This was a quiet, safe community where we really enjoyed staying for the month. The site is a very large site on the corner, big enough for our 35" camper with slide outs plus jeep, and even big enough for my son's full-size truck when he came to visit. Lots of recreation activities available with the site 2 pools, beach access, pickleball, mini golf, tennis, basketball, shuffleboard,etc, along with great Wi-Fi. Dog friendly community and great off-leash pet beach 5 miles down the road. Really enjoyed the stay!

Not the site we were in. Maybe other sites are better but this one is to open with no where to sit outside unless you want to look into someone window or the fence and road. We left a day earlier because of that. I did like that was full hookup though.

What a charming little Island...Shelly was very friendly, and the place is beautiful and well taken care of, but... this is not a real camping spot. In fact when you get there the gentleman at the gate let's you know there is no camping. What it is, is a very quiet, private, and safe place to stay. Bathrooms were very clean. Everyone in the community was friendly and we had a great time on the Island.

This is a great community! The staff were super helpful and the area was clean and tidy. Getting into the space was a little tight with a 32 ft bumper pull camper but the layout of the neighborhood made it easy to navigate the streets. Overall a great experience!

Nettles Island 1120 River Front

Very strange layout and management. Every address is Nettles Blvd and I am sure someone was drunk when they numbered the houses and lots. Hopefully an ambulance, police ,or firetruck isn’t needed. There are no street signs and the numbers aren’t necessarily in order. The advertisement for our rental was listed as Riverfront but there is no such street. Even after complaining it was still listed as Riverfront!! Too expensive. I will not recommend this neighborhood.

First time to Nettles Island! Our campsite was in the portion closer to the main road and beach. Really nice spot! Private too. Even though the paved level spot is between two units, there is greenery on the side, so you feel like you have privacy. The spot was very quiet. Short walk to the beach and front pool, which is right by the beach. The other pool is also walkable. That one has two hot tubs. There is a small store and restaurant on Nettles. Store makes sandwiches and sells hot coffee, as well as anything else you might need. Shuckers is in walking distance if you want to go to a restaurant/bar for night life. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing view! Lots to do. Loved the pool and strolling / biking the neighborhood. Beautiful houses and properties, friendly people, felt safe and a great place for kids. We didn’t use the pickle ball, tennis, or shuffle board courts but there were a few people on them. Very impressed with the whole place. We will definitely be back!

This is a great place to stay. Lots of activities included. You can plan a stay here and have so much to do! Two pools on location, beach access, a restaurant and more! The only negative review is the check in process. It is not explained that you need your vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and, if you bring pets, you need their vaccination log. You must go to the front office w all info in hand. Overall, we will happily stay here again! Beautiful resort. I sent a message to the owner and got no response, but the front office was accommodating at check in.
