Ichetucknee Springs offers excellent river rafting. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Manatee Springs and Fanning Springs consistently offer up close sightings of Manatees without the crowds of Crystal River. There is also a boat launch on the Suwannee River just minutes from the farm for boating, skiing and fishing. Bob's River Place is minutes away.The Gulf of Mexico is just 40 miles away. Kim was an awesome host. Camp site was level and secluded. Only 3 primitive camp sites to this 20 acre property. Well laid out. If it wasn't for the tent we were in you would swear it was a fine motel. The facilities were amazing. Just a really good relaxing time.

What a beautiful place they put together! We’ve been all over with our RV and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed in! It’s so peaceful and quiet, easily accessible, super clean and level! The bath house is a great extra! For a small fee we were able to shower and use a real toilet. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the fire pit and lights at night make you truly appreciate what you went on your journey for!! Thank you Neal’s nest for sharing it with our family!

Great slice of paradise, climb in isn't for anyone with mobility issues, but able-bodied folks no problem but bring a tent if your staying the night, insects are big it's nature.. ants are unreal above the sink, not any within thankfully Clean with a single exception(sm PC overlooked debris), nicer than expected.. overall worth the novelty, notably cooler in sink, visited in the morning by turkeys, road noise is unnoticeable during the day, enough at night to want earplugs/ some other means of coping Crystal clear water, with small mosquito fish maybe? Definitely bigger/ deeper in person Water is spring cold

Primitive Campsite one was perfect, I love the open grounds and access to the water. Access to the Springs from the water, nights were still nice and cool. Make sure to keep an eye on fire bans in the area. Will be back!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is well kept and feels secluded but you’re less than 5 min from a few stores and restaurants. There’s no visual barrier between the one neighbor but they were polite and not intrusive at all. It’s a very quiet area and it was great to kick back and relax. We loved hanging out by the river and our dogs were in heaven.

Visited in August 2025. The sink is incredibly beautiful. The water is like a sapphire and you can see the light reflecting off the limestone. It was amazing to see such a natural sinkhole in today’s era of overdevelopment. Michael is a wonderful, accommodating host. You can tell that he takes pride in what he does. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience a piece of authentic old Florida.

Capt.’s spot is just lovely. Super private, very peaceful with amazing sunset views! Perfect place to either paddle on the Suwannee River or a quick drive to lots of Springs! We did a few floats down Ichetucknee Springs about a 15min drive from Capt.’s place. He is a great host!

We know people throw around the phrase “crystal clear water” all the time — but with Fanning Springs, no description is more apt. The spring stays at a cool 72-degrees year round, thanks to the 65 million gallons of water it pumps in daily. And like we said, the water is as clear as a freshly-windexed window — which makes it super easy to spot the manatees that float into the spring from time to time. So don your swim goggles, snorkel, or full-on scuba gear and take a dip. When you’re ready to dry off, try exploring the park’s nearly mile-long hiking trail that winds through hearty hardwoods and pines. Just be sure to watch your step; you’ll spot quite a few small sinkholes along the trail, which were formed when underground caverns collapsed. Since the spring sits right off of the Suwannee River, it’s a super popular spot for paddlers to launch from. And pro tip: Fanning Springs in only seven miles away from Manatee Springs, so paddling from spring to spring on the river makes a great trip.
