Cold Spring Basecamp is the perfect spot to launch your adventure. Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Whether camping, glamping or high in a treehouse (coming soon), Cold Spring Basecamp is the jumping off point for biking, hiking, paddling, zip lining, waterfalls or just enjoy our beautiful 38 acre property with mountain bike trails, hiking trails, beautiful creeks, waterfalls and endless relaxation potential. Three rustic and historic cabins recently rehabbed, but keeping all the old charm. One open wall lets in lots of light and the old wood accents the walls, kitchen, eating area, and bunk beds (with queen on the bottom and twin up top). Cook over the stone fire pit or on cast iron pots and pan on the propane stove. Full equipped kitchen for all your needs, including French press, and tea pot. Relax under the solar lights and charge your devices using our solar powered charging station. Campsites are all nestled in the woods and next to the creek and are all spacious and private. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring with grill for cooking over the fire. Additionally a water filter is provided for purifying drinking water from the creek. Launch your adventure from Cold Spring or stay on the property to enjoy the mountain bike trails, hike to the waterfall and cliffs or relax in the meadow. Minutes to the world class trails of Ride Rock Creek Bike Park and beautiful Lake Summit, just down the road from Ride Kanuga Bike Park and the world famous Green River, with class I-V rapids. We are at the back door of 86 miles of trails and dozens of famous waterfalls in Dupont State Forest. The steep, fast and fun Gorge Zipline is located in the quaint town of Saluda, along with shops and great restaurants. The shops and restaurants of Flat Rock and just up the hill and a bit further is the thriving town on Hendersonville, apple country and many of the areas wineries.

Teela Springs
Teela Springs Cabin
We LOVED our stay at Teela Springs. Everything about it was amazing, down to the kitchenware and cleanliness of the cabin. The only thing missing was a hot pad for cooking with the cast iron cookware. The one downside was that the directions on the website took us to a completely different location on a very sketchy side of the mountain where we almost got stuck going up a gravel road, and were afraid the response to our trespassing while we turned around. It was very scary. So, double check that your address will get you to the right location! Other than that, we will definitely go again, and bring friends. Since there are three cabins close together, it will be a great experience with a large group!

Bill's Cabin Wood Stove
Disconnect and chill
We really enjoyed Bill's Cabin and would absolutely visit again. Our family of 5 had some moments of hilarity and made some great memories. Highly recommend.

Corn Crib
Zero Privacy in the Corn Crib!
The owners of the property were very nice. Unfortunately, the Corn Crib was awful. The open air concept is great, except when the open side of the "cabin" faces a gravel path that sees a lot of traffic from all the other campers. Everything that I did inside the "cabin" was 100% visible to everyone else at all times. Thankfully I had a small pop up structure that I had brought with me or otherwise I literally would not have been able to get dressed unless I hid in my car. I can not emphasize enough the complete lack of privacy. Thankfully I was there alone but had I been with my partner for a romantic getaway I would have been very upset. It is my understanding that the other structures have privacy shades that you can pull down at night or when you want to get dressed but again every inch of the Corn Crib is visible to other people. I strongly recommend that the owners install some sort of screen or privacy wall. In addition, the owners should provide a map of the property. It is a very small property (which also isn't great - I could hear everything from the other people staying there), but it is difficult to tell which paths are public and which lead to campsites. It was also unclear if there were hiking trails available. A map would have been greatly appreciated. If you are going to stay on this property I would highly recommend choosing anything but the Corn Crib. I want to add that I did contact the owner and ask for another cabin but none were available.

Teela Springs
Perfect cabin close to nature
Highly recommend staying at Teela Springs. We all enjoyed getting a taste of nature for the weekend. The cabin was surprisingly clean and neat. A few spiders we had to knock down but expected. There was a small mini stream beside the campfire, where my 5 year old spent most of his time. The solar lights didn’t charge enough throughout the day so they stayed on for about two hours, the fire gave us lights along with some lights they provided. Bring mosquito candles cause they saved us. Beautiful cabin, book the trip! ** do not google/Apple Maps Cold Spring Campground, it will take you down a extremely sketchy road, FOLLOW THIER INSTRUCTIONS **
