Our family rented out 2 yurts for our sons birthday and we had an amazing time! Amanda was attentive and kind (as was her sweet fur baby, Bella) Our yurt was clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed to make our "glamping" trip a success and we look forward to making more memories there soon!

The site feels safe. Their trails are nice and shaded. It’s easily accessible, pet friendly and has FHU.

The truck ends at 23 ft. with walking space in front of the truck. Behind the truck, there is about 15 more ft. for a total of 38 ft. 35 max recco'd.

Weekend Trip to Near Downtown and the Beach!

Rae was a super host. Met us shortly after we set up and provided a booklet of things to do and eat in the area. Driveway is a little difficult to back into and sewer connection in under the camper but was a great place to spend the day/night. 30 amp electric worked great. I would not recommend for a large camper as our 26’ just fit. Would definitely stay again.

Glamping in Paradise is a gem! The site is well appointed; we were surprised to find many amenities and thoughtful touches. Our stay endured chilly nights, warm days, and a quick downpour - no worries here with the fireplace, A/C and fan, and thick tent. The lights outside were so cozy at night and we enjoyed looking at all the plants. Host was communicative and quick to respond to app messages during our stay. A unique and enjoyable camping (glamping) experience!

4 nights at 30A Bay Hideaway

We've been sojourning here for almost five years. We drive our camper from Kansas City to the Everglades for the winter and stop here at the Bay Hideaway to and from to visit our six grandchildren that live in the area. It is a perfect Hideaway, with no 'stranger danger', a huge lawn to play on, a shallow bay for the kids to have fun catching crabs, a very long dock, a tree house, not to mention the quiet and the gorgeous views. I love the porch, and the trees and marsh for the excellent birdwatching. In the four days we were here this visit we saw over 15 types of birds including a Clapper Rail, a Bald Eagle, and lots of shore birds. Crystal and Nathan have been helpful and a pleasure to communicate with... very highly recommend staying here!

This was the best campsite that I've ever been to. The campground is beautiful and secluded. The interior of the tent is super cozy, I slept better there than in my own bed at home! The owners put so much thought and consideration into amenities that make the stay so much nicer. The kitchenette is a super nice addition, with multiple cooking utensils for use with the charcoal grill. Not to mention the owners themselves were super kind and accommodating. I can't wait until I book another trip here in the future!

We got to our campsite pretty late and after dark and it was very easy to find ! The welcome packet they provided was soo extremely helpful and we added on firewood to our booking and that made getting set up super easy. Having electric and water was also great ! The washhouse was incredibly clean and well stocked and I had a great shower with hot water. Would recommend to anyone who needs a safe, clean place to camp. There are donkeys and other wild life as well as fellow campers dogs that made sleeping a little tricky as it was a bit loud so i would recommend packing ear plugs if u are a restless sleeper.

6 nights at Gateway Trails

Like the title says, this is a perfect place for a getaway or extended stay. I stayed in a tent during my stay & loved it. I picked this site for the electric & water hookups, which also makes ideal for anyone with a small camper. The (seemingly brand new) bathroom facilities are a 30 second walk away… which includes very well kept full bathroom, hot shower, & coin operated washing machine & dryer. They even have a soda/snacks pay-as-you-go honor system general store. I had access to WiFi from the site too. I spent most of my days relaxing by the fire in the comfy Adirondack chairs. The site is nestled in the back corner of the property, which gave me all the privacy I wanted, but close enough to all of the amenities that Jay & Suzette (owners) have to offer. Speaking of which, they are really lovely, down to earth people… they’ll make sure you get what you need with timely communication, yet they don’t intrude on your camping experience. All in all, the whole experience was great: peaceful, relaxing, & yet still had all the creature comforts of modern day living within reach if I wanted. Great spot, great owners, & an overall great trip.

We have a nice little RV pad on the back of our coastal home. Situated on a little bayou that opens out into Choctawhatchee Bay. Crab Island is only a 10 minute boat ride away. You would have access to our small dock and there is a neighborhood boat ramp less than one hundred feet away. This is a great place for kayaks, wave runners, and small boats. If you don't have a boat, we can set up any kind of trip you want. We are all licensed captains and own multiple Crab Island businesses. So we can set up charters for you on the following boats: Sailing trip on a restored 1963 Pearson Ensign. Can accommodate up to 6 people. This is a classic sailboat that is easy to sail and easy to learn to sail. A restored 1966 Boston Whaler that is perfect for couples looking for a sunset cruise, etc. Can accommodate up to 6 people but it perfect for 2 -4. We can go to Crab Island, look for dolphins or find our own private island beach. Waverunner tours. We can take you on a guided wave runner tour looking for dolphins and private beaches. You will drive one wave runner while our licensed captain guided you on another one. Insurance does not allow us to rent these out solo but there are many good vendors in the area to do that. Inshore flats skiff targeting redfish and trout on light spinning gear and fly rods. This boat is best fished with no more than 3 people. Rates: $150 per hour for less than 3 hours $500 for half day (4 hours) $600 for 6 hours The neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fort Walton with large oaks and magnolias providing plenty of shade for bike riding and walking. Downtown Fort Walton with its shops and quaint restaurants is only a mile away. Didn't bring a bike, we have 2 you can use. During the summer, there are fireworks every Wednesday night that are viewable from this spot. The site comes with water/sewer and 30 Amp hookup. Florala State Park is close enough to several major areas that you can come down here for a short-term getaway if need be, though campers are of course more than welcome. White sand beaches and water that has been deemed some of the cleanest in Alabama, creates a real allure for fishers and swimmers alike. Birders can keep an eye out for osprey and bald eagles, or just hike the beautiful winding trails. Swing by a historic Victorian mansion on your way out, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many Southern-style family restaurants. With a great location for a great getaway, what's not to like?
