Enjoy a secluded stay just a stone’s throw from Devils Fork State Park — only a 15-minute drive — and halfway between Table Rock State Park (40 minutes) and Oconee State Park. I’ve got your back! I shuttle hikers and support adventurers along the gorgeous Foothills Trail, whether you’re tackling a section at a time or the entire route. Stay for a night or settle in longer in our swanky Bell Tent, featuring primitive accommodations, a composting toilet, and an outdoor shower right on the property. This is your perfect base for endless adventures — or even a college game in Clemson. And don’t even get me started on the fishing! Between the Chattooga River, Chauga River, and Lake Jocassee, you’ll have the ultimate catch waiting. Trail magic is a great space and Carla is an amazing host! Perfectly secluded and comfortable. Will absolutely be staying here again after a day on the lake!

Private and cozy!

Carla was out of town during our stay, but was very helpful from the moment we booked until she handed communication over to John (who also lives on the land) John was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, calm & steady, and made sure we had everything we needed to have a lovely weekend. He was also full of day trip recommendations that we’re excited to try out on our next visits! They seem to be well-traveled, open-minded people that immediately made me feel comfortable and safe. We’re pretty low maintenance, so the air-conditioned, large tent with a comfy bed, composting toilet, and access to a shower felt like such a luxury! Even during the brief thunderstorms, the tent was a delightful place to be. The amount of personal space we had was also a treat. John was always a text or call away, but the campsite is tucked back in the trees just enough to feel a total sense of privacy and peace. If you’re used to actual camping, this place is an absolute luxury retreat. If you’re expecting this to be an airb&b, don’t. 😆 Overall, I definitely see myself returning, and would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Private and very cozy

What a great private spot!! It was just me and the tent. There was a pretty bad storm rolling in and I needed a solid place to stay for the night and I found Carla's spot. It was absolutely perfect and comfortable and the big canvass tent/yurt was exactly what I needed during my camping trip. I asked Carla for some suggestions of things to do the next day and she pointed me to some awesome waterfalls, Lake Jocassee at Devils Fork state park, and a great place for horse back riding. I ended up staying an additional 2 nights. 1st night there was a gnarly storm with no problems, 2nd night was pretty chilly and the heater kept the tent perfectly warm and cozy all night, and my 3rd night was enjoyed hanging outside the tent enjoying the night time wilderness. Carla is a great host and I will be back for sure in the near future!! Thanks again Carla! See ya soon
