Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.
As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming.
Please note that February and March is transition time on the farm when we are planting new pastures and working on projects so photos might be different during those 2 months!
It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. Back in 2014, this was 40 acres of forgotten, overgrown Panhandle woods. Less than a year later, in 2015, we added the neighboring 40 acres — together, the 80 acres of thriving longleaf pine, orchard, and untouched wetlands you get to camp inside of today.
With guidance from the Florida Forest Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS, and a sharp-eyed private forester, we built a management plan to bring this land back to its native state. Twenty-five thousand pines and more sweat equity than we can count later, it's finally ready to share.
Wander walking trails through planted fields alive with deer, turkey, and songbirds. Watch the light shift over quiet wetlands. Fall asleep to real silence — broken only by whip-poor-wills and, occasionally, a tractor.
We're tucked into a quiet corner of the Florida Panhandle, close to Torreya, Three Rivers, Seminole, and Florida Caverns State Parks, plus the Lake Talquin State Forest — a perfect basecamp for paddling, caving, and hiking.
Camping options: two full-hookup sites for RVs or campers, three RV sites with power and water, and one true boondock site — no hookups, but plenty of room for an off-grid, self-sufficient rig.
A few honest notes: this is a working farm, not a manicured resort. During the rainy season, the grass can get a bit long between mowings, and you'll likely see (and hear) tractors and other agricultural activity — always outside quiet hours. If you love land that's alive and working, you'll feel right at home here.

Our three "SWEET TUPELO" R.V. campsites are located on 12 riverfront acres in the northern Panhandle of Florida on the historic Apalachicola River. The name “Sweet Tupelo” is taken from the Tupelo tree that grows exclusively in the floodplains and sloughs along the Apalachicola River. Local bees make their honey with the pollen of these trees creating many unique health and taste benefits found only in this part of the world. When you venture back into civilization, make sure you pick up a jar of Tupelo honey. You won’t be disappointed!

Private campsite in the middle of the city! My family and I were lucky enough to find a four acre urban forest less than two miles from FSU, the Florida Capitol and downtown Tallahassee. And just a mile from midtown! We are welcoming tent campers to come experience camping in an urban forest.
The camping area has a hot water shower and sink, and the main site (#76), is fully outfitted with fire ring, tent pad, fresh water, a picnic table and plenty of hammock trees!
The camp area has space for up to 6 tent campers and 2 cars. All sites share the shower and sink areas and a port-o-potty that is professionally cleaned weekly.
Sprinter style vans (UPDATE) - We successfully had a Sprinter Van on the site and have now started accepting booking for that style van. Due to limitations on space and clearance, we can only allow vans with a max of around 10 1/2' tall and 23' long. This is equivalent to a Sprinter 170. We can not fit RVs or extended wide bodies conversions.
Pets: Pets on leashes are allowed on the property. Guests with aggressive animals will be asked to leave.

We’re a FARMHER owned micro-farm in Northeastern Tallahassee within a few miles from I-10. The farm is a back-to-nature wellness glamping facility, in the city. We believe in enjoying the abundance of nature, with a few creature comforts.
THE FARM- The farm started in the late 1800’s and has remained untouched since 2012, when the family farmhouse burnt. The farm's infrastructure is still present today, and we’ve started to uncover it after 20+ years. Purchased in 2023, Our new farm will provide a place to learn about sustainability as we practice being a good steward of the land.
The backbone of the farm. We aim to serve the growing interest in ECOtourism & AGRItourism, by educating the public with farm tours.
We will practice *Permaculture * Food forest *Low carbon footprint *Regenerative Farming & Rotational Grazing with *HERITAGE animals.

Every acre of the farm is a unique experience and our “special places” create lasting memories. Our favorite is “The Manger”. We plan to restore the old cattle shoot, holding pens and “manger” structure. In the future it will be a historical therapy petting zoo. **WARNING** We are a new WORKING FARM. We are now open to the public but please understand we are working everyday to make improvements. Its not perfect but we think you’ll love it. You will see and hear all the farm sounds! You can pet the goats and we have animal experiences available to bottle feed them. It's always a big hit and makes great photos. KITCHEN- *We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, griddle, stove, utensils, and picnic table. Basic cooking supplies are provided in your unit (oil, salt, pepper, etc) basic cookware, utensils, disposable and washable cups and plates. You are welcome to pick from the garden when its complete. There is also a common area, to eat and hang out. We will soon have a community fire pit for all to enjoy.
BATHHOUSE- In the Homestead area we have a small rustic community bath house with a hot shower and a running toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided. The Primitive Orchard area has cold water faucets and compost toilet. Both bath houses are close to all overnight areas.
CHECK IN/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, riding or just relaxing. Check in time is 2pm or later. Unless you are a returning guest please arrive before 7pm. (ALL late arrivals must be approved ahead of time, unless emergency.) Late arrivals interfere with our chore routine and it’s hard to stop and show you around. Thank you. Feel free to message if you have questions! The herd looks forward to meeting you!!
PARKING- Temporary UNLOADING/LOADING- Parking for one vehicle near site.
Must park in nearby guest parking afterwards. It is for the safety of our animals. We have too many free roaming animals. Thank you for understanding.
BUGS- Please be aware that beginning in mid-May for about six weeks is yellow fly season in north Florida! Mosquitos are around all the time but heavier near wet areas. Note: This is Florida and a rustic farmstay. There are bugs and spiders on the property. One may even end up in the domes or tents. Please understand this before complaining about bugs. I want to make sure everyone knows it happens! We love our domes and tents, but you should know this isn't an apartment in the city :)

