This is my third time at this location. Absolutely amazing little piece of heaven. I’ll be coming for years to come, and the owners are amazing people. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Lake Camping
Loved our stay over the holiday weekend. Nice and quiet area near the state park. The hosts checked in to welcome us and gave us fresh eggs. Chickens, ducks, quail, peacocks and guinea on the property to enjoy and saw deer three times. Nice cove to kayak and paddleboard around the island. Look forward to coming back soon.

Beautiful Lake Camping
The land was absolutely beautiful. The fishing was fantastic. Ann and Jack had tons of wood for a fire everynight. Ann brought us a dozen of fresh eggs from her chickens. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend staying on their property. You will not regret it.

We had a great little getaway with a beautiful view. Great hosts! They gifted us with a carton of fresh eggs from their chickens. We will visit again!

Such a lovely spot. Lots of room to spread out and wander. Less than 5 minutes to Lake Wateree State Park where you can use their dump station for $5 so no sewer was no problem. Ann and Jack gave me my space but checked to make sure I was OK. They even brought me a carton of eggs from their chickens!

Beautiful Lake Camping
This was an excellent camping spot. Ann and Jack had firewood available and had an outdoor rug out there already for us to use. Other amenities included a fire pit (small closer to the camper area) and also had a large fire pit area closer to the dock down by the water. Ann brought us some fresh eggs for breakfast also. It a nice level spot that is cleared well. We will be back for another visit for sure.

Beautiful Lake Camping
Unbelievable view of Great Blue Heron and Osprey that live on the island right in front of “your” dock. Two fishing kayaks/paddles/PFDs available to use. The campsite is essentially in Ann and Jack’s yard and while I occasionally heard/saw them for the most part it felt pretty private and quiet.

Beautiful Lake Camping
Thank you to Ann and Jack for allowing us to stay on your beautiful property.
The turn to Ann and Jack's spot was a little tight for our 32' Class C, but we made it without issue. We arrived at night which made things a bit trickier than normal. The spot was easy to maneuver into and was clear and level. Ann and Jack provided spot lights which made getting set up at night quick and easy. Wifi is great with no issues connecting or losing service.
The lake was beautiful to wake up to. They are doing work on the dam up the lake so the lake does not extend up to the dock, but it does allow for a little beach area that we used to relax and fish. Kayaks are provided which you can wade out and onto in order to explore the lake which I really enjoyed.
Ann and Jack have a host of birds including quail, chickens, roosters, peacocks, and the friendliest duck I've ever met. My daughter really enjoyed visiting with the animals and learning a bit as well.
The property is about a mile from the Wateree State Park, and I definitely recommend checking it out if you have time. We rode bikes around the park and explored and grabbed a quick lunch at the little food stand.
Overall, we had a great visit. Ann and Jack are very kind and do their best to ensure you have everything you need. We really appreciate the hospitality and hope to be back again.

Beautiful Lake Camping
We absolutely loved our couple of days away from daily life. Perfect trees for naps in the hammocks. Great view of the lake. Ann was amazing and so very sweet. We will Def be going back!

Beautiful Lake Camping
Jack and Ann are wonderful hosts and have a beautiful piece of land that they graciously share with us Hipcampers.
They do a great job communicating prior to arrival and give good directions to enter the property. The entrance is a little narrow but easily traversed if you travel slowly. We tow a 36 foot Grand Design Imagine and made it through no problem.
We had a little trouble getting our very large rig into the camp spot, but Ann and Jack assured us that we could have drove around the property to get tucked into the spot. While that would have been easier, we were able to park our rig with a few tries and we enjoyed our weekend.
Ann and Jack are wonderful and gracious hosts. They showed us around the property and made sure that we had everything (and more) we needed.
They have everything you could need. Kayaks, life vests, fishing poles and gear, two fire pits, fire wood, badminton net and gear, corn hole boards, picnic table with cloth table cloth, outdoor camp rug, potable water, and 50 amp electric service. Oh, and use of their guest WiFi! The property is clean, quiet, and private.
We had a great time at Beautiful Lake Camping Hipcamp and look forward to visiting Jack and Ann again in the future.

