Hideaway

Really clear communication on how to get to the spot. Great spot, we stayed at The Hideaway and we were able to get there in our 35 ft RV. It was beautiful quiet and private . Right on a river too which was pretty cool.

Peaceful River Camping & a Free Fox

We had a fantastic stay! The campsite was clean, quiet, and well cared for. The host was incredibly friendly, and when we purchased firewood, it was delivered right to our site before we arrived, which was a great touch. We rented both the canoe and kayak and had an amazing time on the river. The swimming was perfect, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax and disconnect. The river access is a little steep, so if you're not part mountain goat, bring a rope to tie off to a tree for a little extra assistance getting in and out. Also worth mentioning: this was hands-down the cleanest outhouse I've ever used. The only thing I'd suggest is a small solar light inside. With the door closed, it's pitch black even during the day, so definitely bring a flashlight if nature calls. The only interruption to the peaceful quiet was what we think was a red fox that unleashed an absolutely terrifying scream in the middle of the night. We went from deep sleep to wondering if we were starring in a horror movie in about two seconds! 😆 It definitely got our hearts pumping. Overall, a beautiful, peaceful riverside campsite with a wonderful host, great paddling, refreshing swimming, and a memorable wildlife experience thrown in for free. We'd absolutely stay again!

We really enjoyed our time on John's property. The views were beautiful, river was great, and John was incredibly friendly and helpful. Nice and peaceful retreat for camping. Property was very clean. Meet some great people while there. We will definitely be back soon!

Sweet spot!

It was the perfect little getaway for me and my new class b camper van. The camping space was beautiful, level, secluded and right on the river. The river was the perfect temperature to swim and cool off. I loved that there were boats, lifejackets and an outhouse nearby. There were a couple of other vacant campsites there. They regraded the road and took good care of the property. I felt safe there being a female solo traveler. Would definitely stay again!👍🏼

Perfect for Primative Tent Camping

The Serenity on the Saluda primitive camping is perfect for camping right on the river bank of the Saluda River. The outhouse and the shower makes for the perfect experience for camping more than just a night or two. I was there a week and even worked during my week. I tent camped at the Rivers Edge which was wonderful right on the river but next time I will camp at the River Bank because it has a perfect tree shaded spot for a tent and it too is right on the river. Felt very private but the owner house is right on site so also felt very safe. Loved my stay!!

Amazing spot!

This is my second time staying there and it was amazing as usual. Very secluded, the river is so nice to go kayaking or tubing, the spot itself is clean and spacious. Potable water is a bit of a walk, but I'm glad they have it-- same with the outhouse. I'd love to stay again in the fall!

My family of five had a wonderful time tent camping! The site is great. The host was very responsive and answered all of my questions. Very spacious and pretty private. The water spigot was about 100 yards (my husband's estimate). The water is not accessible from the spot we were in, but it's a very short walk to the boat ramp. My sons loved kayaking, fishing and exploring and my daughter loved swimming. It was a great trip!

A great alternative to shelter

I'm new to the area and have been trying to get into a shelter but everywhere I've called has no beds available. I'm in outdoor enthusiast so I've always enjoyed camping however State park camp sites can run from $40 a night and up. This app provides places for me as low as $16 a night. The host I've met so far have been happy to see us booking the site. This app is a life saver for me. The camp sites have charm, thought and love to them. I really appreciate this app and the people who are involved. Thank you 🧡✨

Outstanding campsite on the saluda river. My brother and I spent 2 nights here and enjoyed fishing and camping all day. Kayaking up and down the Saluda was rewarding and there was a really nice beach spot to fish. Caught multiple stripper, large mouth and flathead. Host was really nice and provided plenty of firewood for the site. Didn't get around to using the shower but its there. Also has a nice outhouse that doesnt stink at all. 100% would recommend

Pretty and Peaceful.

I stayed for one night on River's Edge site 2. The site is right on the river. It is beautiful and quiet. The outhouse was clean and well maintained, and not too far from the site. As a solo camper I also think about security, but it felt safe there. It was nice to fall asleep to the sound of the water running over the rocks.

Very nice

We came in late at night and camped at a field near the hill top. We saw it in the morning and the owner let us know but it’s okay to stay where we are. We also thought we booked an extra night. It didn’t come through. He was relaxed about it and we booked immediately the extra night. It is a very calm beautiful spot. Nice campfire spot in the woods and at night we heard some wildlife.