Located in the front property of Twisted Trails Off Road Park - Florida. Off- Road park is open on select Saturdays only and is for 4 wheel drive vehicles only. No 4 wheelers or SXS, so it is not noisey and only open during daylight hours.
3 - 30 amp full hook ups available or primitve camp in the planted pines or in open grassy areas. You will have access to running water and a porta potty. There is also a covered area with picnic tables and a fire ring. You must bring your own fire wood.

Really awesome big pull through camp sites. I like the layout. Very easy to get around. Lots of cool activities at the camp site that we didn’t get a chance to do but we will next time. Not too far from the beach and really close to a bunch of springs. I see the vision, this place is already great and they are building it more and better.

Quiet, secluded, and very peaceful! Beautiful piece of property with nice trails to walk on. We had no issues gaining access with a 40' motorhome and a tow behind vehicle. Site had full hookups that were easily accessible. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Jay's property. The campsite is right on the river, providing beautiful views and a very peaceful, quiet atmosphere. It was easy to get in and out with our RV, and the full hookups (FHU) worked perfectly. Jay was an excellent host—very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. The polebarn was in the right place to get out of the rain! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to future Hipcampers looking for a relaxing riverside getaway.

Great campsite. Easy to maneuver around. Dog friendly area, my dogs had a blast!! Clean and well kept. Jay was very accommodating with requests. Definitely a place we will be returning to.

Our stay at the Outside Inn was quiet and peaceful. It was really nice to be surrounded by pine trees and the bathhouse under the pole barn was a welcome amenity to have for tent camping! We didn’t get a chance to explore much of the grounds but got to say hi to the chickens and our dog loved rolling around in the grass :)

Weekend Trip to Goat House Farm
We have stayed here many times and this was our third visit bring friends. So far everyone we have brought has loved it too! Air conditioned sleeping space and a safe place to have a fire that is more quiet than many state parks we have camped at. The goats are precious and very well taken care of. You can tell she loves them all. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Goat House Farm
This is our favorite hip camp in Florida. We bring friends with us and put them up in the cottage because it is swanky rustic! Even our city friends from Atlanta loved it. The bed is super comfy, and it's always clean and welcoming. The farm is snuggled into the forest and you can feel it, it's wonderful. The goats are friendly and know they are loved and you can feel that too. We did learn something new this time: don't wear cut off shorts with strings hanging unless you want even more attention! We highly recommend!

Got there on a 94° day and our camper a/c wouldnt work so had to leave. This place is so perfectly set up for a relaxing, quiet and enjoyable time away from reality. So disappointed we couldnt stay. We tried! We'll definitely be back. Tks again for working with us.

We tested out our new hammocks and it was a success! Moonpie is an incredible working farm… she had us watch the nightly process of milking about 11 goats and 3 cows. We also bottle fed two calves! The goat pen is super cute and the goats are very friendly. There are two very affectionate dogs on the property who kept us safe throughout the night. The farm has delicious treats too, so definitely stop in the store. I love working farm life, especially all of the geese and farm noises. Would absolutely recommend

This was a beautiful stop! Although my encounters with humans was minimal, the Lindsay was very friendly and ready to help in any way she could. It was super easy to get into the spot (you have ACRES of room to get it right!), and a very clean place. I love horses - grew up with them and miss them. But I know people might be concerned with any smells, and you can put that to rest. This place is really kept clean. I walked throughout the 113 acres with my dogs (OH THEY LOVED IT... places to run [note: not fenced. Make sure you have a solid "come" command!] and play) and came across MAYBE two piles of horse poop way, way, way off the beaten paths... Incredibly beautiful trees, blue skies in the daytime, and the night sky was black velvet with diamonds strewn across. OH MY! Peaceful - the only sound I EVER heard were a few horses whinnying from afar and contented nickers as I walked past others. It was fun to see riders, pet a few friendly horses, and love on the miniature horses. No WiFi, but if you want Wi-Fi while you're out there, you aren't paying attention to the important parts of living and traveling. I will return... and hopefully have more days!

We have stayed at Glenn’s camp several times.
Love it and will certainly be back again. You will not regret staying at any of the three camp sites .
Right on River , beautiful sunsets, camp sites are clean, spacious.
Glenn takes care of these wonderfully, if you don’t like this camp , then camping is not for you.
