Im glad I came back to the comments, thought I had already left a review. This is a real camp ground, the layout and nice outdoor shower are awsome! We will definitely go back.

Park is was Sam’s backyard area, but adequate distance from their house. There are a number of permanent residents that were quiet and nice. The outdoor shower was definitely my favorite park. The porta potty was clean and smelled nice. Sam provided a couple pieces of firewood which was very nice. I personally felt $30 was a little pricey for a spot with no electricity but I understand they are just staying out and need to cover the costs of development. The area was quiet and dark and a decent amount of trees between the spaces to add a bit of privacy. Would recommend 4WD as some of the sandy areas are soft due to development. I met Adam and Gwen and both were very nice and helpful. Overall, great stay!

We had a great time camping with our tent in a last minute reservation. The site was private, spacious, and wooded. The outdoor shower had hot water and was really well done. The communication was great from the moment I made the reservation! Great location, under 15 minutes to Mt. Dora and King’s Landing.

We had a nice time at Tangerine Hideaway. Our campsite was very spacious and the outdoor showers were a nice touch. The campsite was tucked away and felt secluded. While we tent camped, there were plenty of sites with hookups for RVs. They were very accommodating of our late check in time. I would recommend this spot for anyone in the area!

What a hidden gem! This is a great secluded camp with a short drive to Mt. Dora. Easy hookups, plenty of shade, quiet and relaxing. Sam is a great host and made sure we had what we needed upon arrival. We’ll definitely be back!

Peaceful Nature Spot

This spot is in a great location and was quiet and secluded enough for us. There was some shade and plenty of trees to make for a peaceful setting. We saw squirrels and birds and several butterflies. The spots were nice but tight. We have a 25' skoolie (12' clearance) and I don't think anything much larger than us would have fit easily with all the low hanging branches and trees. The neighboring spots were close by but more private than any RV park we've stayed at. We loved our stay and the host was helpful and accommodating with any questions we had. The original coordinates in the app took us to the wrong place but that's suposedly an issue with Google and will hopefully be fixed in the future. If you find yourself at a black iron gate with a beware of dog sign then you're at the wrong place. The driveway is only accessible from Terrell Rd. We would come back here anytime. We loved the area and downtown Mt. Dora is adorable, everybody was so friendly and many unique places to shop and spend the day exploring the town.

Nice new hipcamp. Sam met us when we arrived and we walked to check site. Site 3 is what you wood expect. Gravel, water, picnic table. Fire-pit, and electric. Tall pines and shade. Definitely would stay again. Two adults and large dog. Lance truck camper.

This place has just opened! It still needs a lot of work. Getting in was a little hard to get around some of the tree and getting into our space to park was very difficult. Need to have grass or rock in the spot very sanded. Clean it up more for I was concerned for snake and other critters. But when this place is finished I think it going to be awesome to stay at. I will go back when it done!!!!

Truly a Hideaway Near Mt. Dora

My husband and I loved staying at Tangerine Hideaway! They are correct in calling it a hideaway as it is tucked away and remote however still just minutes from downtown Mt. Dora. When we visited, the sites were finalized but were still working diligently to clean up and clear out around the property. They also have plans to add a bath house soon. The sites are spacious with water, electric hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings. Great tree coverage which provided nice shade. They have 3 long-term mini rental homes toward the front of the property with the 5 tent and RV/camper sites directly behind. Host was out of town but other family members and property workers were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Even got the warmest hello from the sweet watch dog, Boomer. Looking forward to visiting again soon and excited to see what more they add to the property!

So many butterflies. Great stay

I think we saw 8 different kinds of butterflies. It was so relaxing to just watch them. The site had a brand new picnic table and fire ring. There are trees all around every site so you have some privacy from neighbors. Really enjoyed our stay.
