The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by! These are beautiful comfortable rooms with half baths in the rooms. The showers are located in the lodge bathhouse. WE have the Jungle themed room, the Equestrian themed room and the Honeymoon Suite. This is a very romantic, yet rustic getaway equipped with a half bath as well. Very secluded and private overlooking the spring on one side and the water fall on the other. Sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and at night the sound of the waterfall will lull you to sleep. The shower is located in the Lodge bathhouse. Just go a little bit further until you see the sign for Camp Seminole Spring. Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking. Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

Located near I-75 just 20 miles South of Tampa, 35 miles east of Saint Petersburg, 35 miles North of Sarasota, 2 hours West of Orlando. This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay. Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites. Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property. We think the property is lovely, and definitely want you to enjoy your camping experience!

It was a nice place to stay. Only thing is we had an ac next to our tent which was running all night. Would recommend still. We had amazing neighbors who helped us a lot!!!

My first Hipcamp experience and Jay and Suzette’s place has now set the expectation bar high for all future stays. :) Wonderful stay and super affordable based on the property. Bath house was great added feature. All instructions were clear and their communication on any questions was quick. Highly recommended.

This spot was absolutely GORGEOUS and worth a night (or two) of your trip. Definitely upgrade to the waterfront site, you're right on the water, with easy access for wading/snorkeling, perfect for families. Great facilities and accommodations, will stay again.

Set up was a breeze on arrival. Jay met me and showed me my boondocking site - flat and plenty of room to pull in and circle around for my 26' TT. Keyed and gated entry was nice. Each day I heard the neighbor's rooster and a braying donkey - far enough away to be unobtrusive and near enough to be enjoyed. Other campers down the road were either tent campers or RVs enjoying full hookups. Met some nice folks! Only had 2 other boondocking neighbors during my 7 night stay. Jay and Suzette were lovely and welcoming. Enjoyed evening conversation while the guys played horseshoes. The laundry/shower/toilet rooms were clean and well kept. Laundry rate was very reasonable. I enjoyed my time there so much I extended my stay a few more days. You might want to bring your own fresh water as the water hose by the tank dump is not technically potable due to its location.

Very nice little campground with clean bathrooms and showers. My lot was right on the small beach area so it felt fairly public, but everyone was friendly. It was a perfect site for my 12 foot teardrop camper. I will request the same lot the next time I go!

The pool is the cleanest I have ever seen while traveling and the other campers were very respectful and fun. The hang out spot by the ice cream spot wound up being one of our favorites and overall we had a great experience.

We needed a boondock site for one night. We booked with Jay and Suzette and we were very surprised Bathroom, shower, laundry, little treats, and lovely trails around the property to take a walk or jog. The tent and RV-hook-up sites are scattered about giving alot of space and privacy . They were lovely hosts as well.

Weekend Trip to Bell Oaks Ranch 5 min from Beach

We had a positive experience staying at the Front Entrance Farm Stay at Bell Oaks Ranch. The location was very convenient—just a short drive to the beach, which is where we spent most of our time. We mainly used the site to sleep, but it was quiet, comfortable, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. Overall, a great, simple spot in a convenient location.

Gateway Trails is by far the best Hipcamp site I have visited. Jay and his pup greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. We only made a quick overnight but honestly I could have stayed for days. Highly recommend especially to solo travelers looking for a safe place to rest your head.

My husband and I just stayed in the camp for one night, but it was great. We enjoyed the man’s made beach, it was quite and the water was pleasant. The receptionist was an angel, we ran out of drinking water and she give us some. Thank you for everything.

This RV park had great access to the beach. It was clean and in a nice area. Perfect location between Destin and Pensacola but also had some charming restaurants and nightlife less than 20 min from rv park. We would definitely stay here again.
