Jason and Erika Collins Collins own Collins Farm along with their three daughters: Hannah, Isabella, and Elliana.  Our family migrated to Florida in 2017, with our three daughters and horse trailer full of animals. Originally living in the Naples area for a couple years, we missed living the farm life and having our animals living right beside us. So we searched for somewhere that felt more like home.  Erika having a background in Public Health, traded in her high heels for muck boots and in June of 2020, Collins Farm was established in Micanopy. She integrates her knowledge of nutrition and disease into the farm, focusing on how each animal can help support the health of the farm. We have since added many new additions to the farm and continue to learn and grow each day.  On our 10 acre farm we currently breed Nigerian Dwarf goats, offer event space rental with petting farm, and photo opportunity sessions.  Collins Farm is conveniently located 20 minutes south of Gainesville and 30 minutes north of Ocala, off of interstate 75.  Learn more about this land: Full RV hook up located right in the heart of our farm. You will see and hear goats, horses, Charlie the pig, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs, and most likely deer, sand cranes, and the occasional bald eagles, throughout your stay. You can enjoy the petting farm and fresh chicken eggs for breakfast straight from the coop for a small fee.  A pasture is right next to the RV hook up so if you need to bring your best horse friend, they can camp right alongside of you for an additional $15.00 a day. You just need to show proof of Coggins and vaccines before arrival. Sand riding arena available for use, at your own risk. Pets are welcome as well, as long as they stay on a leash the entire time and are cleaned up after. A fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs and picnic table is set up right outside your door. The historic town of Micanopy is just a few minute drive and offers antique shopping, restaurants, unique gift shops, and entertainment. Paynes Prarie Preserve State Park is just a couple minute drive away and offers hiking trails and wildlife sightseeing. There is also trails for horseback riding within two miles of Collins Farm.

Starry nights with rooster wake up
Fun family farm with opportunities to play and jump on their trampoline. Outhouse is adorable and hook up was easy. Close to UF will stay again.

I was looking for a few peaceful days of camping and I could not have picked a better spot. The campsite overlooks the pasture with plenty of animal companions so there was wonderful animal chatter in the background as the talked among themselves. The animals are friendly and obviously well loved and cared for, I would stay here again.

Wonderful Little Farm!
We loved our stayed at the Collins Farm. Our trip started out with a slight delay caused by a tropical storm in November. We just didn’t plan on that. Erika responded quickly to messages and we salvaged our trip. Her and her husband were great hosts. We loved their farm and all the wonderful animals, especially Eduardo, their turkey. While we were there we ate breakfast and shopped at the quaint little town of Micanopy. There is a little bbq place just down the road at a Marathon gas station, too. If you don’t feel like cooking. We also rode the trails in our bikes at Payne’s Prairie State Park. Overall it was a great trip! We would definitely recommend the Collin’s Farm!

Delightful experience
Collins Farm and all of its residents, including the humans are wonderful! It was a delightful experience for our whole family. We we’re in town for my daughters basketball tournament and Collins Farm was our landing spot through the weekend. We enjoyed the animals, had a fire, got to meet the more than pleasant owners, and just enjoyed our time looking over the green pastures and the country roads. They do still exist!

Beautiful spot, excellent hosts
Single site next to a house and field. Farm animals nearby. Full hookup was available although I only needed the electrical. Hosts were awesome, sheep were hilariously friendly with my pups through the fence and goats were a bit more cautious. LOL enjoyed my stay. Pity I was not staying longer as it’s a beautiful property. If it’s been raining know that the soil will be soft and if you have a heavy rig, you may need 4x4 over the grassy area. If you’re wide and long, be careful coming through the shared gate as there isn’t a ton of room. Doable cautiously.

Amazing place
We absolutely loved our week on the farm! Our 3 sons were over the moon with all the animals and helped out often. The property is very well kept, clean, quiet and private. We have stayed on many farms and I must say, this was by far the cleanest and well cared for yet. There was plenty of room for our 42 ft fifth wheel and long bed, Dually truck. We have added this to one of our favorite places!

Camping on a farm!
We didn't get to enjoy the location as much as we would have liked due to rain! But good news it wasn't under water! The rain held out yesterday and the girls got to pet and feed the animals in the petting zoo!! They loved it! The little shed with cute activities was an awesome touch with the rainy weather. The trampoline was an awesome surprise. Very quiet area! My suggestion is to download some shows on a lap top or iPad! The cell service isn't good. We will be back! Thank you for your hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay at Collins Farm. The farm itself was extremely peaceful, the animals super cute and funny, and Erika was a great host. You really could not beat the location. It was right next to town and only minutes away from the sights.

Great place to stay!
This is a great spot. Close to Gainesville and Ocala. So much to to do in these areas. You’ll see horses as you look out your window and many other animals. Erika is super friendly and attentive! They provided trash, wifi and all full hookups - 50amp electric, water and sewer. We had a great experience here and I highly recommend this spot.
