I fell in love with this property. My family and I had a good quality time there. The hosts were very friendly, and their communication was very positive. When you enter the property, you can feel they care about their business, also, the campsite is in excellent condition. I even bought farm eggs from them! This was one of the best campsites I've stayed at, and it was a blessing to my family, especially my young kid.

We had an amazing time staying at this place! The property is very quiet and peaceful, and we felt warmly welcomed by the kind people there. My friends and I brought our own tents and a grill, and everything worked out perfectly. The hot tub was a bit smaller than we expected, but we still really enjoyed it. Even my puppy had a blast! We truly had a great experience and I’d definitely come back again.

We only stayed a short while on Belinda’s property, but from what we saw, the place was perfect for our needs! Instructions to get there were very easy and simple to follow, and Belinda’s husband even showed us how to use the toilet at our campsite. The night was super peaceful and quiet with the occasional honk or quack from nearby fowl, which I personally loved! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

I enjoyed site one next to The distillery in the heart of the farm. The Bistro was good and I got some steaks from "Bruce" at the farm store. By the time we left we had met everybody who worked there and they were all very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the area with all the things to do, including the Chattooga River and multiple waterfalls.

I had the most beautiful first camping experience thanks to Kurt. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us with such warmth and genuine care, it truly felt like visiting an old friend. He’s someone who genuinely cares, and that’s rare to find these days. His wealth of knowledge is inspiring, and his deep love for off-the-grid living shines through in everything he does. Even more special is how openly and generously he shares that passion with others. To top it all off, after we returned home and realized we had left our laptop bag at a local coffee shop, Kurt didn’t hesitate to pick it up and ship it back to us without a second thought. That level of kindness is special. We’re so grateful for the experience and can’t recommend Kurt’s hospitality enough. Truly unforgettable!

Neal Creek Primitive camping by the creek is located on private property. The two large campsites are approximately 300 feet apart and are located right beside the running creek. So bring your tents, campers or your small RV and come and setup down by the babbling creek. If you don't have or own a tent, we have a large 6-8 person tent available for a small rental fee too. You be the judge. About 4 years ago we left our South Florida handcrafting furniture business to pursue this new goal. We set out to build an inspiring experience in simple, eco-friendly living that would find a harmony between some of the old fashioned world that we'd found ourselves missing, and the handful of modern advancements that were actually beneficial. All while keeping it classy. At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cabins, installing solar, composting, planting, and building toilets that are better for our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature. Ani and I are big believers in being mindful and respectful of our environment wherever reasonable. So, we are incorporating both alternative and municipal utilities as they can fit into our homestead design and limited budget. Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" small living can feel. We all have personal priorities and those will vary greatly, and that's okay. But no person should be so self-absorbed that we have completely shut out the importance of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our fellowman. After all, if we don't have that, what do we have? To be completely transparent, though, the creatives in us also would like it if we inspired onlookers to possibly look at their own space and life a little bit differently. We've personally found it to be so fulfilling to distinguish real desires and needs from the ones we've been groomed to pursue, and then work to make them a reality. We've found it energizing to witness our fellowmen and women pursuing a dream. We'd like to be a stimulating memory along any person's journey. Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, and that they can appreciate some of our old-fashioned ways. That, as our paths cross, we won't be held to a business-first standard that we have worked hard to remove ourselves from. We realize everyone has a right to be themselves, but our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm.

Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. Pee Dee and the Grand Strand

The Pee Dee River runs all the way from the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina to Georgetown on the Atlantic Coast. This northeastern slice of South Carolina is best known for its Grand Strand beaches, whether camping at the hugely popular Myrtle Beach resorts, bird-watching at Huntington Beach State Park, or teeing off at one of the many coastal golf courses.

Greenville is the starting point for exploring the north, from where you can hike the 3,533-foot summit of Sassafras Mountain, the state’s highest peak; camp amid the mountains in Table Rock State Park; or explore the multi-use trails at Paris Mountain State Park. For backcountry camping, it doesn’t get much better than the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area, which links the Jones Gap and Caesars Head state parks.
