We really enjoyed our stay at Eddie and Colleen’s place! Super nice and accommodating hosts. They were very knowledgeable about the area and all it had to offer. Everything is very convenient. Close to everything, yet very private. The cabin is super cute with all the essentials provide. My husband really LOVED the outside hot shower! If you’re looking for a great glamping experience in the area, this is the place! We’ll definitely be back!

Please read the descriptions VERY carefully before you stay here. The accommodations are extremely small, there is no porch light so it is pitch-black outside and so hard to see, there isn’t even a microwave or toaster to use, and the toilet and shower are outside while the mosquitoes endlessly attack you.
But worst of all, the portable toilet is extremely disgusting to use and the most antiquated and old-fashioned toilet I have ever seen. You have to manually pull out the lever and dirty your hand then push it back in to shift everything to the bottom. Once you are finished, the stench is awful and lingers for many minutes. The area is also swarming with mosquitoes. I must have been bitten 20 times
The host herself was lovely and accommodating and the bedsheets were clean, but these are the only two upsides of staying at this place. We made a mistake booking because we did not properly read the description. In my opinion this was not worth the money, nearly $90 per night, and I would much rather book a hotel or motel elsewhere. Please know what you are getting into before you stay here. I booked this because I wanted the cabin experience, I used to book a cabin and it was a very memorable and positive experience for me in Montana, which is why I chose this accommodation.
My son and I had such a great time in the cabin! Colleen and her mom were wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend a stay at their place. The accommodations were clean, AC made for a very comfortable sleep during the hot summer days. It was the perfect place for a quick drive to Crystal River and the surrounding springs that made for an unforgettable mid-week camping trip. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

Clean, good looking, great communication. Loved the A/C on a hot day to sleep in. I had it on high and almost needed an extra blanket.
I love this cute getaway tucked in a quiet place. host was friendly and helpful getting me oriented to the amenities.
Colleen is a wonderful host. The cabin is cozy and well-built - kept critters and rain outside. The window AC unit was a life saver in the FL summer heat. The outdoor shower was heated. - a nice, intentional touch that made a world of difference coming back from fishing in Ozello State Park. The magic of this cabin is at dawn and dusk. The crickets, frogs, and birds make a beautiful symphony in the cool stillness. Which can be enjoyed on the patio on the rocking chair. Bait and tackle, groceries, and restaurants all withing reasonable driving distance. Plenty of boat ramps and fishing around.

Had a great time at the "cabin". Secluded enough for privacy. Very cute and homey. Colleen was a great host. Gave us full instructions on where everything was and how it works. They provided everything you needed. Just bring clothes, toiletries, and drinking water. Would definitely stay again if in the area again.
This spot was quick and easy for a camper. The bed was comfy, the outdoor shower was great. The tin roof made the rain loud and lovely. I enjoyed it. Not a fancy place but a kind and welcoming one was what I needed on my first day of the adventure.

This was such a cute little spot. Theres a lot of supplies already there and we definitely overpacked! The bed and linens were clean and it was cold when we stayed, so the heated blanket was a plus. Definitely will stay again if in the area.

Overall nice place for the price. Cabin was very clean on arrival with heat and AC. Small fridge included. We really enjoyed having a fire every night. The one thing I wish we paid more attention to was the toilet situation. It is a portable toilet which evidently I missed in the description. That's my fault. We were able to easily remedy that situation by using nearby facilities. The convince of having a grocery store within practical walking distance was a definite bonus. This would be the optimal boys camping trip.

Very peaceful
We wanted to stay in the woods and that is exactly what it was. My first time "glamping" and I recommend it. Nice to sleep in a real bed, have AC, heat and protection from the elements. We made a fire every night and enjoyed the trees, birds and squirrels running around. It is close to the main house, but we were unbothered and it felt private. Definitely a thumbs up! Very quiet yet close to town.

Charming, convenient, and fabulous deal for the price. Absolutely perfect for a couple and dog.
We loved our stay! It was an adorable cozy little cabin with the benefits of camping--dinner over a fire, enjoying the outdoors, and an outdoor shower (so cool and enjoyable--even when it got cold at night!). We will definitely be back here. Perfect for a short getaway weekend and very easy to take kids with you without the stress of cramming into a tent and/or getting bad sleep on the ground. We brought out 5 month old and had plenty of room for her portacrib ! Very simple and fun!
My partner and I decided to extend our vacation to spend more time paddle boarding the beautiful springs and seeing the manatees, and Colleen’s place was affordable, peaceful, and in close proximity to the springs! We loved showering under the stars in the hot outdoor shower and we made an excellent meal on the charcoal grill. We didn’t use the bonfire pit, but the set up was really cute, with a hanging bench and an outdoor table and chairs. Although the place is situated fairly close to Colleen’s house, it still felt private and comfortable. We are avid and seasoned campers, so this “glamping” experience was familiar to us and had just what we needed (a warm, dog-friendly place to stay with a bed and hot shower) for a fraction of the price of an AirBNB or hotel stay. We would definitely visit again! Thanks Colleen!

Great getaway cabin! My wife and I brought our dog Zoe for the weekend to go see the manatees and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. The weather was perfect and the campfire was roaring. Our host graciously provided the firewood and gave us a great brief tour of what to expect. She even provided local knowledge on some local bars etc. our dog Zoe was fine in the cabin while we left in the AC and we went hiking not 10 minutes away. I would highly suggest this place and we plan to come back one day.

My family & I enjoyed our stay at the Happy Campers cabin in Colleen & Eddie's property. Colleen is a lovely host. The cabin is super cute inside & out. It's a perfect central location for exploring the surrounding nearby springs & Gulf. A 10 minute drive to Crystal River & Three Sister Springs, & a 20 min drive to Homosassa Springs National Park.
Wonderful hosts, beautiful property, can't wait to come back. Loved the electric fireplace. Very cozy. Great amenities and vibes.

Wonderful cabin, wonderful host, wonderful location! The only thing to keep in mind is the outdoor shower/portable toilet area does not have a pop up or netting, so it’s mildly difficult to avoid getting bitten if you’re taking your time in the shower or potty. But hey, that’s nature and it was worth getting A/C while visiting the springs!

I spent the weekend at their property and the cabin was fantastic. The property is in a perfect location only 10/15 minutes from everything. The rain on the roof and the quietness was golden! Absolutely recommend a stay here. They were wonderful hosts and very kind. I will be staying here in the future when I go back to Crystal Springs! Thank you guys I had a great time!
Exactly what I was looking for in a peaceful weekend get away. Colleen is such a sweet person. Worked with me when I needed to switch weekends due to Debbie coming in to visit. She waived the 75.00 fee it cost to switch the weekends. Her mom was a pleasure to talk to and the store is adorable. Beds were very comfortable. Very nice and comfortable.
