Great spot for me & my two boys. Plenty of space to run around & play games, new horseshoe pit was great. The property is so well kept. The lights on the trees & the stairs were great at night. So much provided like fire pit, grill, chairs, etc. Favorite part was fishing & swimming from the pier. My boys said, Capt C was one of the happiest, nicest people they have ever met, and I would agree. We will be back...in the fall...when it cools off. Lol. Thanks for a great weekend!

Capt.’s spot is just lovely. Super private, very peaceful with amazing sunset views! Perfect place to either paddle on the Suwannee River or a quick drive to lots of Springs! We did a few floats down Ichetucknee Springs about a 15min drive from Capt.’s place. He is a great host!

This was our second visit to Capt’s Land and we’re already looking forward to our next trip! The property is private, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. We love relaxing around the fire pit in the evenings, and having firewood provided makes it even better. The river view is absolutely gorgeous and makes the whole stay feel so special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature.

We loved this campsite! It had everything we need it and the place is beautiful! I was breathing in the morning looking out to the river! Very clean also. Capt. was very nice came over and said hello!! We will definitely be coming back!

This is a great site.

The site is great for a relaxing stay. The accommodations were very nice. We enjoyed fishing, making s’more’s around the fire pit and playing horse shoes. There was firewood available on site for us to use.
The WiFi was great for watching tv a night.

Absolutely everything was perfect….. help pulling in at dark to a fire in the pit waiting for us….. best Captain and his family, also own a 3 br air bnb 2 door down which is so beautiful and family oriented …. The silence at night was amazing, we will be back for sure and our dogs loved it .

We loved staying at The Hatch Bend Hideaway. Captain Cas is an awesome host and a pleasure to speak with. The place is in a beautiful setting on Suwanee River. A short boat ride from many of the springs.

What a great place to camp! The view of the river, sunsets , campfires, peaceful, access to the river- all were great! We also did a day of spring hopping with the camper! Capt. C came by to see if we needed anything & he also gave us some good tips about the area! Would definitely recommend & hope to go back!

The RV space was perfect. It is on the river. It is private. There is a fire pit with a couple of tables and chairs, firewood, trash bins. The space is beautiful. It is easy to pull in and out. There is a floating dock. The area is a perfect spot to visit many springs in the area on the Suwannee and Santa Fe Rivers. The host was responsive and non-obtrusive. Highly recommend and hope to return.

Great River Location

What a great location! The site was super clean and very level. We brought our boat and launched just down the road and left it at the dock for the weekend. Easy access to springs in both directions by boat. If you are looking for a bite on the river we tied up downtown and walked across the bike trail to burgers. Headed south if you turn down the Sante Fe there are a couple of restaurants in that direction too.
Very quiet, decent service with Verizon, a place we will keep on our list for sure!

Great site! Exactly as advertised. Private, clean, peaceful with plenty of shade trees. Drive thru site for your RV or boat. Beautiful river views and a well maintained dock for your boat.
WiFi and firewood were available and were a great plus. You will not be disappointed if you like peace and quite.

We tent camped with our two dogs and it was an amazing weekend! Capt Cas was so friendly and easy to communicate with, and we had the pleasure of meeting his dad, Bob, who welcomed us when we arrived. The view of the river was breathtakingly beautiful, the sites and sounds of nature cleansed our souls, and we feel very fortunate to have stayed on this sacred land. Thanks so much Capt Cas!

The worst site ever!!!!

I do not recommend this place, first at the entrance of the property there is a huge hole where my travel trailer fell and suffered damage on the entire left side apart from the fact that I had to pay $800.00 to free my Trailer from the hole. To this day Capt has never contacted me. In addition, we were without electricity or water for a whole day. I wrote him several messages and also made several calls to his cell phone and he never responded. Anyway, I have to wait to see what my lawyers recommend I do.

If you like to combine boating and camping this spot is about perfect. There’s a dock attached to a nice gangway that held our 20’ Mako. Lots of space to spread out or even camp with friends. Fantastic view of the river and a nice mix of sun and shade. The Host Capt C is full of great info and recommendations. He has a large 5th wheel under a polebarn on the property several yards away and was there on and off during our visit. Must have a 50a electric plug or converter as there are no other outlets. There’s water hook up too, but that was a bit brown/tannish colored even with an inline rv water filter so we wonder if drinkable. Very cool spot if you don’t mind camping with your host.
