Well worth the trip

This is my third booking. Phil has such a delightful place! The campsites are clean and comfortable, the shower is the perfect temperature, and the access to power is nice. The host and crew are always helpful. Each site has direct access to the creek and are spaced out to afford a semi private experience. There are amazing wildflowers and an abundance of life in the creek. The old tobacco barns add to the experience simply by existing. This is a great location to decompress and re-balance. As a solo woman camper, I have felt safe each visit. My dog loves it here as well!

This is a beautiful property. The tent sites are next to the creek and we loved falling asleep to the sound of rushing water. The location is close to Max Patch, making it very convenient. Be aware that camp site 4 is behind the barn and portable toilet. You will have it in your line of sight and can see everyone coming and going to use the bathroom.

The absolute best experience!

This was my second booking at this property. I absolutely love it! So much that I have already booked a third time. Phil and Co. were wonderful hosts. The shower, kitchen area, and porta potty were all clean and functional. Hot water on demand is a perfect set-up. I took advantage of the mini fridge when I ran out of ice and didn't have to drive to town in order to purchase more. Dry, split firewood on-site was also a nice bonus. My dog and I took advantage of the creek daily. Much to my delight, I found no broken glass anywhere in the creek. There is an abundance of wildflowers, edible and medicinal plants, and a nice variety of wildlife. I even saw a couple of turkey hens and at least a dozen chicks pass by my site and fly over the creek. When the lights go off at night, the space is filled with synchronistic lightening bugs, aka "fireflies." Some of the more rare and elusive blue ones made an appearance as well. This was also a great area to work on reactivity training with my rescue dog. The open field provided a wonderful space for walks and practicing emotional regulation. She even got to play with another dog. There are chickens next to this site and she decided they were hers to protect and enjoyed watching them. Above all, I felt safe here. As a solo woman camper, this was extremely important, and one of the main reasons for multiple bookings. Not once did I feel like I needed to "cover up" for my own safety. The energy here is so gentle and healing.

An absolute gem!

I loved camping here! It was an impromptu trip, literally booked the night before. I'm so glad I did! It's such a cozy little gem. The communal bathroom/kitchen area is clean and a welcomed comfort. Sitting creekside has been the relaxing getaway I needed. Most importantly, I felt completely safe here. As a solo woman camper, this was an absolute blessing. Phil truly has something special going on here

We had a delightful stay at Creekside! Loved our site right beside the creek (all three are), and though we were the only tenters this cool, damp weekend, even if the other two sites were occupied there’s nice space between. Nice big stone fire rings and a permanent grill grate beside the picnic table. Porta-pot was clean and stocked. About 22 minute drive from Hot Springs. Will choose Creekside again whenever we’re nearby!

We loved camping on Philip’s land! The creek was so lovely and flowing creating a lot of peaceful white noise. Our dogs enjoyed running in the field. We definitely hope to return!

Had a wonderful stay at creek side. Camp site was very well kept and clean. Guests were quiet and respectful. And the nature was very beautiful. There’s a road across the campsite that gets some cars every now and then, if that is not something that bothers you than this is a great site to be. Not too remote from the town area , and there’s great trails not too far a drive from the site. Phillip responds quickly and was very accommodating.

Great spot for campers who like to see a few other campers around the campsite. It was nestled up a winding road which made for a fun drive up! Stars were absolutely beautiful at night.

Loved listening to the Creekside and enjoyed our firepit right next to it. The chickens and lighting were an added bonus. Philip was communicative and we got to meet Ray while he fed the chickens and enjoyed swapping stories with him. Thank you both~ lovely spot!

This is my second time camping at this place. The ride There is absolutely perfect campground has been 100% upket and beautiful both times wonderful campfire Creekside. Listening to the water run, I will be going back. Plenty more times

This location was really pretty. We had a lot of fun exploring the creek with our dogs and had a little bit of success fishing in the creek. The sites are not super private but you do have access to a shower, water, and a porta-potty which was convenient.

Awesome camping spot on a Beautiful old tobacco farm. Usually like to use my own tent but this one was the only available one for last minute trip! The tent was very big and had power ran to it which was a plus! We had a great time and will definitely be back! Short drive to Max Patch so.we woke up and took the hike to the top! Thanks for sharing your property (Lil piece of Heaven) with us!

We loved camping here! Super secluded and perfect for our family and dogs to hang out in the mountains. Falling asleep listening to the creek was amazing. And, the nearby town of Hot Springs is recovering amazingly from Helene!

This was the third time my family has stayed here and we will keep coming back! The creek and the field, rocks, etc are perfect for our kids ages 4-10. We’ve had our pets off leash and they’re in heaven. This spot is private, especially if you reserve site 1 & 2. Perfect location!

We had such a great time camping right next to the river on Phillip’s slice of paradise. He has provided several amenities (shower, port-o-let, sink, mini fridge) that made the whole experience a bit more comfortable. We loved getting to walk around the property, too, checking out the different plants and seeing the many different views of the river. It was the perfect spot to unplug for a few days and we cannot wait to be back !

Kindred Spirits!

Hipcamp allows access to more than a tent site. It's owners of land sharing their dreams with total strangers. Such was the case with this booking until the minute I pulled up on my BMW GSA and met Phil, the owner. Kind, gracious, giving, and more of a kindred spirit than stranger. The site was epic, for two days renewed my spirit and walked around bare footed to be grounded with Mother earth. Nice hot outdoor shower! Check out his cottage and cabin as I will in my next trip. One of the best Hipcamp experiences I've ever had. Great guy, great site!
