníamos un poco alejado y empezó a llover y no tocó comer comida frisada porque la parte de la leña y el carbón estaba afuera y no no tenía techo pero por todo lo demás un sitio súper mega tranquilo los dueños, increíblemente personas educadas y correctas. Si quieres desconectarte, te lo recomiendo al 100%

My family and I had a really lovely time. We were allowed to roam the property and visit in the fields with the livestock.
The old farm house is still on the property as well, originally built in the 1840’s.
Site was very private. If you are weary of “creepy crawlies” I think the meadow is a good choice (you are still in the country). My little ones could roam without much concern. I absolutely loved it.

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like an old friend. The hosts are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and it's obvious how much they love their family farm and the history that surrounds it. They aren't just offering a campsite—they're preserving a piece of Florida's past.
The campsite itself was beautiful, secluded, and incredibly peaceful. Exploring the sinkhole, listening to the birds, and enjoying the dark night sky was exactly what I needed. As someone who writes about Old Florida and its forgotten places, I felt right at home.
One of the highlights was learning about the nearly 200-year-old family home and hearing the stories behind the land. It's rare to find hosts who genuinely enjoy sharing the history of their property, and that made the experience even more special.
Yote and I had an amazing stay, and I left feeling rested, inspired, and already planning our next trip back. Next time, I hope to bring my family so they can experience this hidden gem for themselves.
