There are livestock guardian dogs that protect the farm. They sleep lots during the day and patrol at night so they bark lots at night...
We are a REAL WORKING FARM. You can join in on morning feeding or collet eggs. You can watch or help with morning milking!
If you are real adventurous you can help around the farm!!!
You can pitch you tent in the pine forest or in the open area next to the ponds!

Goat House Farm is a 501(c)3 owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible.
As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits. Our primary program is to serve area youth with agricultural education and the opportunities to work with our goats. All proceeds from bookings go toward our programming.
Please note that February and March is transition time on the farm when we are planting new pastures and working on projects so photos might be different during those 2 months!
It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. Private campsite in the middle of the city! My family and I were lucky enough to find a four acre urban forest less than two miles from FSU, the Florida Capitol and downtown Tallahassee. And just a mile from midtown! We are welcoming tent campers to come experience camping in an urban forest.
The camping area has a hot water shower and sink, and the main site (#76), is fully outfitted with fire ring, tent pad, fresh water, a picnic table and plenty of hammock trees!
The camp area has space for up to 6 tent campers and 2 cars. All sites share the shower and sink areas and a port-o-potty that is professionally cleaned weekly.
Sprinter style vans (UPDATE) - We successfully had a Sprinter Van on the site and have now started accepting booking for that style van. Due to limitations on space and clearance, we can only allow vans with a max of around 10 1/2' tall and 23' long. This is equivalent to a Sprinter 170. We can not fit RVs or extended wide bodies conversions.

Back in 2014, this was 40 acres of forgotten, overgrown Panhandle woods. Less than a year later, in 2015, we added the neighboring 40 acres — together, the 80 acres of thriving longleaf pine, orchard, and untouched wetlands you get to camp inside of today.
With guidance from the Florida Forest Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS, and a sharp-eyed private forester, we built a management plan to bring this land back to its native state. Twenty-five thousand pines and more sweat equity than we can count later, it's finally ready to share.
Wander walking trails through planted fields alive with deer, turkey, and songbirds. Watch the light shift over quiet wetlands. Fall asleep to real silence — broken only by whip-poor-wills and, occasionally, a tractor.
We're tucked into a quiet corner of the Florida Panhandle, close to Torreya, Three Rivers, Seminole, and Florida Caverns State Parks, plus the Lake Talquin State Forest — a perfect basecamp for paddling, caving, and hiking.
Camping options: two full-hookup sites for RVs or campers, three RV sites with power and water, and one true boondock site — no hookups, but plenty of room for an off-grid, self-sufficient rig.
A few honest notes: this is a working farm, not a manicured resort. During the rainy season, the grass can get a bit long between mowings, and you'll likely see (and hear) tractors and other agricultural activity — always outside quiet hours. If you love land that's alive and working, you'll feel right at home here.

Our three "SWEET TUPELO" R.V. campsites are located on 12 riverfront acres in the northern Panhandle of Florida on the historic Apalachicola River. The name “Sweet Tupelo” is taken from the Tupelo tree that grows exclusively in the floodplains and sloughs along the Apalachicola River. Local bees make their honey with the pollen of these trees creating many unique health and taste benefits found only in this part of the world. When you venture back into civilization, make sure you pick up a jar of Tupelo honey. You won’t be disappointed!

THE FARM- The farm started in the late 1800’s and has remained untouched since 2012, when the family farmhouse burnt. The farm's infrastructure is still present today, and we’ve started to uncover it after 20+ years. Purchased in 2023, Our new farm will provide a place to learn about sustainability as we practice being a good steward of the land.

