Goat House Farm is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Goat House Farm is a Farmher owned micro-farm in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature's blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits.  It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. To support that endeavor, we sell chicken eggs, specialty cottage goods, honey, and natural goat milk and honey products. We also sell raw goat milk (for pet consumption only, as per Florida law - Master Feed License #ZOO406).

Goat House Farm - Tiny Cottage
The cottage was very comfortable and quiet, set away from the rest of the farm. It had a full kitchen and bathroom. Very relaxing and comfortable bed. The farm was awesome! So many goats, but also a friendly dog, lots of cats, and more! I would recommend staying here, and we would definitely come back again next time we’re in the area

Goat House Farm Glamping
Not really “Glamping”
Our stay at the goat farm was not what I expected. The lady who ran the place was extremely nice and very friendly. There is a lot of goat poop, important for picking the shoes you want to wear. When I hear Glamping, I have a certain expectation: electricity, maybe a fan, flushing toilets and lights inside and a somewhat fancier tent. This was not the case. The toilet is a very basic compost toilet, which consist of a 5 gallon bucket inside a camp toilet that you dump pellets on with lots of flies. Also, there is a confusing maze of pens with goats in them between the camping area and the toilet. There are also an excessive number of roosters and some peacocks, which if you are like me is hard to sleep through. A cacophony of noise went all through the night. I don’t think I slept more than an hour. Also, it was hot and there is no fan and no electrical plug-in even if I had had my own fan. There was a light inside the tent that was battery powered but it did not work. Not sure if the batteries were dead or if it was just broken. She also had told us that she goes to bed at 8 PM and gets up around 4 AM so asking for batteries was really not an option because it was after 8pm when we realized. Also to get to the farm you have to drive down a sand road with extremely large.. craters would be a good word for it. This is primitive camping at best. We left without asking about the buttermilk biscuits we had prepaid for, or the firewood we prepaid for.

Goat House Farm Glamping
Great weekend!
This was our first trip to GHF and it was a wonderful experience! The animals were so loving and my kids had to best time visiting with them (two of the goats shared a name with my sons) running around the pasture where our glamp tent was set up, and playing down at Lake Talquin. We had campfires each night and delicious biscuits and jam for breakfast. We also enjoyed hanging out in the common area and playing Nintendo when it got hotter in the middle of the day. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
