🌿 Welcome to Blackwater Just 40 minutes outside Jacksonville, Blackwater is a secluded 10+ acre private riverfront property tucked along Georgia’s southernmost edge, right on the FL–GA line. Set on a quiet bend of the St. Marys River and backed by 150+ acres of protected Florida preserve, this is real privacy, open space, natural beauty, and true “Old Florida” country vibes you won’t find in crowded camps. 🌊 The River Experience Fed by the Okefenokee Swamp, the water carries natural tannins from peat, giving it that deep black look in the depths and a golden “sweet tea” color in the shallows. ✔️ Clean, refreshing water — ideal for swimming ✔️ Soft white sugar-sand bottom (no mud, no rocks) ✔️ No pollutants or runoff ✔️ Naturally filtered water with antibacterial properties Swim between two states at once — the middle of the river is the state line! 🏝️ A Rare Natural Setting Blackwater sits on Trail Ridge, a prehistoric coastal dune that once formed the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Today, that elevated sand ridge meets the river, creating a rare white sugar-sandbar beach, a natural feature you won’t find on most riverfront properties. 🏕️ Built for Groups & Private Gatherings At the river’s edge sits a 70-ft covered riverfront pavilion, the heart of the experience and a true standout feature. ✔️ Power & water hookups ✔️ Shaded gathering space with river views ✔️ Room to cook, relax, and host ✔️ Custom Firepit, grills, fans, tables & chairs This setup is ideal for: • Private group camping • Family reunions • Birthdays & bachelor trips • Weddings & full property buyouts 👉 Want the entire place to yourselves? Full-property bookings are available for complete privacy in a one-of-a-kind Southern country setting. The Experience 🛶 Kayak & paddle the river 🏊 Swim or place chairs in the river to cool off 🎣 River & pond fishing 🌌 Stargazing 🥾 Trails & light exploring 🐦 birdwatching 🐕 Dog-friendly (FREE) 🚗 Easy drive-in access 📶 Limited service (a chance to unplug) 🧭 Nearby 📍 Minutes from St. Mary's Shoals Park 📍 Close to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge (Okefenokee Adventures) We keep it intentionally small and private, so weekend sites are the first to go. Glenn Farm

Fort White, FL · 3 sites · Tents, RVs
The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.