KITCHEN- *We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, griddle, stove, utensils, and picnic table. Basic cooking supplies are provided in your unit (oil, salt, pepper, etc) basic cookware, utensils, disposable and washable cups and plates. You are welcome to pick from the garden when its complete. There is also a common area, to eat and hang out. We will soon have a community fire pit for all to enjoy.
BATHHOUSE- In the Homestead area we have a small rustic community bath house with a hot shower and a running toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided. The Primitive Orchard area has cold water faucets and compost toilet. Both bath houses are close to all overnight areas.
CHECK IN/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, riding or just relaxing. Check in time is 2pm or later. Unless you are a returning guest please arrive before 7pm. (ALL late arrivals must be approved ahead of time, unless emergency.) Late arrivals interfere with our chore routine and it’s hard to stop and show you around. Thank you. Feel free to message if you have questions! The herd looks forward to meeting you!!
PARKING- Temporary UNLOADING/LOADING- Parking for one vehicle near site.
Must park in nearby guest parking afterwards. It is for the safety of our animals. We have too many free roaming animals. Thank you for understanding.
BUGS- Please be aware that beginning in mid-May for about six weeks is yellow fly season in north Florida! Mosquitos are around all the time but heavier near wet areas. Note: This is Florida and a rustic farmstay. There are bugs and spiders on the property. One may even end up in the domes or tents. Please understand this before complaining about bugs. I want to make sure everyone knows it happens! We love our domes and tents, but you should know this isn't an apartment in the city :)

We’re a husband‑and‑wife team who love all things outdoors; from quiet mornings with coffee under the trees to evenings around a crackling fire. Our farm is our happy place, and we’re excited to share it with other campers who appreciate nature, open space, and a peaceful getaway.
Embrace the beauty of rural camping on our 40-acre hobby farm, offering a balanced mix of primitive and full-hookup sites. Perfect for campground recreation, a peaceful quiet retreat, or exploring local favorites. Our property invites you to be closer to nature.
On site you can wander through over 20 acres of shaded walking trails, where you can exercise, forage, birdwatch, and enjoy up-close encounters with the wildlife, or visit with our hobby farm residents. We have 8 pigs, 6 goats, 5 dogs, 4 horses, 2 rabbits, 1 donkey and a variety of more than 1000 birds that free range the property. While we are talking about birds, watch the bats take flight at dusk in the open pastures, and once night falls, enjoy the stars, moon, planes and satellites while they keep the skies busy.
Local favorites include Holmes Creek Livery (13 mins away), Falling Waters State Park (15 mins away), Sunshine Riding Stables (24 mins away), Marianna Caverns State Park (40 mins away), Ponce De Leon Springs State Park (40 mins away) and Panama City Beach (45 mins away.)
We have participated in or visited all of these places and can provide you with information, discounts, and more if you are interested in any of these activities during your stay.
We have 2 site options currently: A semi-primitive camping site, with an outhouse, water pump, picnic table and firepit. As well as a site with 50-amp hookup with water sewer and a large, fenced area for your four-legged companions. The full hook up site overlooks a 2-acre pasture that our animals rotate on and is open to BoonDockers Welcome guests.
Our farm is ready for RVs, campers, or off-grid adventurers. We hope to add a Hammocking with the Horses site and a Hike in site in the near future. As well, we will include extras for a small fee like, farm fresh eggs, forage walks, be a farmer for a day, walk a goat and up-close animal encounters. Please stay tuned.

Very nice shaded spot for tent camping, plenty of room and the host was responsive to guide me to the exact spot.
Lots of ants so would recommend keeping all food sealed and in your car or you'll wake up in an ant farm lol.
Beautiful views of nature and sunsets. I would camp here anytime.

I had a wonderful camping experience this weekend. The property was absolutely majestic, peaceful, beautiful, and close enough to home to make it feel like a true hidden gem. It offered the perfect balance of being immersed in nature while still having convenient amenities that made the stay comfortable and easy.
Danny was an excellent host. He was very communicative, accessible, and responsive throughout the experience, which made everything from arrival to settling in seamless. It was clear that thought and care have gone into creating a space where guests can genuinely relax and enjoy the outdoors.
I left feeling refreshed and already thinking about returning. I would absolutely recommend Danny’s property to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained, and convenient camping getaway.

We camped 2 nights with our 35' 5th wheel toy hauler. No problems getting to the property. The site is huge, beautiful, and well-maintained.
We enjoyed the peaceful setting, proximity to town and the caverns, and definitely coffee on the covered patio watching the river roll by.

We had a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp! The setting is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, relaxing, and right on the river. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. You can tell the host really cares about the property, and is making improvements even though it's already a fantastic spot. We loved the quiet atmosphere, the scenic views, and the overall experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful riverside getaway.
