Broad River Retreat
Gorgeous relaxing get-a-way
We loved our visit here so much. It has the most beautiful view with plenty of forest to explore and a lot of downed wood to use for your fire. The place was perfect and the host even had the inside fireplace on warming the place before we got there and the heater in the bathroom/shower area as well. We definitely want to come back again!! Just a note for anyone that might need to know there was no signal up on the property, which we loved, but just so you know you can't even text people so make sure you do that before you get up there!! This is definitely a place to tune out and get some well needed quiet time away from all the stresses of life!!! Thank you Jean for opening up your place to us and answering all my questions!!!

Broad River Retreat
The site was amazing. We came in during some rain and clouds and it was still gorgeous. All the essentials were available to make yourself at home. A roof over your head, Heat/AC, a mini fridge, a full bathroom, and a stunning view. And on our last day the clouds gave way to a absolutely stunning sunrise!

So thankful that Jean shares this beautiful piece of heaven! It’s easy to get to, an easy stay with all the amenities and super clean and completely private. We and our dogs enjoyed ourselves very much and appreciated the opportunity to bring our little travel trailer here. Would love to make this a regular visit!

Secluded Getaway w/ Beautiful Views
Loved staying here for the weekend! Jean was very responsive & her campsite was very nice. Lots of room for our group, cars, tent & dogs! Had necessities like a full bathroom with hot water & electrical outlets! The hike to the waterfall was easy, just sort of steep. Regardless, being able to make it down to the river was worth it! Definitely will be staying here again in the future!

This place is so great--I will definitely be staying here again! The land is beautiful and it's so nice to be able to go down to the river! My dog had the best time being able to run around on the property as well.

Beautiful views! Had the basic necessities such as bathroom, water and electricity, which was all we needed to enjoy our stay. Host was quick to respond to all my inquiries.

Broad River Retreat
The first thing that we noticed was how clean and organized that the campsite was. We loved having a level concrete pad to park everything. The bathrooms are not only clean but they are warm due to a heater and thermostat. That was an added bonus. The scenery from the fire pit location is amazing has it overlooks the river valley. The host was super responsive and was easy to get a hold of and was able to get us where we needed to go to find the location. We will definitely use this as a staple of locations we go to.

Quiet, private getaway
I love this camping spot! I wish I could keep it a secret and not share it with others but, I can’t and wouldn’t anyway because others need to enjoy this space. My husband and I spent 2 1/2 days here at Jean’s spot. It is exactly as advertised on line: great location, amazing view, private bathroom, enclosed sleeping area if needed, great fire pit. Just a fantastic, private camp site. Our dogs loved being able to explore the area. There is a path down to the river; a little steep but great exercise. The peaceful sound of the river can’t be beat. Also, the owner, Jean, was very nice and easy to communicate with. Just a great stay.

Broad River Retreat
This spot amazing! It's private, quiet and definitely secluded! I had a wonderful stay! The lawn is so well maintained I didn't have shoes on the entire time, except hiking down to the river. The bunkhouse is a great place to stay. The bathroom was a huge bonus as well. Getting to be squeaky clean while camping... Absolutely!

Broad River Retreat
Broad River Retreat is a gem! With options for those who want the comfort of a real bed and walls between them and the elements or for those who want a beautiful spot to pitch a tent and be as close to the stars as possible - Broad River offers it all. The trail to get down to the river is very east to navigate and the location is perfect (you feel like you are away from it all - secluded and safe). I will definitely be back.

Broad River Retreat
Great retreat on the river!
Our family loves the retreat! We are avid tent campers. It was nice to get away, but still have some home comforts like a shower and toilet. The tiny house allowed for a comfortable nights rest and a cool place to store food.
For those who don’t mind a little climbing (75 degree incline) getting to the river is fun. We were able to carry down coolers and spend the day watching the kayakers and floating our cares away.
Our family will definitely come to visit again!

Peaceful location
We enjoyed camping on Jean’s land. The location was peaceful and the view is beautiful! The cabin is cozy and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is detached from the cabin but it’s close enough to still be convenient. We hope to be able to stay again!

The site was great very beautiful during the day and night , loved listening to the river especially at night . The firepit, the view, And the space (privacy) was the best ! The shed we stayed was very nice just a little FYI though if it gets cold at night the floors get pretty cold which makes it hard to keep it warm but other than that it was comfortable the electric fireplace was a very nice touch ! The mattress on the bottom bunk (full) was so.... comfortable I slept the best I've slept in a while . You have plenty of space for your rv, pop camper and tents . Everything was clean in the bathroom the heater in the bathroom was a huge needed touch . The water heater unit is small so taking a hot shower you have to be quick about it the hot water does Not last long !!! Other than the hot water issue and shed needs padding, carpeting to keep it cozy this place was great! Will be returning to tent camp in the summer !!! I really wished we had had at least a key to the gate to lock it or a key to the shed to lock up our personal things was the only thing I really didn't like it was a little uncomfortable when running to town by the way grocery store is like 30 mins .
