Welcome to Free to Be Acres. An entire private acre, nestled in the beautiful N Central Florida forest. In spring country you are free to unwind and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Be greeted by a family of deer while enjoying your morning coffee or tea, listen to the barred owls talking to one another in the evenings. You will have easy access to both the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe rivers just a short 5 minute drive from your campsite. Encounter manatees, spotted gar and a multitude of different species of turtles as you float down the crystal clear Ichetucknee river. Spend the day boating or fishing on the Santa Fe or world famous Suwannee River. Just 15 minutes from well known Ginnie Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs, Rum Island Spring, Ichetucknee Spring State Park, Peacock, Little River, Royal and more. We offer 30/50amp electric and water on site as well as a port o let that has weekly scheduled cleanings. Dumping of black and gray tanks can be done on your way out of town (within a 1/4 mile) for a nominal fee of $15.With our super easy pull thru/around site there will be no arguing backing up your RV!! Come enjoy our peaceful, private, 1 acre campsite in spring country. With 3 rivers, dozens of springs and a handful of state parks all within 15 min, there is no better place to come and unwind with family and friends. We provide a picnic table and fire pit to make those nights even more special. Well behaved pets allowed but must be attended to by guests. The neighborhood is golf-cart and UTV friendly and has lots of dirt roads to explore so bring the toys! We offer electric, water and a toilet at our site. There are two campgrounds with dumping options within 1/4 mile for a nominal fee. Camp host April is owner/operator of Paradise Paddle Adventures. She offers guided kayak/paddle board tours and rentals for an additional fee. Contact her directly for that. Area Springs and Recreation attractions include the following springs and state parks. Great campsite for paddlers

We were extremely pleased with this camping spot. We had 3 large tents set up it could have held more. We had access to fresh water, electricity and a port-a-potty. This was a paddling trip for us, so it was super convenient to paddle the Santa Fe River and the Itchetucknee (which was one of the best paddles I’ve experienced) from this location. When my ISUP sprung a leak, April was very accommodating and rented me a kayak immediately. She was always quick in answering my questions and just made this trip so easy for us. Thank you, April!!

Great spot to unwind!

We had a wonderful stay at Free To Be Acres! The campsite is right across from Ichetucknee Springs State Park, where we enjoyed a day kayaking down the river. April was very friendly and offers guided tours and shuttle services, in case you want to get out and explore. We took our dog who enjoyed the fresh air and laying in the sun. The camp site was peaceful with plenty of shade and a nice fire pit. We saw a lot of deer, birds, and other wildlife during our stay. We highly recommend this April's campsite for your next adventure!

Best Florida camping experience

This campsite is amazing! 5 minutes to the georgous Itchetuknee springs and other outdoor attractions. April is a great host , very attentive and always available. My husband and I had a lovely weekend here, we can't wait to come back.

Free to Be Acres

We had an amazing stay at Free to be Acres. The host April is very welcoming and the site itself is great! We loved having so much space to ourselves, the fire pit and picnic table were very convenient, and we fell in love with the area! We highly recommend booking a kayak tour with April for the Ichetucknee- she has access to a private part of the River through her neighborhood and it was there that we had the best manatee sightings. We hope to make it back one day!
