Frances’s tent sites are nothing short of magical. They sit right on the edge of a beautiful saltwater marsh where you can watch redfish feeding, dolphins playing, and the most glorious sunrises you’ll ever see. The natural splendor of the place is only outshined by Frances herself; warm, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable. She makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and memorable camping experience, this is the spot. Truly a gem.

Frances has a little corner of paradise here. I enjoyed my time staying at her hip camp, and Frances was a wonderful host.

Our stay at Frances’s place was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning — wide open downs, breathtaking sunsets, and that golden-hour light that makes everything glow. It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot that feels both grounding and inspiring.
We also really enjoyed sharing the space with another camper — everyone was very friendly and very generous, which made the experience even more special.
Frances’s generosity, warmth, and hospitality are truly unparalleled. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable throughout our stay. You can feel how much care and heart she puts into hosting.
We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

This spot has the most amazing sunsets! Great for fishing and kayaking. Fran is an awesome host and always accommodating. Stella is always your guide around the property. Super friendly with people and other dogs. The outdoor shower is my favorite spot especially on cool evenings. Would recommend to anyone who loves nature and quiet

The lady is very rude. There website says nothing about NO SMOKiNG but yet she complained the whole time I did not enjoy it at all

We really enjoyed camping here! It's a beautiful and peaceful property. My dog loved jumping off the dock trying to catch the shrimp jumping out the the water as the tide rolled out. There's an abundance of wildlife here. We saw armadillos running though the trees, caught little crabs scurrying across the dock, and watched the shorebirds hunt the fish that were schooling everywhere. Fran is a wonderful, kind host. It was also a pleasure having her dog, Stella, join us around the fire and our walks down to the water. I definitely plan on staying here again!

Keep this place a secret but I simply can’t. This place is beautiful and great for sight fishing for red drum. Frances is an amazing host that will accommodate you in any way possible. Stella is your night time host. She will stand guard by your tent all night long. She also will guide you around the property while keeping you safe even at night. She also makes a great campfire companion as it seems to be her favorite place. Tons of wildlife around the area and also a great spot for crabbing. Best experience so far!

Frances was very welcoming and kind.
Stella the dog is one of the most smartest dog I have ever seen !, she even understand us !, loving and following us around for the adventures !. I think she understands human language.

Absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Francis’s property. She has a beautiful view and an amazingly long dock that’s so fun to walk down. She was an amazing host and I couldn’t recommend it more!

Fran has a wonderful gorgeous spot, Stella her lab is a wonderful hostess also. I am a female solo camper and Fran was so nice to block off the other camp site so I’d feel alone and secure and have some time to myself. I spent a few days on her dock watching dolphins and fish jump. So much beautiful nature in abundance. The stars on the lake are magical and I found more mushrooms than I had seen in so long. Very beautiful place I would definitely recommend and plan to totally come back.

I needed a very last minute spot, and Frances was so nice and led me to a great spot to park! Just stayed the night so I wasn’t able to check out all that she had to offer, but I would stay again!

Beautiful site with gorgeous s view of the creek! The kids loved the tire swing and enjoyed a quick run of kayaking. There is also a campsite on location with decorative lights strung and logs to sit on. This space is shared by potential campers. Hot and cold water available and even an outdoor shower. We would definitely stay again!

Cheryl and Murph were so awesome and waited up for me even though I was running late. The property was amazing as were their hospitality. They served me some of their coffee in the morning and Murph went fishing with me out on the flats. I had an amazing time on the creek and would love to come back!

Wonderful firepit and waterfront dock areas! Host was welcoming and the campsite felt safe. Great facilities. You cannot camp directly in front of the water but that didnt make our trip any less enjoyable.

This site was outstanding. It was easy to pull in our 16 ft camper, and we stepped out to a lovely view of the water and its plentiful bird life. It was hard to choose between the lovely dock or the firepit for dinner. It was a kayaker's dream, being able to launch from the site and explore the nooks and crannies of the creek. We even shuttled our car with our bikes and did a one way trip, seeing dolphins on the way. Cheryl was very welcoming and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful opportunity. Enjoy!

The camp sight was amazing. We had an absolute blast on the property and it was only about 30minutes from Folly beach. Cheryl was very good with communication as well as a friendly welcoming host. We will definitely be making a trip back!

This was a dream campsite!! I like a lot of privacy when I camp, and this location delivered! Between the tire swing, playful doggies, and amazing dock, my 6 year old twins stayed entertained the whole time without much effort from me. I felt safe letting my kids roam the property freely. Win!
Liz had great communication and fast response via text. The caretakers at the front of the property were so welcoming and friendly.
No fish biting on our visit, but we did haul in 7 blue crabs in less than 18 hours with one trap! Next time we’ll come with more bait, and the rest of our family.

This was our first Hipcamp experience. The bar has been set very high. Everything was beyond expectations. The property is gorgeous and Cheryl made us feel very welcome. We will be looking to return.

We absolutely loved our stay on Wadamlaw Island!! Sunset and sunrise from the dock were beautiful. Hosts were so welcoming and kind. Such a beautiful area. We will definitely be back!
