Weekend Trip to Open large grass fields near pond

A quick last-minute getaway and my second stay at Marc's property — perfect for a spontaneous evening escape, especially with bad weather on the way. It was great to let the pup run around and relax for a bit. Marc is always very responsive, and I really appreciate having his place as a go-to spot for a short retreat.

Weekend Trip to Eagles Landing

We had a wonderful experience at Eagles Landing which is appropriately named. There were three flying over the lake the entire weekend. It is serene and stunning all at the same time. Kevin was the most wonderful host who hand delivered a very generous and thoughtful gift basket. He had kayaks, life vest, fishing poles and firewood available. The wildlife there amazing. The lake was pure heaven! It is on our list of places to visit regularly. You will not regret booking this fabulous hip camp! P.S. We are now hooked on kayaking! Life is good in your sixties!

Weekend Trip to Kaleidoscope Farm

Stephanie H. was quick to respond and very helpful in helping us find the campsite in the dark. We stayed one night and enjoyed having the property to ourselves. The campsite was clean, rustic, and private.

2 nights at Double J Acres

Awesome host. Jennifer was there to greet and stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was good. Nice spot, It was the only spot so it was quiet. Enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and there was enough random tree branches around to keep it going. It had 30 amp and 110 outlet. I managed to trip a breaker, my fault. Jennifer showed me where the breaker box was. Excellent stay.

1 night at Sweetwater Lake Campground

I enjoyed staying at Sweetwater. It was a beautiful site with lots of songbirds and friendly campers. The site was as described and the hosts were helpful. Lots of history at Sweetwater that I found interesting. Sweetwater Lake Campground has been in the family for 3 generations and it is in the process of being upgraded. Expect more glamping tents and other things soon. I would camp here again.

A relaxing retreat by a scenic pond. It was perfect for what I was looking for: an easy place to spend the night in peace and quiet.

Weekend Trip to Lakeshore Family Campground

Owners communicated very well, stopped through on Saturday morning and introduced himself. Was receptive to a suggestion I made for the campsite - they had brought in crush and run, but had a low point where my passenger side tires sat making it unlevel. He gave suggestions for things that were happening in town. The dock is brand new, site was clean. Visited the Lake Monticello Recreation area not far which was also nice. Can’t beat the price, would recommend, especially for a group of campers! Rent all 6 sites and enjoy the group fire pit together!

Easy to find campsite. Owners super nice. What a treat to have water and electricty. Peaceful spot overlooking the pond. Enjoyed the firepit with the provided wood...nice perk. A bit of road noise, and you must be diligent to find a level spot for your rv, but overall, highly recommended.

James was an attentive host and his responses were very quick. The campsite is awesome, clean, and in a very safe location. We enjoyed our camping trip here and will be back again for sure!

10 nights at Big Creek RV Park of Saluda SC

We camped for 10 nights. Very quiet other than the birds singing. We enjoyed visiting with our children and grandchildren who all live in the area. Our host, James, was very nice and accommodating. Our campsite was a mix of sun and shade. The kids had a great time kayaking and fishing in Big Creek which borders part of the property. It was like camping in the middle of the woods, but close to the little town of Saluda. Thank you James. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

3 nights at Norman Farms

Rebecca had ample room for us and we were able to look at their fruit orchard and greenhouse while we were there. Very quiet. And our pets were welcome.

Was on a lane with about 4 other houses on the lane. A quiet space and clean. Host was great w communication. We stayed one night and appreciated the spot while traveling.

My group had an amazing time! It felt super secluded and private, but we were still within walking distance of the farm so we could easily visit the animals. Marc was incredibly welcoming and was happy to show us around and introduce us to all of the animals, and was readily available at all times if we needed him. I 100% recommend this place to anyone who loves animals and anybody who wants a nice secluded camping trip!

For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? Drive two hours south, and you’ll hit Charleston and the Atlantic coast beaches; head north, and you’ll reach the Blue Ridge Mountains in the same amount of time.
