Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run. Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

With guidance from the Florida Forest Service, FWC, IFAS, NRCS, and a sharp-eyed private forester, we built a management plan to bring this land back to its native state. Twenty-five thousand pines and more sweat equity than we can count later, it's finally ready to share. Wander walking trails through planted fields alive with deer, turkey, and songbirds. Watch the light shift over quiet wetlands. Fall asleep to real silence — broken only by whip-poor-wills and, occasionally, a tractor. We're tucked into a quiet corner of the Florida Panhandle, close to Torreya, Three Rivers, Seminole, and Florida Caverns State Parks, plus the Lake Talquin State Forest — a perfect basecamp for paddling, caving, and hiking. Camping options: two full-hookup sites for RVs or campers, three RV sites with power and water, and one true boondock site — no hookups, but plenty of room for an off-grid, self-sufficient rig. We had the most amazing stay at Lucky U Ranch! Robin and Mike are incredible hosts who genuinely care about their guests and have created such a peaceful, welcoming place. The property is quiet, secluded, gated, and feels very safe—exactly what we were looking for. We needed air for our camper tires during our stay, and they were kind enough to bring over an air compressor to help us out without hesitation. The ranch is full of friendly animals, including goats, pigs, miniature horses, horses, donkeys, turkeys, and ducks, which made our stay even more special. There are marked walking trails, and it’s incredibly dog-friendly, making it perfect for traveling with pets. We even got a tour of their ranch which was awesome! The amenities were fantastic, especially for RVers. We had full hookups, access to clean showers, potable water, and a cozy community pavilion with a coffee bar. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up. It’s easy to see why Lucky U Ranch was named one of Hipcamp’s Top 50 campgrounds in the U.S. We loved every minute of our week here and can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a quiet escape with wonderful hosts, beautiful scenery, and plenty of animals to love, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I enjoyed the option of the cabin as far as the two different rooms the four bunks and then the one right in front because my husband snores and so I had an option to go sleep in one of the lower bounds underneath the kids long so I could get some rest. I appreciate how well they made sure that me and my service animal were welcomed. The individual that helped me out the entire time I was there I can't remember her name but she was pretty cool Nice we had a community party that she ran that had hot dogs and cookies and other things and chips and that was really really nice of them. The pool was clean Love the pool the kids enjoyed it very much.

Quiet, secluded, and very peaceful! Beautiful piece of property with nice trails to walk on. We had no issues gaining access with a 40' motorhome and a tow behind vehicle. Site had full hookups that were easily accessible. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing experience. Victoria and Dan were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Victoria is an absolute sweetheart and a fantastic host. She was so pleasant and friendly, and even gave my daughters some snacks. The kids had a blast playing in the pool, and Dan was nice enough to find some swim floats for them. They also gave us great local tips on where to go, and so much more. It was a truly lovely experience!

The location was small and cozy. Every spot has a beautiful view of the water. We were lucky enough to get a spot right along the water's edge. The pier was perfect. Our son had a great time fishing. The staff was amazing, sweet and attentive. They had a few quaint little spots to sit and relax. The bathrooms and showers were very clean! We took our Husky and so the mini dog park was perfect to let her off leash for a bit as she's used to roaming a big property. Can't wait to go back.

Sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico are hard to beat.

This was our second time staying here in the last month or so. It’s a phenomenal campground! It is well kept, has an amazing view, the sites have plenty of room to back in easily, etc. the pool area is really nice and the main office area has bathrooms and laundry and whatnot and it’s extremely clean. Though it’s not a paved lot, it’s still nice… and for the price??? You can’t beat it. Sorry to the guy who keeps up the landscape, I came into the lot a little faster than I realized… my bad! My idle moves my truck faster than most. Anyway, we’ll be back. Great place, good people, very family friendly… this is NOT a party campground!

We loved our stay at this perfect location. We have a 34ft camper. The site made it very easy to set up even at 2am after driving all day. We had plenty of room for us and our three miniature schnauzers. The walk to the beach was short and taking a wagon was quite easy. This part of the beach is beautiful and mostly families and couples. We would definitely visit again.

Panhandle and Big Bend

White-sand beaches and laid-back beach towns fringe the Gulf of Mexico in Florida’s north-western county. Central Florida

South Florida

The vast Everglades National Park is the star attraction of the Gulf Coast, where boating, biking, and canoeing tours will take you through the UNESCO-listed wetlands. Look out for manatees and American alligators along the way. Over on the Atlantic Coast, the buzzing beach resorts of Miami and Fort Lauderdale draw sun-seekers year-round.
