Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too!
All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites.
Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15

We're about 10-15 minutes' drive away from downtown Asheville and a $12-$15 Uber ride. Unfortunately, public transportation is not very accessible from the campground.
*FAQ: Is this a good spot to bring my kiddos?
Our campground is not equipped to handle the magical, whirlwind force that children release unto the world. There's a lot of breakable stuff, tempting treehouses (that might be occupied by other guests!), sites that are within earshot of each other, and hazards that aren't a good fit for kids.
WHAT'S NEARBY?
- There are approximately a bajillion breweries in Asheville, many of which are within 5-15 minutes away.
- Downtown Asheville (~10-15 minutes), West Asheville (~5-10 minutes) and the River Arts District (~5 minutes)
-Hiking! Waterfalls, mountain-top views, fog-drenched valleys, rambling rivers... There are some trails about 20 minutes away, but to get to the good stuff, you'll drive 40-90+ minutes.

We offer guests an off-grid and authentic Appalachian experience at our hike-in cabins and campsites located on 500 private acres atop the Newfound Mountains in Western North Carolina!
Our Trailhead is located 45 minutes west of Asheville, NC and our hike-in trail is 2 miles long with 1,250 feet of elevation gain. The hike-in trail utilizes an old forest service road which follows a creek providing verdant landscapes and soothing sounds as you make your way up the mountain to our cabins and campsites.
We have two antique Appalachian cabins on-site and two campsites available. Our cabins and campsites are priced per person and can be reserved individually or collectively through an entire property buyout. A hearty and healthy breakfast is served each morning in our Main Lodge and is included and you'll never pay a cleaning fee on this mountain because we believe in Southern hospitality!
Our Main Lodge (Cabin #1) has a huge front porch with spectacular views, a nicely appointed off-grid kitchen, full bathroom with hot shower and an upstairs loft that sleeps up to 10. Our on-site host/s stay downstairs in the Main Lodge in private bedrooms so they can keep the home fires burning, tend the garden, cook breakfasts, clean the cabins and ensure all your needs are taken care of during your stay.
Guests in our Upper Cabin (Cabin #2) enjoy a wooded and secluded setting in a rustic cabin that sleeps up to 6. The downstairs area features an open floorpan with a queen size bed, off-grid kitchen, dining area and the loft upstairs sleeps up to 4 people. Cabin #2 also features a full bathroom with and a tree-house like view from the front porch!
Our cabin adjacent camp space features two spectacular campsites and is located 100’ from our Main Lodge. Camp 1 and Camp 2 both measure 12’x15’ and feature a soft grassy surface surrounded by natural boulder walls. Both campsites sit beside our neighboring property owned by the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and feature a long-range mountain views. Guests at our campsites are welcomed to breakfast daily and have full access to the restroom facilities in the Main Lodge.

1. 100 % Refund less credit card processing fee if you cancel before 14 days of your arrival date. 50% Refund if you cancel between 14 and 7 days of your arrival date. No Refund if you cancel within 6 days of your arrival date.

3. QUIET TIME. 10 PM - 8 AM
4. CHECK OUT PROCEDURES. Camp must be broken down by 11 AM on departure day. If you stay past time you could be charged for an additional day. Extension possible with pre-approval.
5. All Overnight Guests Must Pay
6. Trash must be taken to the Green Bins located at the lower corner of the upper field
7. No washing vehicles
8. PETS must be kept on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pets and do NOT leave them in the campground unattended.

Our land is totally pesticide-free and full of life — from colorful flower gardens to veggies, herbs, fruit trees, and our famous 14 free-range chickens (a.k.a. The Dixie Chicks). Guests love feeding them, petting them, and collecting fresh eggs.

The Sites are situated far enough from each other to allow for privacy. Our land was originally where the Cherokee grew their medicine with Mt. Pisgah looking over us.
Please be aware we are not completely cleared up after Hurricane Helene so we are limiting cars to 2 per site. There is parking about a mile away, or we can fit a 2 cars per site . If this is an issue please contact me to discuss. Also note we look a little different. The campsites are fine but the creek has changed its banks and the driving path moved a little. Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds.
Drones are only allowed on our property and only in daylight hours and must be discussed with us prior.
Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans.
Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle.
This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing.
The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

(It is on the left immediately before the parking area under the poplar tree). There is also plenty of room in the parking area to accommodate these as well. Only 4WD vehicles may drive in the grass to any spot of their choosing. When choosing a spot DO NOT go past the porta-john or playground area. Please be respectful of other guests and their use of these amenities when you set up your site. None of the sites have electricity or water. There is an electric outlet by the badminton net and a water spigot just on the border of the property (just past and to the left of the porta-john).
Take a moment to enjoy a walk or bike ride by the creek and play a game of badminton, volleyball, tetherball, or let your imagination soar stop the small climbing structure.

