Very beautiful, peaceful setting. Directions were spot on and we were able to get our 24 foot motorhome down the narrow, tree-lined road and turn around easily. The Towaliga River setting at Monica's is SWEET. Don't skip this one. Thanks for having us. ;)

Me and my wife went for a weekend getaway. We wanted something secluded and in nature, and this met our expectations and more! Our first night there we got hit by a thunderstorm, but we made the best of it. Even as adults we played in the rain lol. The creek helped us sleep like a baby, and the river made for some good fishing. We plan on coming back multiple times throughout the summer with our kids! We know they will love it as much as me did.

Great spot for those that like to find peace in solitude. Highly recommend finding it in the daytime as Gmaps did not take me to the site but short of it and phone signal stopped working . Look for the Hipcamp sign on the gate. Indian Springs state park and Dollar General are about 3 miles away if you need supplies. Swing is a nice touch. Loved being steps away from the water.

Have stayed a few times now as it’s close to home and always easy to book. Great secluded spot. Very private, no hassle experience. Probably the best/easiest host I’ve ever experienced on this app.
The spot is also beautiful and always clean. Nothing better than falling asleep next to the creek that runs through.

My husband and I LOVED this place so much. We went on an epic camping trip from Maine down to Florida and of all the places we stayed, this was by far our favorite! We plan to stay 2 weeks next year for our anual camping adventure.

My husband, dogs and I camped here for one night on our drive to Florida. It was a very nice and quiet site. It was nice the dogs had room to walk and play. Great spot and we would stay again.

Great spot. Beautiful creek and river. Access to Towliga was as described and kayak put in easy. Take out was manageable despite somewhat steep bank. Great shoals near by both up and downstream to fish.

Fantastic spot! It’s in a very nice location, right down from High Falls State Park. It’s very easy to get to and the camp site is clearly marked. The views were great and we had an amazing time!

Best trip ever! Me and my buddies had an amazing time out there. The area is very secluded and the camp site has a good bit of room. There’s also a nice creek that feeds into a river not too far from the site, the rush water was very peaceful at night

We did a weekend getaway here and were immediately overwhelmed with peace. This site is ideal for quiet reflection, prayer, and rest. There are a couple of houses nearby, but they are not on the campsite property and do not affect the experience. One is briefly visible when you first enter the area, but it disappears once you drive deeper into the woods. The other sits across the creek, about 600 yards up the hill, and is only noticeable if you walk all the way down to where the creek meets the river.
The constant sound of the creek flowing next to camp is incredible. It created a calm, grounding atmosphere during our reflections and helped us sleep deeply each night. There is plenty of open space to walk, explore, and set up multiple tents comfortably.
The drive in was easy, even in the rain, and we had no issues without four wheel drive. Directions were clear. Just continue straight to the gate marked “Hipcamp” when your GPS says you’ve arrived.
If you’re looking for an off the grid style retreat that still offers some cell service and easy access to supplies, this place strikes a beautiful balance between seclusion, peace, and practicality. We left feeling rested, centered, and grateful.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t great. There was an insane amount of trash on the ground and in the fire pit and glass as well. We were worried about letting the dogs out of the car because it was dark so we couldn’t see where there may or may not have been glass. Also I do not recommend a 2WD as we took our Chrysler Pacifica back there and it was a little rough. Ultimately, we didn’t really even get to enjoy the site because of how dirty it was and left very early in the morning. Also, though super minor for us but another added unfortunately aspect was that the swing was broken. Again, very minor but when you add up everything else, overall was not a good experience and we do not recommend.

This host is correct in saying this place is secluded in the woods. I love the woods and the creek nearby. I did not appreciate having no idea if I found the site I reserved. The directions told me to go to site 2. It was starting to get dark, and we drove down a leaf covered path which may have been a dirt road. Got stuck in leafy mud mix just as we realized we drove past the site. The site was not labeled with any signage. We stayed in that site anyway.
The advertised swing was broken in half.

A great spot! The sunrise is incredible to see coming through the trees! Only 25 minutes from Jackson, a cute town where parts of “stranger things” have been filmed. Super open, easily fit our 16 foot yurt, would be more than enough room for another.

We had a wonderful time tent camping here! It was very private and peaceful! Largest camping site we’ve ever had! The swing pictured in the listing was broken when we arrived which was a disappointment for our kiddos but we will definitely be back for more camping trips and maybe it’ll be fixed then! The creek was a wonderful spot to have coffee with the large rocks for sitting!

Beautiful spot overlooking the River. We visited High Falls state park, which was a really beautiful park. Not far to Jackson for Fresh Air BBQ. Overall a very nice site close to some great places to visit.

The site was big, pleasantly tucked away, and I could hear the stream from my hammock. Loved smelling the pine needles as I got out of my car. I did hear some distant coyotes and highway noise, but the white noise of the water blocked most of it. Felt very safe and unbothered despite knowing some other properties were nearby. Will definitely be back!
