Enjoy the charming fishing village of Carrabelle, Florida. Bayside Camping is a privately owned 100’ x 100’ tract of ocean front property for primitive camping with no utilities. For oceanfront camping with utilities search for Apalachicola Camp with Private Dock on Hipcamp. Take a walk alongside the natural beach and experience the ocean waves at the East Pass a.k.a. The Gateway to the Gulf with a direct view of Dog Island and St. George Island. Carrabelle‘s public beach is about 1 mile away and St. George Island is approximately a 15 minute drive with beautiful beaches and restaurants alongside the ocean. Enjoy the Carrabelle lighthouse tour or catch an airboat ride at Captain Hooks Airboat Excursions in Apalachicola. Boat rentals are available both in Carrabelle and neighboring East Point. Fishing charters are available at Cippio Creek in Carrabelle or East Point. Enjoy local seafood at Carabelle’s Millender’s seafood or enjoy dining out at The Farmer’s Daughter or Fathom’s Steam Room and Raw Bar to name a couple of popular night spots.This is a flat ocean front 100 x 100 ft area all to yourself. The site looks out at Dog Island on the left and St. George Island on the right. It’s also referred to as the East Pass. Located on the bay looking straight out into the ocean. Dolphins visit daily and the waves crashing against the rocks is perfect for a peaceful ocean experience. Bring your pole if you like to fish. 🎣 There have been some nice fish caught from the shore if you check out the photos. The site is a primitive camping site without utilities. RV, tent, or vehicle camping allowed. It is located close to city of Carabelle, grocery store, Dollar General, restaurants, gift shops and the Millender’s seafood market. Check in time: 1:00 pm EST/ Check out: 11:00 am EST. No special check in instructions; just show up at 1:00 pm or after and enjoy your stay! DO NOT LEAVE TRASH IN THE FIRE PIT. 😀 Carrabelle public beach has public waste cans for trash disposal 1 mile East. Park your RV or pitch your tent and enjoy the sounds and sites of the ocean. Watch the dolphins. Fishing charters are available as well as boat rentals. Carrabelle public beach is 1 mile approximately from the campsite headed east on Highway 98 on the right side of the road complete with restroom facilities, picnic tables, and waste cans for trash removal. It is also pet friendly beach. 😀🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺 St. George Island is just 15 or so minutes away heading east across the bridge. The Apalachicola Forrest is close by for nature hikes and bike trails. Carrabelle has the Crooked River Lighthouse that is open to the public for tours. Enjoy the historic sites that Carrabelle has to offer such as the Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum or the Carrabelle History Museum. There are many charter boats available to book for fishing trips as well as airboat tours that are available in the nearby area. You can also go horseback riding on the beach in Port St. Joe if that’s on your wish list. ❤️

My family and I love this spot so much we came back for our 2nd trip. I highly recommend Fathom's Restaurant while you're there! The public beach was very nice to visit for a day. The tide was very very low on our last day and it was so awesome to be able to walk out and explore. This visit we saw SO many dolphins in the bay. There were jellyfish, sting rays, crabs near the campsite and it was wonderful to watch them. At the public beach a group of manatees come in the water so close to shore too!

You can't beat the view.! We actually saw manatees coming up for air in front of the spot. And a great sunrise. The lot however was a little garbagey. Had to pickup dog poop right away. And there was various trash around. Was concerned how close (like right on) the highway coastal road but the traffic significantly died down in the evening and was maybe a car every 5 mins in the night. Be forewarned the back in is TIGHT. I was in a campervan so it was no big deal but if you have a long rig backing in is going to be down right dangerous as you'll need to block very fast moving traffic around a blind curve. Also owner please get rid of the old obviously never going to work again water pump. Hated to have to look at that from the back of my van.

Love this spot! My dog and I stayed here while passing through the area, and it didn’t disappoint. Great location right on the water with stunning sunsets. I was initially worried about traffic noise but it wasn’t a problem overnight. Loved all the space and listening to the waves all night. Such a beautiful area and I would definitely book again.

This site had the most beautiful view of St George Island sound! Directions were perfect, site is level and stable. If the view is important to you, I highly recommend this to you. Plus, at low tide, you can walk the beach for at least 1/4 a mile. The only negative is traffic noise since it's right on a busy 2-lane hwy.

My dream to camp on the beach has been met!! Me and my 3 pups had a grand Christmas holiday. Yes, 98 is close to the campsite, but who cares if you camp on the beach! The best part is no one else camp near you. The area is what I call “old Florida”!! No high rises and not swarming with people. I’ll be back

Beautiful sunrise!!!! This camp is everything it says. 5 miles to amenities, and you have the whole place to yourself. Aside from a little traffic noise in the evening can’t beat it.

My family and I loved this spot! My husband said we will probably be putting it on the list to visit every year. Recent got a conversion van and we let the kids tent camp. If you can live without amenities I highly recommend this place. We loved when people would honk as they drove by. Previous campers left glass bottles in the fire pit (lame) and burned wood with nails-we did pick up any nails/trash we found. The tide went down at night and we got to see wild hermit crabs, tiny shrimps, and crabs. Dolphins were in the bay during the day too. Lovely spot and cant wait to come back!

Primitive Roadside Paradise

We loved our time at our bayside hipcamp. Amanda was fantastic with communication and the site was all to our own. Of course there was a bit of roadside traffic between Carrabelle and Eastpoint, but that highway noise was expected. We enjoyed the occasional honk from passerby's acknowledging our little slice of beach paradise camp. Perfectly timed trip for a short drive to the St. George Island Brewfest added to the weekend. Without utilities, this was our first full primitive-style test for seasoned from-the-car campers. We added extra water, a portable shower, and a portable commode to our gear list and everything was wonderful. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets along with soo much wildlife passing by (Pelicans, eagles, osprey, other birds, dolphins, stingrays, conch-like sea snails, other fish and even a friendly lizard here and there). We'll be back with friends next time!

This location worked out very well for what we needed. They had a fire pit. It's literally on the ocean in the Bayside, which was very nice. It was very easy to find. Will definitely stay ithere again.

Amanda's Land was a great spot to unplug. We setup a tent, umbrella and long-line for my dog! It was a bit windy upind setting up and taking down but was otherwise perfect weather! Would recommend bringing beach shoes if you want to get in the water (there were some super sharp rocks) The water sounds covered up the highways sounds for the most part, but it didn't bother me since I knew what I was booking. We saw dolphins, my dog loved it. The fire pit was great!

This spot is okay for a one night stop, but not suitable for staying longuer with kids. The road is pretty noisy and the beach is dirty and hard to access. There were also lots of dog poop on the ground. Backing in this spot is also pretty tricky... It is over priced for having no service plus it isn't clean.

Difficulty backing into driveway with rough ground for dog walking, no easy access to beach area around spot but beautiful sunset and sunrise!!! I know you want to sell, but spruce it up a little and it’ll be a gem!!

This spot is exactly as advertised - an empty lot with an amazing view!! Nice fire pit made for a great spot to cook dinner while watching the sunset and the full moon rise. A big wind meant we really didn’t hear the traffic at all.

That's what was a fantastic private spot the park for the night. I loved walking on the little beach, not a swimming spot I don't think. Pelicans and other birds say on top of the piers and pillars nearby as the sun went down and came up. There was quite a bit of fog in the morning and the fire pit was a wonderful bonus... The road noise didn't bother us. The site was clean. Even though there are other stealthy places to park on the water, it was comforting knowing you would not be kicked out overnight. Would definitely stay here again.
