Weekend Trip to Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

We chose Sherri and Robert mid afternoon (last minute) after being unable to secure a walk in site at the Anastasio State Park. They were very accommodating, and the camping spot in front of their home worked out perfectly for our 24’ Winnebago View with a rear and side slide. The WiFi connection was superb, and of course there was ample power and water. The neighborhood was quiet and provided a nice, safe place to walk our dog. This was our first Hipcamp experience and we would certainly stay here again.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

What an amazing stay. The wagon was beautiful and clean. We had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the nature around us. I really loved feeding the animals and having them roam around freely around you was a treat ! Elaine was a lovely host and very attentive. I would definitely go back! Thank you Elaine for a wonderful weekend.

5 nights at Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

We loved staying at Sherri and Robert's site. It is so convenient to historic St. Augustine and the beach. The pad is level, and the site has full hookups (30 amp). The hosts are friendly and helpful. They even loaned us camp chairs as we forgot to pack ours. We will definitely return when we visit St. Augustine.

Very cute, cozy cottage -- rustic lakefront accommodations. Tiny house dimensions: 8-ft wide x 16-ft long "bunkhouse", sleeping loft with twin bed is nearly 4-ft deep and 8-ft wide accessible by step-ladder and a cot-width chaise lounge below; the porch decking is 8-ft wide by 6-ft deep with a generous sloping roof.

Judith was very kind and accommodating. The bunk house was set up very nicely. The view was great we even got to see a Sandhill crane family with a chick! All in all had a great stay.

Robert and Sherri are awesome hosts. They made us feel at home and their place is so cute and well taken care of. Saw lots of birds and some turtles in the pond. The back yard is very serene and quiet. The camping neighbors in site 2 were real nice too. The pad is a driveway, but the way they have it set up, with hedges and a nice paver patio, you don’t feel like you’re in a front yard.

6 nights at Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

Staying at Robert & Sherri's quaint and quiet space for a week was just what I needed to feel some respite and renewal. I was at pad #2, which had access to a lovely patio set and a couple of chairs in a grassy area for relaxation. Having hook-ups for water, electric, and wastewater was such a convenience. I had the opportunity to ride my bicycle to the beach, which was incredibly fun. It was a very simple and safe route down well-maintained sidewalks with beautiful scenery. They recommended that I visit the local farmer's market at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, which I also did by bicycle on very safe sidewalks and one manageable crossing. I was able to buy some fresh vegetables and fruit as well as enjoy a really nice breakfast from a couple of food vendors. Listening to the stylings of some local musicians playing at the market was a bonus. In the afternoons, I enjoyed sitting on the lounge chair by the lake in their backyard watching turtles poking their heads above water and local birds fishing. I truly appreciate the privacy that I was provided by Robert and Sherri. They were so friendly and truly respected my Skoolie as my home. They did invite me to have tea and snacks with them. It was wonderful to talk story and get to know them. They are incredibly kind people and have created a little oasis by the beach in a safe and quiet neighborhood. *There is a KOA literally a street over...so glad I came across their place.

1 night at Camp Seminole Springs

Great stay on Perry’s land. The Spring Glamping tent was perfect. They have power and water and even your own private full bathroom attached. The Seminole Spring and Orange creek with trails that connect are centrally located and are easy hikes. This place is incredibly amazing! Highly recommended! This is our third trip. Thanks Perry!

Weekend Trip to Wooded areas in a horse pasture

We tent camped on the pasture and loved it. There were several camper vans and one trailer that stayed there as well, but there was plenty of space to spread out and have privacy. The shower was surprisingly hot and had great water pressure. The animals are very friendly, several horses, dogs, and cats roaming. One of the dogs, MaeMae, joined us for breakfast every morning we were there. She was so sweet. Just watch out for fire ants!

1 night at Cozy Freedom at Earthperks Farm

It was away from city yet close to main stores. The host was great and explained the farm. The kids even saw an armadillo running around.

Weekend Trip to Wooded areas in a horse pasture

We camped in a van and it was very quiet-slight hums of airplanes in the afternoon and very faint sounds of the gun range in the morning. Nothing to worry about if you are a light sleeper. (This is regarding the review that complained about the noise. ). Also, it did not smell like a farm. 😊 Gayle was quick to respond and we enjoyed our stay

Weekend Trip to Country Charm Ranch (near St. Aug)

We had a great time camping at Stephanie’s. Directions were clear and simple, and we had many different spots we could pitch the tent. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the animals and getting to spend some time with them. The turkey was very sweet! Great place for a short staycation, out in nature but not far from stores, restaurants and St. Augustine. Would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Private Escape on the Lake

Again, we had the most amazing time at Escape on the Lake this past weekend! It was pure relaxation and bliss. Only a scenic 30-minute drive away from the vibrant town of DeLand, there is always something exciting happening on the weekends, like the lively music festival we stumbled upon during our stay. Additionally, the close proximity to De Leon Springs National Park provided the perfect opportunity for a soothing soak in its natural spring. This sanctuary has become our favorite spot for unwinding and enjoying stress-free weekends.

Incredible nature and the perfect Spring Glamping Tent at Camp Seminole Springs! Perry is an excellent host and his land is a great place to unwind and leave the world behind. Weekend Trip to Lakefront Sweet Spot, N Central FL

This place was exactly what I needed! First time solo camping and felt completely safe and comfortable. This was such a great place to unwind and relax! I camped lakefront on this beautiful lake, which offered peaceful kayaking and wildlife. The camping area was clean, well maintained, and exactly as advertised. I plan to return again soon! No complaints at all!

The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. Central location serves as a good base camp for day trips to the ocean beaches at either the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast, the manatees at various springs, or Ocala horse country. Variety of shops and restaurants are located in Gainesville to the west or Palatka to the east, both an easy drive on S.R. 20. BOONDOCKING SITE: Must be self-contained and leave no trace. Accepting only one camping guest vehicle at a time. The homeowner property is fenced with drive-through wing gates, host will greet you upon arrival so you can choose your spot either in the shade or in the sun or somewhat in between as the sandy ground slopes gently to the private lake. Best for vans, SUVs, or those with car and tent. Please inquire regarding compact RVs -- due to overhanging branches of oak shade trees, and limited size of the 0..66 acre lot, cannot accommodate large RVs or travel trailers. Potable water available from the yard's garden hose, but cannot offer power, and there's no public restroom or dump station. Small bags of trash or two can go in our communal covered trash bin. BUNKHOUSE OPTION: Charming dry-camp lakefront cottage (no running water) with basic electrical (cannot handle high-draw electrical devices like heaters or A/C units) has a van-life type camp toilet (bag #2, collect urine/#1; proper disposals supported by Host), jug of local spring water for drinking, bed options include a new twin mattress in upper sleeping loft and a new cot-width padded chaise lounge below (clean fitted bottom sheet and pillowcase provided per stay). Guests provide their own towels and toiletries. Some basic camping kitchen/household items provided. Guests are welcome to use the homeowner Host's vintage rowboat, kayaks, communal firepit, and/or wooden dock. Or there's a small tire-rim firepit by the shorefront. Firewood bundle with kindling available for a small fee. Each has its own furnished patio and small green yard space. We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as an historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is there along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes 32' and under, Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Pets are welcome on leash. accompanied by an adult, Each pet is $5. additional fee. There is an off leash park two blocks away. Most of the beaches are also pet friendly.
