PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout.
Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too!
All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites.
Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15
Please contact us in advance regarding paying for firewood ($7/5 pieces), dogs ($15 each), day vehicle visitors ($30), private farm tour ($15/person) and/or a private porta potty ($120). thank you!

We're about 10-15 minutes' drive away from downtown Asheville and a $12-$15 Uber ride. Unfortunately, public transportation is not very accessible from the campground.

Our campground is not equipped to handle the magical, whirlwind force that children release unto the world. There's a lot of breakable stuff, tempting treehouses (that might be occupied by other guests!), sites that are within earshot of each other, and hazards that aren't a good fit for kids.
WHAT'S NEARBY?
- There are approximately a bajillion breweries in Asheville, many of which are within 5-15 minutes away.
- Downtown Asheville (~10-15 minutes), West Asheville (~5-10 minutes) and the River Arts District (~5 minutes)
-Hiking! Waterfalls, mountain-top views, fog-drenched valleys, rambling rivers... There are some trails about 20 minutes away, but to get to the good stuff, you'll drive 40-90+ minutes.

We are the coolest little campground in WNC. 3feather Sanctuary is tucked away in the amazing countryside of the Appalachian mountains, surrounded by beautiful, stately trees and a creek meanders through the property. This is the perfect peaceful getaway near great outdoor activities and some of the best that North Carolina has to offer!
3Feather Sanctuary is surrounded by beautiful, stately trees and has a creek meandering through it. The closest town is Hot Springs, which is 20 minutes away and the Hot Springs are a definite must-see if that peaks your interest! The town itself is also pretty cool. There are some good shops, restaurants & our favorite hardware store!! Downtown Marshall is also close, about 25 minutes and has a lot to offer! Gr8 restaurants, thrifting and cute shops along the river.
Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you!
Full disclosure:
We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. We have regular yard maintenance, however, we are Country natural landscape, not parking lot type campground, so the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience!

Our Trailhead is located 45 minutes west of Asheville, NC and our hike-in trail is 2 miles long with 1,250 feet of elevation gain. The hike-in trail utilizes an old forest service road which follows a creek providing verdant landscapes and soothing sounds as you make your way up the mountain to our cabins and campsites.
We have two antique Appalachian cabins on-site and two campsites available. Our cabins and campsites are priced per person and can be reserved individually or collectively through an entire property buyout. A hearty and healthy breakfast is served each morning in our Main Lodge and is included and you'll never pay a cleaning fee on this mountain because we believe in Southern hospitality!
Our Main Lodge (Cabin #1) has a huge front porch with spectacular views, a nicely appointed off-grid kitchen, full bathroom with hot shower and an upstairs loft that sleeps up to 10. Our on-site host/s stay downstairs in the Main Lodge in private bedrooms so they can keep the home fires burning, tend the garden, cook breakfasts, clean the cabins and ensure all your needs are taken care of during your stay.
Guests in our Upper Cabin (Cabin #2) enjoy a wooded and secluded setting in a rustic cabin that sleeps up to 6. The downstairs area features an open floorpan with a queen size bed, off-grid kitchen, dining area and the loft upstairs sleeps up to 4 people. Cabin #2 also features a full bathroom with and a tree-house like view from the front porch!
Our cabin adjacent camp space features two spectacular campsites and is located 100’ from our Main Lodge. Camp 1 and Camp 2 both measure 12’x15’ and feature a soft grassy surface surrounded by natural boulder walls. Both campsites sit beside our neighboring property owned by the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and feature a long-range mountain views. Guests at our campsites are welcomed to breakfast daily and have full access to the restroom facilities in the Main Lodge.

This campground has a pond for fishing and swimming, a creek running along the campsites and is surrounded by the most magnificent and beautiful foliage and wildlife! Prepare to have the most peaceful sleep under the glorious celestial stars of Western North Carolina!
*We also have a sink for dishes alongside the shower house as well as a drinkable well water spicket in the back of the campground!

*We recommend checking in before 10 pm…. The property gets really dark and hard to navigate at night without being shown where to go! If for any reason you will be getting here later please inform us upon booking so we can plan for your arrival!
*During the months from November to April we cannot guarantee our shower will be operational due to freezing temperatures. However, during warm periods during those months we do have our shower available.

Such a great spot for a weekend getaway. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The spot was perfectly situated right on the river, which was great for floating and kayaking. They provided chairs, tables, campfire ring, grill, tubes, life vests, stocked trout pond, and two kayaks! Couldn’t ask for a better spot. Already planning a trip in the fall!

Lovely little stream-side camp spot! The woods are beautiful, the hosts were kind and gracious and the sourdough was delicious! Certainly lives up to the description. Having access to a bathroom and running water, plus a tent platform help make this a great low-effort camping trip.

Absolutely amazing stay! We felt close enough to people that we werent alone, and yet far enough away that we had our own privacy. Beautiful campsite, level pad to set up our tent on, a brook that babbled all night, and possibly the best bread in existance (Better than my SILs, and Ill say it to her face). I have a new Max Patch camping ground!!!

This was my first solo camping experience. Jess responded immediately when I had questions pre-booking, and let me know that she was available for any concerns. I loved being the only camper there, and spent the days hiking a variety of trails on and off the BRP. It was quiet, serene, a beautiful place to enjoy the solitude. Half bath was appreciated. I will definitely be back - it will be spectacular in the fall.

We loved the whole experience of going to Honeysuckle! The whole campground is beautiful. The sites are a nice size and spaced apart nicely so everyone can have their privacy. The viewpoints of the smokies was incredible on the hikes that are just on the property. We loved the stay in the RV and will definitely look into the cabin for next time with our family.

I loved camping beside the rapids and watching wild turkeys and herons get up to their wild antics. Across the road is a large, idealic hill with horses on top and donkeys I fed apples and carrots to. The Mangalitsa pigs are HUGE and several mamas had cute little sows. I came away renewed and refreshed and I will return, hopefully in the fall. I am a solo female camper and can’t imagine a more safe campsite! Thanks, Catherine and Rick, for the wonderful experience. I’ll plan to stay longer next time and enjoy some of your foodstuff and a farm tour.

It’s such a cute little campground!! The safari tents were so nice. There was a cooler full of water waiting for us when we arrived. The space was perfect for what we needed for the night. I fortunately it was raining so we didn’t spend much time on the porch. I would love to come back though.

Weekend Trip to Destination Outdoors! DO IT!
What a beautiful oasis the Holly Hideaway was, my goodness. Fresh crisp potable water, a clean bathhouse with anything you’d need, being surrounded by trees when reading on the balcony, all things that stuck out to me. The land is so vast and peaceful. Matt is beyond attentive and helpful as a host. Coming back to the site after a long day of hiking and swimming in nearby waterfalls was so refreshing. Not to mention hearing the rain at night on the rooftop. I would 10/10 recommend this property and plan to return!

A beautiful place to camp! It is very peaceful and clean, and the porta-potty was very convenient for our large group. We were originally going to camp at site 7, but the host contacted me to ask if it was fine to move our group to site 5, which is their best site, because site 7 was muddy. It was at no extra cost, and it was wonderful—I really appreciate that. We will definitely come back
