This was a great option for us! The host was super nice, the area was clean, and we had everything we needed! Would return 100%! Be aware, however, you will have to use your own bathroom/shower on your rig. (there is onsite sewage/water/electric, but no bathhouse) Also, no onsite laundry. Otherwise, we enjoyed it!

RV site was nice with stone pad. We had water and electric hook up and were able to use one of his dump stations before we left. It was quiet at night and about 8 miles from a cute beach 🏖️. Definitely had a country feel being off a dirt road.

The site is beautifully furnished with everything you need. The owners are super friendly and helpful—and it was great for us that they spoke German. We can definitely recommend them.

What a wonderful Hipcamp!! Nicely maintained. Quiet at night and beautiful sky ay night. Kai and Lisa were wonderful hosts!!! So helpful and friendly!! I was in site 1 and thoroughly enjoyed the full hook ups and deck! Will definitely come again!! Thanks so much Kai and Lisa for making Roxie and I feel so welcome!!

When we arrived the site was not equipped with full hook ups as stated on hipcamp. When i asked about the full hook ups she stated our site didnt have them. Took her 5 minutes to go in and change the description on the website. I have a copy of my original booking which says full hook up at all sites. They did offer a dump station which we had to unhook another guest and have a 25 ft sewer line and zig zag the rig to get to it. We didnt even attempt it. There was no patio either which was stated on the website.The host never greeted me. I had to ask questions through email. His home was on site. Barely any room at site. Couldn't even put chairs out. Slammed up againt a fence. They had boondockers parked in the driveway impossible to leave when we wanted. Saw Had to ask their guests to move. Extremely difficult to get in and out of. We were in site 3 with 30ft trailer with tow vehicle. 45 ft total. I left a small bag of trash at site I had no idea where the trash was. Didn't feel welcome or inviting, packed in like sardines. Oh and goat heads everywhere!!! In the end felt deceived and taken advantage of.

We were looking forward to visiting, but when our travel plans changed weeks ago, I cancelled the reservation on the app.
The app did not work, I’m not sure if the host was notified and I was expecting a refund

Kai and Lisa were very wonderfully accommodating hosts! Their community was devastated during the hurricane so the beaches were not available for swimming. However, the birdwatching was wonderful! They recommended multiple other options that we were able to enjoy. We chose Cedar Key Island and the 2nd Street Cafe (Steemers) where the seafood was excellent! We wlook forward to our next stay!

This was our 2nd weekend spent at Kai's land. We had originally requested site 2 but there was someone else already booked in for that site, so we were moved to site 3. This is also a good site but doesn't have a sewer hookup but were still able to dump at a hookup on the property when needed. Overall, this is a fabulous location, very remote and close to the gulf. We fell in love with the area during our first trip and are looking to move into the area. Kai is very responsive and flexible, and we highly recommend this location as a place to get away, relax, unwind and enjoy the quite vibe of the gulf coast. Even though this is scalloping season in the Big Bend area and the "busy season" it is still fairly quiet and laid back and we love it. The short drive to Adams beach (not really much of a beach but an awesome estuary) is fantastic for the sunset view over the Gulf of Mexico. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the campground. Everything was set up very nicely, it was very clean and spacious with lots of privacy and Kai was an amazing host! Had lots of fun snorkeling for scallops at Hagen Cove park! We hope to be back soon.

A small family run mini campground, 3 sites I think.
Full hook up at a reasonable price
Clean and tidy, we ended up staying two nights because of the weather

This place is clean and well maintained. Not suitable for large rigs. We have a 26 ft 5th wheel and had a difficult time parking. One camper had to move his truck and another had to put his awning in so we could park. He also told us he was woke up at 6am and had to move his rig to let someone else out. Not a well thought out arrangement.

Kai’s property was easy to find, well-maintained, neat & tidy with care of ownership. Kai & family were so friendly & available on site, they took care of all guests so well! We bicycled to Adam’s Beach (gorgeous sunset), explored other beaches & waterside spots; Marathon gas station with basic groceries was just up the road. Thanks so much Kai & Lisa, we loved our stay & would recommend to others

We had a great stay at FloridaBlueSky! The site was easy to hookup to and all sites are full hookup! We were able to walk over to the Beach Bar for karaoke which was a blast! The two nearby beaches are about 10 minutes away from the camp and both are great as well!
