Wonderful place close to NPs

Outstanding place off the beaten path but close to everything! Wonderful property in the heart of the Homestead agricultural area. Quiet, beautiful and spacious. Close to Biscayne and Everglades NPs and Miami. Great assortment of little eateries and fruit stands nearby all over Homestead. Hagen was a very friendly host with excellent communication. We had a fantastic 2 week stay and would definitely come back!

Hagen (our host) went out of his way to make sure we were set up and comfortable. And we got to stay under a magnificent wind generator..... wow. And the property was beautiful with all the palm trees.

Cool palm grove

Another great Hipcamp site. The setting is nice and overall has the feeling of seclusion due to the immense and abundant palm trees. Hagen was a good host, easy going and informative. He had a handful of full time campers, but the sites are spacious and spread apart.

We enjoyed our stay there. The hook ups were close and it was easy to get into the spot. Several other people there but my site was fairly private. A great place to stay for a daytime run to the Keys!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Hagen's place, the sites are well spaced, and there was plenty of area for my kids to play both in the shade of palms and in a big grassy area central to the sites. I hope to come and stay again when I return to the area!

Excellent location for the Keys, Everglades and Miami! Approaches and local roads are a bit tight if you have a big rig. We tucked right into a grove of royal palms, felt secluded as was cooler. If you’re a birder, there are several eBird hotspots within 30 minute radius.

This was our first HipCamp experience and it did not disappoint. Hagen is a kind and accommodating host. He made us and our pups feel welcome the moment we arrived. The property is kept beautifully and is in such a serene part of Dade county. Perfectly located, you can visit Miami and the Keys easily. We recommend staying here to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hagen's! The spot was private, our dogs loved the room to stretch their legs and we were close to everything we wanted to do - including snorkel at Pennekamp. Hagen was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Bonus! We had a beautiful view of the lunar eclipse. We would highly recommend staying here.

Unique private site. Loved it!

This site was unique and very private. The grounds were very green and lush. The owner was out of town but communicated with us to make sure we had everything we needed. There are caretakers on site that were very helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we get back to that area. We enjoyed it and it was convenient to everything.

Everglades stop before Keys

Large open gravel area next to a small house with a tent and table set up. Space is in the middle of a mini campground. Water is not potable so we did not end up using it. Sewer hook up was at the very back of the site so extension are necessary. Area felt secure with a gate and other campers. We did go through a less than desirable town on our way but felt safe once we arrived. Hagen was great to work with and quick to answer questions. We spent the day in the everglades.

Camping in Homestead, FL

This facility is in the hart of rural Homestead, FL. Very easy to get to the Keys for a day trip as well as close to stores and restaurants, but still has the country feel. The facility is fully fenced with remote access for entrance so there is a real safety aspect to the facility as well as having adequate lighting at night. We travel with our black lab and she had plenty of room to run and play fetch with her ball.

Great quiet site!

Upon arriving the owner met us and directed us to our sight. It was nice rock sight with full hookups. We were situated amongst numerous royal palms. Which offered plenty of shade. The property is gated and we received a remote to get in and out. The place is super quiet and just a few miles from us1 and the beginning of the keys. When we are down in the area we will definitely go back!

My dad and I had a wonderful time on Hagen’s property between the palms. It was an easy check in where Hagen provided the gate codes and the hookup had water and electricity. He even had a nice picnic table and chairs set up under a tent. The location is great, close to the Keys and Everglades so it makes it a great home base for those camping in the area.

The palms were beautiful and provided plenty of shade. We ended up in a different site than we were originally assigned and we loved it even more ❤️ The full timers were kind and helpful. Hagen was quick to respond to any questions and at site daily. We had a large space with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Thank you for sharing with us 🫶🏻

Nice, quiet stay!

A handful of other campers on-site but still felt private and quiet. Hagen brought his 3 dogs and let them free roam, it was nice to be able to let our 2 dogs stretch their legs as well. Hagen was a very hospitable host! Connections were just barely long enough to reach but we were able to make it work.
