RV-Buffalo Creek @ Newell Lodge
It was lovely camping beneath the live oaks! We were there on Thanksgiving evening, so it was a slow & quiet night. Perfect. Ken was very attentive, & Ashley was quick to respond with any question we may have had via DM. It was also really nice visiting the horses. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.:)

We had a great time! We went to get away from it all and that is exactly what we got. It was so peaceful and quiet. Ken was so friendly and helpful. The horses were very friendly. My dog loved them. We will definitely return!

Best camping experience, EVER!
I’ve camped here a total of 3 times now, 2 times tent camping and 1 time in my camper with my wife and German Shepard. This place is the best kept secret for campers that are tired of state park crowed camping. The horses were awesome to see every day and out dog loved being able to interact with the horses. We are planning on the next trip being a week long so we can totally unwind and see the sites more. Only slightly negative thing I would have to add is that the pumping station was full but pulled into a vacant site and dumped. Definitely a place you have to take your family camping! Thanks for the hospitality!

Unexpected gem. The campground had two different Options the front of the campground or the back by the horses where you could stay. We chose the front because we had our dogs and were worried they’d bark at the horses. The ranch was nicely maintained, bathrooms like someone else said were “clean enough” but it was a great peaceful stay. Only comment is that to get there (at least the way we went) was legit 2 miles down a bumpy dirt road. We didn’t try the restaurant but it was busy so I assume it’s good! Also, the people who work there was very nice and super helpful! Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Best Hidden Gem Ever!
What a hidden gem!! 10 stars!! Ashley is a fabulous host & was also our waitress at the cute Bistro/Restaurant - the prime rib was PRIMO! She was also super helpful when my car battery died by sending Ken over to give me a jump start. He is the best!! He found another issue with a battery cable and fixed it so I could get back to town to replace my battery. He also helped me set up my connections (water & elec at my site) He remediated a red ant issue, picks up your trash in the morning, and also dumped my portable grey tank for me. He turns on the string lights at night all around the campground, what a magical place! This campground & everyone is just amazing.... 63 acres of zen, peace, and tranquility! My site was in the back and I had a view of the horses all day long. Some may ask so I'll answer...No there wasn't any smell from the horses or flies. Just a wonderful view. They love carrots & apples so bring some with you and you'll make a few new friends. There is also a spring fed lake that would be a great swimming hole with a little brush clearing and some sand brought in for a small beach area. The pondside tree is a great place for a picnic. Hopefully they'll add a few benches to sit & enjoy being with the horses lakeside. At night there are deer although I wasn't lucky enough to spot any. I am kicking myself for not bringing my telecope because the night sky is just amazing and littered with stars & planets, no city lights. I'll be back!!!
