Weekend Trip to "Sweet Tupelo" on the "Big River"!

Clean and spacious, with only 3 sites there is plenty of room for each camp. Lots of chairs tables and fire pits.

Another great stay at Sweet Tupelo! The site is clean and amenities are perfect! The view was incredible and we had a fun time fishing from the boat dock at the end of the road. We will be back!

This was our first visit to the forgotten coast of Pt Saint Joe and we had just a lovely time with this perfect location! We loved the state park just down the road and enjoyed a snorkeling and sunset tour in town. Justin and Misty were helpful with answering any questions and replying promptly! If I were to share one piece of information for future visitors- this is a sleepy little town and most restaurants/stores close around 9pm. This town is not the fast pace tourist beach town that some may be used to. There is no late night dinners after a long day on the beach. That being said, we loved how quiet this town is! There’s no fighting traffic to get back to your rental or super long waits at restaurants (the Italian Kitchen and Sparks was so delicious!!) Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven!

Absolutely beautiful sites. The sites are huge and spaced perfectly apart from each other. We stayed there with 2 other of our couple friends and had an amazing time. Glenn is also an amazing host, who responds quickly to your questions or concerns.

Loved this quiet place that’s close to the beach but far enough away when you just want to hang out. Me and my wife really liked the decor around the park. It was well maintained, clean and the owner is a great guy! Will be our go-to place when we are back!

Super cool affordable spot to stop if you’re heading towards Panama City! Has a nice covered shelter, picnic tables, wifi, and a porta john that was clean. They also have like a 4x4 track/trail thing if you have a built out Jeep/Bronco!

We loved our stay at Incommunicado! The private beach access was a huge plus — peaceful, quiet, and never crowded. It truly felt like our own little escape. The whole site was calm and relaxing, perfect for unplugging and recharging. We’ll definitely be back!

Campsite was clean and level. With some shade from sun.. Close to boat ramp and ample room for a boat and camper. Bonus for the laundry room options! Communication was great and prompt. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic spot! A "model" hipcamp site. Laura and family are very friendly and their farm animals - goats and chickens - were great background entertainment during our stay. They've provided great amenities; power, secure site, outdoor shower, hot tub, tables and more. We hope to come back and highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed on this very spot in January 2020 and fell in LOVE with it! Being relative newbies to RVing, we wanted something private but also wanted a beach front vacation without spending 5K for a house. So, we decided to start searching. Turns out, there isn't a whole lot of RV hookup spots right on the beach. But, we ran across this lovely privately owned gulf front lot on Cape San Blas in Florida and stayed for a week that January. We loved it so much we tried to book it again in May of that year, but it was of course booked the entire month. So, we booked another spot and headed to the cape in May anyway. We wanted to see our favorite spot again, so we drove by one day and low and behold, it was for sale. We couldn't pass up an opportunity to own something we fell in love with so quickly, so we took the jump, and bought it! And now, we can share it with all of you. Treat yourself to a beach front vacation in your own "home" and enjoy the journey friends. You only live once! GULF FRONT! Yes, you have your own path directly to the beach along with outdoor shower to rinse of your day on the sand and then enjoy the grill and picnic area for your afternoon dinner with your group. This 1/2 acre private property gulf front and equipped with 30/50 amp service, water, sewer, trash pickup, an outdoor patio, grill and misting outdoor shower. Just bring your swimming suits you'll be set. Cape San Blas, FL is one of the most beautiful and laid back places you will visit. This property is located on Cape San Blas and is right on the water (gulf side). The cape bike path you can take all the way to the state park and explore the entire cape and all it has to offer (22 mile round trip bike path). Also, check out kayaking in the bay or horse-back riding on the beach! Salinas Park is just a stone's throw where you can enjoy picnics with the family walk out to the bay or even drive onto the beach (permit required). The sleepy little towns of Port St. Joe and Appalachicola have so many great local restaurants and shops and you will love the laid back chill of these old Florida towns. If you've never taken your crew and camped right on the beach, then this is the place for you. Near Panama City, St. Andrews State Park draws visitors to its white sands and emerald green waters. With the Gulf of Mexico on one side and St. Andrews Bay on the other, it’s a top spot for watersports, especially swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and even surfing. Two fishing piers, a jetty, and a boat ramp provide opportunities for anglers, while two nature trails wind through diverse coastal plants, providing the opportunity to spot some of the migratory birds and butterflies that pass through. You can also look for alligators at the Gator Lake Trail and Overlook. A 60-site campground is situated in the pinewoods near Grand Lagoon.

Tips for snagging a campsite

Reservations can be made at the Florida State Parks website or by phone. Florida residents can make campsite reservations 11 months in advance, while non-residents can make reservations 10 months in advance.
As this is a very popular park, booking in advance is recommended. Florida State Park campsites are almost always in high demand, so move quickly—many experienced Florida campers book their spots on the first day that bookings open up.
If you can’t secure your preferred dates, keep checking. Spots sometimes open up as others’ plans change.

When to go

Summer is the prime season for camping in this part of Florida. If you are planning a summer visit, try to make reservations as far in advance as possible. Otherwise, opting for spring or fall instead promises more availability and fewer crowds. With that said, the park is a great place to visit any time of year and does see many visitors year-round.

Know before you go

Three park stores are open during the summer season (March to Labor Day).

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, rangers host information talks at the campfire circle on Friday evenings.
Water sports equipment, including canoes, kayaks, and snorkeling gear, can be rented in the park.
All pets must be on a six-foot leash and continuously attended. Pets are not allowed on the beach, wetlands, boardwalks, playground, or in any buildings.

Great beach. Great campground. Spots are close together, but plants and trees divide them, making it seem more private. Deer everywhere. A few gators, too.
