We had an amazing weekend!! We came for the weekend for couples weekend to have a few days to relax. The campsite has everything you need and very comfortable. It is very private and beautiful views and hike. The owner Janet was great and made our weekend even better. We will definitely be coming back and probably bring the kids next trip 😁

We had a blast. I brought my dog and he was in heaven. The weather was cold and raining but since the property had plenty of rain protection and fire place/fire pit, it didn’t spoil our fun. We slept in the screened in room and used the outlets for electric blankets. We’ll be back again!

Such a fun site. Access to amenities so you don't have to rough it while still being close to beautiful nature trails. You can get what you want out of it - whether that's hiking/fishing/activities or just relaxing by the fire all day. Brought my two year old and she had a blast.

Lots of hiking and river views
Six of us spent a weekend camping on Janet's land which is perfect for our Tab clamshell and a few tents. Covered areas really came in handy as it rained a bit. Fireplace that is under cover was terrific during the rainstorm. We stayed cozy and dry. The camp site was private and quiet. It is perfect for a small family or friends gathering. Dog friendly. The area surrounding the camp was a surprise with wonderful, marked hiking trails leading to a enchanting waterfall. Not something you get to see often in Florida. We will be back!

Beyond your typical tent camping
Janet is a great host, providing everything you could need for an elevated camping experience. Two options for a camp fire, some starter wood, and a lovely basket with s'mores were a nice touch. The main covered area with sitting areas, cooking and prep area plus running hot water for cleanup, so convenient! The tiki torches helped with the mosquitoes, and the screened hangout area was perfect. On top of all that, multiple access points to the river for fishing, paddling, and relaxing were fantastic. Plus there are miles and miles of trails to explore and really enjoy the area. Overall extremely enjoyable and highly recommended!

Hidden Gem Along the Upper Suwannee
This was our second stay at the adjacent sites that make up Suwannee River Glamping. Our first stay was at the G-Spot (Ginny's Gazebo), which was a cozy, romantic, and semi-primitive tent site right on the river. That trip was so great that we returned with friends and rented this larger RV and glamping area that is set back a short distance from the river.
Our RV camper was able to utilize the hook-ups, while the tent campers used the on-site amenities. The bathroom area was clean and in good repair and contained a real toilet, sink, and shower with hot water. The pole barn was set up with a camp sink, table and chairs, electric griddle, coffee maker, toaster oven, tiny fridge, grill, fireplace, tiki torches, and more. We also brought an extension cord to run power out to our tent from one of the multiple outlets.
We had plenty of room and privacy all weekend, plus lots of nature to explore. During the day we enjoyed hiking along the Florida Trail, checking out the creek, and scrambling down to reach the beach. Back at camp, the big fire ring was perfect for when it got chilly at night.
During the planning stage, Janet was so easy to work with, and she and Jerry were both very helpful on-site. They both go out of their way to communicate as needed and to make sure you enjoy your stay. We felt very appreciative for hosts like this who share such wonderful properties with us Hipcampers!

Fantastic spot to camp
My wife and I had a fantastic 2 day stay. Even with some rain and July heat it was wonderful. Oct to May would be dreamy. If you are looking for a quiet, natural, private getaway you would be hard pressed to beat this. This was our first hipcamp stay and it exceeded our every expectation. I was reluctant to spend that much for a campsite but WELL WORTH IT. We hiked for hours on wooded trails along the beautiful river, right from camp. We loved having a covered area with a fireplace and the outdoor shower was wonderful.
Janet went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time.

Suwannee River Glamping
We loved the property! So many cool spots to explore, from the disappearing creek to the sandy river beaches. The campsite feels secluded, but there’s still easy access to amenities in town. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch to escape the bugs at night and making s’mores in the fire pit. My kids especially loved wading in the river and catching the little fish. Janet was easy to communicate with, and Jerry was so helpful in getting us set up and showing us around. He even helped us back up our trailer on the day we left! We’re already planning to come back in the winter with our bikes so we can cover more ground and check out the area further.

Awesome Time!
We absolutely loved staying at Janet's amazing outdoor haven surrounded by wilderness and completely private. We enoyed our beautiful surroundings and we absolutely loved the Suwannee River. We took our kayaks and put in from Janets property. We also hiked sone of the Fl trail, also accessible from Janet's property. We will absolutely return!

