Very accommodating and private section on the property. Jeffery went so far as to have a porta john and outdoor hose shower pop up when we stayed. Felt very safe and comfortable

The set up was nice and well maintained. WiFi wasn’t the strongest but we had good cell reception, and the kids loved having the swing and hammock to play on!
Wonderful, peaceful & good location. Jeff was very thoughtful when designing his Hipcamp site. Fire pit, chairs, swing, easy hook ups, welcome packet & a hammock with lots of shade.
About 15 min from historic downtown St. A and a close by fun dog park at Treaty Park.
Loved everything & as a solo RV’er, I felt very safe.
“Happiest” Hideaway
This was a quiet spot at the end of a short residential street. Very private, large flat space. Easy access to trash cans, water spigot and electric hookup. Four chairs out by the fire pit, a hammock and a swing. 20 mins to Historic downtown St Augustine. Great stay. There was enough space for the dogs to have a little space to play.
Utmost professionalism—water and electricity are available, and comprehensive documentation is provided upon arrival, clearly outlining what is permitted and what is not. The accompanying leaflet highlights interesting attractions in the surrounding area. The historic city center is a 40-minute bike ride or a 15-minute drive away.

The Happy Hideaway
We have been full time RVing for the last 5 years and this is one of the most welcoming places we have stayed. Jeffrey was there to help us get set up and he really thought of everything we might need, including letting me borrow a stepladder so I could temporarily repair my windshield which cracked on our way there.
We will definitely try to stay here again!!
Very welcoming place. Would love to go back when I can stay longer. Thanks for a great place to crash for the night on my travels.

The Host was very welcoming, helpful and communicative. I did not stay due to a new camper for me and a narrow road where I was uncomfortable of my height and length. The location is close to town off of a main road for travel. Thankyou

The information our host Jeff graciously shared with us upon arrival was invaluable. The parking spot was private, ample and level. The neighborhood was very peaceful and so convenient to historic St. Augustine and the beach. We loved our stay at Happy Hideaway and definitely recommend it to other happy campers.
Excellent campground experience. Our site was level with plenty of room around the entire RV, and hookups were exactly as advertised — we especially appreciated the hosts courtesy in reference to offering us some money back due to a day in which a few hours of maintenance on the property might have hindered us(mulching the grounds- it was no bother we were out most of the time so we did not accept- the offer was appreciated). We were welcomed with an information packet covering Rv maintenance business contacts info and cost of service i.e., dump, Wi-Fi info, garbage. Especially the local tourist maps and brochures, activities, and restaurants, plus a personalized welcome note/placard at our site, which was a very thoughtful touch. Would definitely stay again. While the surrounding neighborhood coming in is a bit mixed, the campground itself felt well-kept and private it’s only about 6 miles to downtown St. Augustine — very convenient to everything.

The Happy Hideaway
We loved our stay at the Happy Hideaway. The owners were very helpful with positioning our camper and friendly. The space is lovely and private, exactly what we needed after a long drive to get there. They provided firewood also which was appreciated. The spot is quite private next to the green workshop. Our dogs barked a lot at the wildlife but we didn’t see anything other than squirrels. If you back in all the way you may want to have a 50-ft electric cable. We hope to come back and stay a while next time!
A perfect spot for us to land after being chased by winter weather all the way from Vermont. Jeff and Wendy are terrific hosts and we are grateful for our time at the Happy Hideaway. The site had plenty of room for our 35' TT with electric and water nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The short drive to Anastasia Island was easy.

We had a great stay at Jeff's place. It was a peaceful spot with plenty of wood for a fire. Jeff was very welcoming and friendly. Even gave us a information packet with things to do and important numbers which was very thoughtful. Next time we are passing through we will definitely stay there again.

The Happy Hideaway
Nice spot at the end of the road. Very quiet neighborhood, backing up to a large green space. Site is close to all that St. Augustine has to offer! Kindling and firewood all set up for easy use : ) Jeffrey responded quickly to every question and need.
We enjoyed staying at the happy Hideaway and Jeff was a great host. The solid gravel and shell drive was a great place to park our small RV the very quiet and well appointed slip was private and felt very safe.
We were 5 miles from that Saint Augustine amphitheater.
