We had a great weekend camping here. I loved that it was right on the water. Having the parks near by as well was an added bonus. We are hoping to come next summer again.

Beautiful spot! Would definitely recommend! The wife and I stopped in for a good reset and relax. Deer walked the property and the fish in the river jumped all day. Water felt amazing and was surprisingly clear as it had rained for days prior.

Was exactly as described. Easy to find. We only spent the night and morning but was calm and beautiful.
Easy to pull up had electric and water / sink right there. Bathroom short walk.

We really enjoyed staying on the river. It is a side lot of an existing home but setting up camp correctly and it appears as you are camping alone in the wilderness. The river is crystal clear. I drive a 35' class A and there was plenty of room. We will make this a regular stop. There is no need to leave to go tubing. Why float with hundreds when you can have the river to your self. Like I said we really enjoyed our stay

Amazing location! You can float down the Santa Fe to the intersection of the Ichetucknee at Point Park, hop out, and walk back to your site.

The site is next to the owners house, but we found no issue with that at all. We were able to park our camper facing the river and it felt very private. The electric hook up worked great and water available was a bonus. The site over looks a beautiful river with deer and wildlife all around. We were very happy in general and would recommend it.

Great stay! Nice level spot. Quite surroundings, lots of wildlife in the area. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway. Bring your kayaks or tubes and float on the Santa Fe. The springs are also nearby for floating, snorkeling or diving..

This isn’t a private campsite; it’s essentially a backyard located about 50 feet from the host’s house. We stayed for two nights, and the AC unit was quite disruptive. There was also a large camper bus parked on the property, which added to the noise at night.
The toilet setup was basic, consisting only of a bucket, and it wasn’t a composting system, so we chose not to use it. Fortunately, a state park restroom was about a 10-minute drive away, but leaving the site for basic needs was inconvenient, especially at night.
The surrounding area isn’t very secluded, with houses on both sides and a boat ramp just a few hundred feet away. We also felt the listing was somewhat misleading—the photos focus more on nearby springs rather than the actual campsite. The proximity of the host’s house is not clearly disclosed, and it felt like there was limited privacy.
This spot might work for someone in a camper van looking for a quick overnight stay, but it’s not well-suited for tent camping. While the nearby state park and springs were great and kept us occupied during the day, the campsite itself didn’t feel comfortable or worth the price.

Just got back from our weekend trip and feel refreshed. Michael was very friendly and helpful and his site was beautiful. My family relaxed right by the water, watching fish swim by and listening to the sounds of nature. It was the perfect peaceful getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Mr. Mike and his wife were supper nice people that made you feel completely welcomed. They answered all of my questions and answered very quickly. They also stayed to them selves while we stayed. So if your an introvert like me, don't get discouraged by looking at the pictures and feeling like your in someone's back yard with no privacy. There is plenty of privacy and I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with them. Thank you guys for sharing your little peice of heaven with us.

We have reserved 4A River Camp multiple times during February and each time we have loved this beautiful and peaceful site! Being right on the banks of Santa Fe River is amazing! The site is spacious and private as well as being accessible to Ichetucknee Springs SP. We always enjoying canoeing, snorkeling, bicycling right from our camp.

Just returned from tent camping along the Sante Fe River in December. It was yet another absolutely wonderful experience. The crisp winter air, combined with water made for a peaceful and refreshing getaway. You've just gotta see the morning fog over the river. I went with a small group of friends and brought along our dog, who had the time of her life exploring the yard, playing fetch, and basking in the sun.
The Hipcamp location itself is well-maintained with tons of space, and a beautiful view on the water. Even though it was December, we stayed warm with a campfire, hot drinks, and plenty of layers. Great nighttime stargazing, too.
What really stood out, though, was our host. Michael is incredibly friendly and helpful. His hospitality truly enhanced the experience and made us feel welcomed and cared for.
I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a winter tent camping spot by the river.

My husband, myself and another couple (and a dog) camped here for a long weekend. While it is along the side of the property owners house/parking area, Mike is a great host and it is waterfront, right along the Santa Fe. Outside of checking in with us to ensure we didn't need anything, we were left alone to enjoy ourselves. This area is truly stunning, and a 3 minute drive on a golf cart to a private park with flushing toilets and access to the Ichetucknee. If you've never seen the Ichetucknee, it's positively breathtaking, and this campsite gives you access to it. There's electric, water, a firepit, a sink, and a closet thing where you can take a hot shower and use a bucket toilet if you need it. At night deer are just walking around in the area, and the trees are old and massive. We absolutely LOVED the area and will definitely return!

We loved the camp spot. The view of the river was amazing. We enjoyed fishing, taking a walk down to the park.
The spot may seem small when you 1st arrive but once settled in it had plenty of room and privacy.
We hope to go back soon.

We had a wonderful time at Camp 4A! The property is beautiful — peaceful, private, and surrounded by wildlife. We saw so many deer and wild turkey throughout the neighborhood! Mike was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.
Our only downside was that the dock was broken during our visit and the riverbank was mostly slick limestone, which made it tough to get in and out for swimming. However, there’s a gorgeous park less than a ten-minute walk away where you can access the river easily for a dip! Firewood available onsite for a reasonable price was also a bonus!

The river view was amazing and camp site was perfect for our class c rv. Water and electric was good and camp site was level and clean . We enjoyed our 2 day stay but was disappointed that a tree had taken out the dock and there was really no safe way to enter the river safely to swim or float. A lot of sharp rock and rocks were very slippery even when wearing water shoes. Would not recommend this site if your thoughts are to swim not until the dock is fixed so you can enter the water safely.

Great spot but you are literally in someone's side yard...this was a bonus for me since I was solo camping. You can kayak to the Ichetucknee but paddling up it is quite the endeavor. This spot was clean and level with firepit. It is just a few feet down to the Santa Fe River and it was fairly easy to pull my single kayak up and down the hill to the river. There is a great limestone area in front of the camping spot that is perfect for floating....but wear river shoes. It was also nice to have the private parks on the Ichetucknee...the water was beautiful. There was a hot shower and outdoor sink. There was also a bucket toilet in the shower but i never needed since im self contained. The host was very quick to respond and quite pleasant but they were not home so i had the whole place to myself. As a solo camper i felt very safe. Be sure to drive into Branford for the smash burger from Burger Heaven.....soooo good!