This was our third trip to Ann and Jack’s place on Lake Wateree, and it never disappoints!
The lake has been drawn down while the dam is being worked on, so we could walk to the island this time. The lower water level has also exposed a sandy beach area where they have installed a badmitton net.
We enjoyed feeding the chickens and peacock peanut treats in their pristine coop (new additions since our last trip). The roosters do crow, but we couldn’t hear them inside our travel trailer, and it wasn’t at all disruptive. We have chickens ourselves and theirs are much quieter than ours!
If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge, it doesn’t get better than this! Ann and Jack are fantastic hosts, and we enjoyed talking to them and learning more about the area.

Beautiful Lake Camping
Ann & Jack we’re very welcoming onto their gorgeous property. Everything was as described, the lake and island was very beautiful. Very quiet, secluded and peaceful spot. Lots of wildlife and birds all around. I enjoyed just sitting looking out over the water and listening to birds. My son enjoyed playing in the water. 10/10 gorgeous place.

Beautiful Lake Camping
We love it here so much, this was our second time in less than a month. The peaceful cove, the perfect and HUGE campsite, with all the privacy you could want. We love watching the wildlife, and spending time on the water in the provided kayaks. Ann and Jack have thought of everything you need to enjoy your stay on the lake.

The perfect getaway

Beautiful Lake Camping
Wow - this was one of the best places we have camped. Ann and Jack’s lovely piece of Paradise has all you could want for relaxing and fun on the lake.
We come fully prepared, as we camp at mostly state parks, Hipcamp sites, and Airbnb campsites. But if you don’t want to take it all with you, Ann and Jack have you covered. From the huge fire pit with more wood than you can burn, the great picnic table and small fire pit at the camper site, to the private dock with anti gravity chairs, a table with 4 chairs and an umbrella, fishing poles (just bring your bait), and a paddle board and two kayaks with PFD’s, they have you set for fun and relaxation. The site is HIGE - our grandson brought his bike and loved riding it around the property. There is a lot of shade from the pine trees, and a lovely swinging bench at the garden area.
Ann and Jack have thoughtfully provided plenty of lighting at night where needed, but it is not too bright or obtrusive. It highlights the different areas to make it easy to navigate in the dark.
The cove is quiet, the neighbors were friendly (we saw them going out on their boats over the weekend), and there is plenty of privacy. We explored the island. We watched the Osprey catch fish, and enjoyed watching the herons, egrets, and other wildlife in and around the lake. We caught and released a few small fish.
It was the perfect getaway, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for sharing such an amazing place with us!

Beautiful views with lots of space!!! Our kids and dogs really enjoyed having room to play and not being confined to small spaces the entire trip. It was so nice to not be shoved right on top of another camper like a typical campground. Ann and Jack were excellent hosts who gave us our space, but were also there for anything we needed. We can't wait to go back and explore the lake on our jet ski!!!

This is a beautiful and peaceful place. We had the best time fishing, paddle boating and kayaking. This was our second visit and loved every minute of being there.

What a gorgeous property! I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway. Very quiet and had a great time. The lake views are wonderful from the campsite! Had a great time too kayaking on the lake! Ann and Jack were very friendly and helpful. Great weekend!

I couldn’t have found a more peaceful place. Accommodations for rv camping by a lake are the best. You can lounge on a dock and watch the sun rise or the look at the stars at night.
If you are into ATV’s the Carolina Adventure World is very close by.
The Hosts are super friendly and very helpful.
I would definitely book again.

Beautiful Lake Camping
Beautiful lake view. Hosts were fantastic going out of their way to make sure we were accommodated. Great guest wifi access....cause cell phones don't work well there. Hosts provided great restaurant reccomendations in nearby Ridgeway. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing camping experience, this is a great option!

Absolutely beautiful spot. Very quiet. Jack and Ann are excellent hosts. We didn't want for anything, but they were more than willing if we did.
They even have lighter fluid set out be the fire pits. A nice touch that I never would have even thought of.
