The entire property is oriented toward private farmland views, a half mile of river and surrounding mountains. It's really quite remarkable to be so accessible yet feel so remote! Come swim, fish, cook and play! PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout. Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. If you have questions about this PLEASE message me prior to booking. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too! All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites. Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15 Please contact us in advance regarding paying for firewood ($7/5 pieces), dogs ($15 each), day vehicle visitors ($30), private farm tour ($15/person) and/or a private porta potty ($120). thank you! Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am. Checking in before 5 pm is requested. Later times may be available with prior arrangements. Our farm is very dark and navigating at night is difficult. Contact Catherine directly so you can be checked in safely and accommodate your schedule. LIMITED CHECK-INS AFTER DARK. We are 1 mile off of I 40, 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 min. to Maggie Valley, 10 min to the Elk at Cataloochee, 25 min to Cataloochee ski area, 10 min to Lake Junaluska and 15 min to downtown Waynesville. Asheville is 20 miles to our East.

During the summer months watch our vegetables grow and the pickers pick! The winter months you'll enjoy a sea of green as our cover crop takes over the field. You can cool off in the river or check out the surrounding Pisgah National Forest. Dogs on leashes are welcome and owner is responsible for cleaning up after pet. The farm provides a portable toilet but no other amenities. Campfires may be restricted, so check local regulations. This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is NOT allowed on the river unless you have booked a trip with one of our guides. Please note, if it’s rainy the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option. Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Sites are situated far enough from each other to allow for privacy. Our land was originally where the Cherokee grew their medicine with Mt. Pisgah looking over us. Please be aware we are not completely cleared up after Hurricane Helene so we are limiting cars to 2 per site. There is parking about a mile away, or we can fit a 2 cars per site . If this is an issue please contact me to discuss. Also note we look a little different. The campsites are fine but the creek has changed its banks and the driving path moved a little. Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds. Drones are only allowed on our property and only in daylight hours and must be discussed with us prior. Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans. Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle. This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing. The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

We offer guests an off-grid and authentic Appalachian experience at our hike-in cabins and campsites located on 500 private acres atop the Newfound Mountains in Western North Carolina! Our Trailhead is located 45 minutes west of Asheville, NC and our hike-in trail is 2 miles long with 1,250 feet of elevation gain. The hike-in trail utilizes an old forest service road which follows a creek providing verdant landscapes and soothing sounds as you make your way up the mountain to our cabins and campsites. We have two antique Appalachian cabins on-site and two campsites available. Our cabins and campsites are priced per person and can be reserved individually or collectively through an entire property buyout. A hearty and healthy breakfast is served each morning in our Main Lodge and is included and you'll never pay a cleaning fee on this mountain because we believe in Southern hospitality! Our Main Lodge (Cabin #1) has a huge front porch with spectacular views, a nicely appointed off-grid kitchen, full bathroom with hot shower and an upstairs loft that sleeps up to 10. Our on-site host/s stay downstairs in the Main Lodge in private bedrooms so they can keep the home fires burning, tend the garden, cook breakfasts, clean the cabins and ensure all your needs are taken care of during your stay. Guests in our Upper Cabin (Cabin #2) enjoy a wooded and secluded setting in a rustic cabin that sleeps up to 6. The downstairs area features an open floorpan with a queen size bed, off-grid kitchen, dining area and the loft upstairs sleeps up to 4 people. Cabin #2 also features a full bathroom with and a tree-house like view from the front porch! Our cabin adjacent camp space features two spectacular campsites and is located 100’ from our Main Lodge. Camp 1 and Camp 2 both measure 12’x15’ and feature a soft grassy surface surrounded by natural boulder walls. Both campsites sit beside our neighboring property owned by the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and feature a long-range mountain views. Guests at our campsites are welcomed to breakfast daily and have full access to the restroom facilities in the Main Lodge.

The Confluence campsite is situated on 21 acres between the north and south forks of Mills River. This serene campsite borders native trout water and an an additional 45 private acres that have been passed down in the Brittain family since the 1790s. The upper and lower meadow provides canoe, kayak and fishing access to South Mills River. Four-wheel drive is needed during rainy weather. (Please respect the privacy of neighboring property across the river.) This very private campground is a five minute drive from Pisgah National Forest and 10 minutes from the Asheville Airport and the Sierra Nevada Brewing company. Four-wheel-drive is required for rainy weather.

This sweet 4 acre property lies on a gorgous s-turn of Reems Creek, 1 mile from downtown Weaverville. There is a porta-potty provided, a hose attached to our house, and a hot water outdoor shower that campers are welcome to. We have 3 large, friendly dogs who you will definitely meet. So, dog lovers only. Reems creek is known for its great trout fishing so bring a fishing license and your poles! The water is pristine and great for swimming as well. Fire ring, chairs and table, corn hole, disc golf, charcoal grill, and hammocks provided. We also have a honeybee apiary on the other side of the 4 acres from the campsites. Check out our beehive therapy experience available at MzzBeeHavenApiary.com, where you safely lay atop active beehives to inhale the healing hive air and feel the micro massaging vibrations of 10 thousands of honeybees wings. It’s a magical therapeutic experience! If there are no open availabilities in the online calendar when you are here, just let us know you’re interested and we will find a time for you to have a session. We run a landscaping and tree company so you may hear us gearing up and pulling out on the weekday mornings.

Off the beaten path. The campground is perfect for someone who likes true camping. There is a little road noise, but there is also noise from the big rushing creek. The trails are well maintained. The sites are spacious and well layed out. Great river rock walls and steps. A lot of work went into creating this campground. The bathhouse is clean. The creek/river, the hiking trail, the overlook is fantastic. A portion of the campground is closed due to budget cuts, but the beauty of this small campground is well worth the trip. I want everyone to give this campground a chance because it could close completely. The host Art is a kind man who really cares about the future of this campground. He makesthisplacespecial

We stayed here as a last minute thing and we're very pleasantly surprised! The rate is more than reasonable for what it is. The sites aren't right on top of each other, the stonework dividing them is in good shape, the bathrooms were reasonably bug free and everything worked, the area was marvelously clean! The on site hike was stunning as well. And lastly, I'd highly recommend the diner down the road for breakfast. Great experience, will hopefully be back!

We just spent Memorial Day weekend at Rocky Bluff Campground. We had a group of 22 people and the camp host was wonderful in helping us to get together, even lending his outdoor carpet for a muddy site so everyone could be together! It's a wonderful place for children to ride their bikes, play in beautiful spring creek, and hike the spring creek trail. We also visited the stunning Max Patch while we were there and enjoyed nearby Hot Springs Spa and the Paint Creek Recreational area. With so much to do both within and near the campground, it's a favorite for us handsdown! The campground has a park like feel, beautiful stone work, and a quiet charm you can't find most places. I highly recommend it!