Peaceful, private, comfortable!
We had a great visit on Janet's property! Janet allowed us to check in a bit early, and Jerry greeted us and was very accommodating (you can purchase firewood from him when you arrive). The campsite includes a covered area with an RV (locked and used for owner's storage), an outdoor fireplace, table, chairs, and outdoor couch. There's also a small kitchenette outside with a toaster, microwave, griddle, coffeepot, pots and pans, etc. We brought our tent and ended up getting a lot of rain, so the covered area was amazing!! We set up our tent under the cover and stayed dry by the fire all weekend. When there were breaks in the rain, we explored the property. The river is a short walk from the campsite - so private and peaceful! There is a zen deck that overlooks the river, a gazebo, and a kayak launch a short distance away as well. They've spent a lot of time making the property welcoming and peaceful - we would definitely return! There was a festival going on at Spirit of Suwannee Music Park and you could occasionally hear a little base from the sound system when the wind blew just right. Jerry was around if you needed him (he gave us a lighter when ours died) and Janet checked in occasionally and was very flexible with check-in/check-out. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing time glamping at Suwannee River! Janet was such a wonderful host. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy! The site had so many amenities which made our camp trip super easy and fun. The screened patio was a perfect way for us to hang outside with our doggies. The river and nearby walking trails gave us plenty of opportunities to keep busy! We are already looking at dates to plan another (longer) visit!

Suwannee River Glamping
We had a great time at Janet’s place on the Suwannee River. So much space all to ourselves. Lots of room for the kids to run around in the woods. It’s a little bit of a walk down to the river but once you get down there it’s so nice to have the river all to yourself. The river was high when we were there but we were still able to swim close to the bank. The hiking trail along the Suwannee river runs right through Janet’s property. So it was great to have endless hiking trails available to explore right from the property.

Amazing camp sites!
The absolute best camping experience we could have ever asked for. From the initial booking, Janet was extremely communicative and provided us with a wonderful welcome packet to get us acquainted to the area. Upon arrival, Jerry met us at the end of the road and took us to the site and even took us on a tour of the surrounding areas and two other campsites closer to the river. Jerry was available to us during our entire trip when we had questions or needed more firewood. A welcome basket of S'more making supplies was a really nice touch and surprise.
This campsite has everything you need to allow you to primitive camp but also to have the comforts of home. A real toilet, hot water shower and sink, toaster over, fridge, microwave, griddle, charcoal grill and burners. Huge firepit kept us warm all night and the clear skies allowed us to see endless stars.
We rented a golf cart from Jerry and it was much needed as I was still recovering from knee surgery. We explored the Florida Trail, found white sand beaches, waterfalls, and other areas of the river. All can be reached on foot but the golf cart made it more fun.
Janet was a wonderful host, always making sure we were comfortable. My son loved these 6 acres so much, we plan on coming back in May. If you're looking in this area, don't look any further. Book these campsites for an amazing experience and some wonderful family bonding memories.

Beautiful property & nice hosts
Really nice property with a few different camping options. Hosts are very nice and helpful. Bathroom is clean and they have a nice sitting area aside from the bonfire put. Narrow dirt roads to get in and out but just go really slow and Jerry will guide you through if needed. Tick your deet with you ;)

Friendly hosts,Awesome trail access
Jerry and Janet were super accommodating, and even brought s’mores for the kids. Highlight of this spot for our family of four was the direct access to a lovely portion of the Florida Scenic Trail (along the Suwannee River). Don’t miss the short but magical hike around Disappearing Creek. One thing to note is that although it’s “glamping” you shouldn’t expect an upscale site. It’s very basic and not fancy, and you will see other houses—at a distance—through the woods. Because we had our own RV to sleep in, we didn’t feel it was the best value for money. But, if you were sleeping in the screen tent and/or actually using the kitchen, shower and toilet, that would be a better value—you could just show up in your car and have everything you need. And, the proximity to the trails and river is super special. Would also be fun for a larger group in tents, due to social areas (covered outdoor kitchen, screen room) with ample sites for camping around it.

The site was better than expected! Beautiful trees and clear night skies. The screened in hut was the perfect place to hang a hammock and enjoy nature. Toilet and shower were very clean and easily accessible. Overall the property was well lit, especially if you use the tiki torches, but the veranda was slightly darker. Wouldn’t hurt to bring a few extra lights with you! The gazebo aka “G spot” is the perfect spot to watch a sunset, about a 5 minute walk away from the campsite. Jerry was a great concierge, very responsive and attentive. I recommend bringing your own fire wood. A full stack is $40 which lasted us from sun down to 12am. If you’re lucky, Jerry will let you rent his kayak or canoe for an additional $40.