It is close to great outdoor adventures in the Great Smokies. The land is filled with stars, fireflies, and nature (even the occasional deer). Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Raven ridge is a 5.0 acre property with plenty of botanical appeal, Appalachian charm and mountain views. James landed on the property in 2009, built a small dairy barn and milked 3 cows for a couple years before building the two cabins. In 2015 he was joined by Sofi, originally from Sweden and together they have three daughters.
Together they manage a botanically interesting hill farm and are happy to host travelers and seekers in their cabins. Hilltop was a joint project that James built in 2012 with a talented woodworker and friend in 6 months. We have maintained the original vibe of the place, rustic simplicity and elegance a notch or two above glamping, well-described by the zen koan, "chop wood, carry water"
Orchard House was built entirely by James from the cement blocks to the roof. It’s very creative and cozy, besides spacious for a tiny home. People describe it as “dreamy”, also “perfect”.
Some of the Hilltop photos are a bit dated, we have a more private outhouse behind the cabin, and have made a few improvements here and there. Reach out anytime for any reason. We love hosting and nearly everyone enjoys their stay.

Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall!
This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends!
We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee
If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November.
There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund.
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm.
No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
No fireworks.
No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible)
Do not cut down trees alive or dead
If you move picnic tables please move them back
Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit.
There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down.
The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024.

We loved the whole experience of going to Honeysuckle! The whole campground is beautiful. The sites are a nice size and spaced apart nicely so everyone can have their privacy. The viewpoints of the smokies was incredible on the hikes that are just on the property. We loved the stay in the RV and will definitely look into the cabin for next time with our family.

What a beautiful oasis the Holly Hideaway was, my goodness. Fresh crisp potable water, a clean bathhouse with anything you’d need, being surrounded by trees when reading on the balcony, all things that stuck out to me. The land is so vast and peaceful. Matt is beyond attentive and helpful as a host. Coming back to the site after a long day of hiking and swimming in nearby waterfalls was so refreshing. Not to mention hearing the rain at night on the rooftop. I would 10/10 recommend this property and plan to return!

Great camping area! Nice clean spot and down a scenic windy road through the rural mountains. I do wish I knew how close our site was to the road and street light, but it wasn't a big deal! It was a great experience and we had a nice campfire before bed. I will say some people either hogged the bathrooms/showers or somehow the doors locked themselves for a long while, but that is not the hosts' fault. Just a note to other campers to be more respectful of shared spaces. (Sorry for the late review- have been quite busy!)

An amazing stay on a beautiful property. We stayed at in the Turtle Creek Pop Up camper and could not have been happier. John and his family have created something special here and their customer service is above and beyond with check-ins to see how things are going to expert knowledge of the area. Wifi was fast on the hill where we were located. The bathhouse is very nice with hot showers and it is not a typical bathhouse, you have complete privacy. There's a lot to love at Honeysuckle Springs!

This was the most spectacular, relaxing experience by far. The 4wd challenges far out weighed the spot and the view. While everyone in the low country was experiencing mid 80s. It was a nice 74 during the days and 60s at night. This place is magical, and the host is more than accommodating, with local updates, and always available if you have any questions or concerns. We will definitely be coming back.

This site is amazing!! Creekside is abolutely perfect, even if we didn't know about the waterfall. The sound of the creek is perfect, water is beautiful, and Richard has done a fabulous job creating this site. It's large, flat, multiple gravel areas, 2 picnic tables....private but not isolated. The bathouse is amazing! A flush toilet and shower all to yourself!! It's the best campsite I've ever been at. Richard was very responsive and helpful. I was a little concerned about safety, with just two campsites and you never know who else might be there, but it was a family and a retired couple, and I have confidence that if there were any problems with other campers Richard would handle it. It was completely wonderful!

Catherine and Rick have created such a special place to camp! Every time we visit, the campsites are spotless, and even the porta potties are always incredibly clean, which says a lot about how much they care about their guests.
They are some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts you’ll meet, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The farm itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views, a beautiful river that’s perfect for relaxing, and wonderful animals to see throughout the property.
