We currently have primitive tent camping that can easily fit 4-5 tents or hammock camping.
Both options sit alongside Sofkahatchee creek. We have 15 acres of untouched forest to wonder through and help you reconnect with mother nature. It’s my favorite spot for meditation and grounding.
The sky is amazingly dark around here and stargazing would be at the top of my list of things I love about the property.
This area is full of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, turkey, possums, armadillo, snakes, and even bears. I haven’t personally ran in to any bears but they have been sited.
So, who knows what you will befriend while in the wild.
The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful.

There are so many little towns near by. Our little town of Wetumpka is only 9 miles down the road. It was featured on HGTV's Hometown Takeover in 2021, was featured in the movie Big Fish and is a picture perfect town, with many locally owned shops and restaurants. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak/canoe (coosariveradventures.com), launch your boat or fish year round at Gold State Park which also has a fantastic play area for kids with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill.
We are 9 miles from Lake Jordan and 11 miles from Lake Martin.
Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 25 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. You can tour the French and American Forts or the Mississippian Indian Mound site, or just relax and take a walk along the trails.

Just 15 minutes east of us is Swayback Bridge https://www.riverregionmtb.org/swayback-bridge-trail. There are five loop trials available, ranging from 1 miles to 11.2 miles. You can hike or bike them. The bridge is 290 feet long and goes over Lake Jordan.
Wind Creek Casino Wetumpka is 10 miles and Montgomery location is only 16 miles from our property, if you want to chance your luck with some gaming.
We are 20 miles from Montgomery, which is jam packed with civil rights historical sites, museums, a zoo, fabulous restaurants, a riverboat cruise on the Alabama River, a sip and cycle pedal boat cruise

The property is 75 feet wide and stretches 210 feet back from the road. Shaded with trees, flat, plenty of room for pitching a tent. The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions.
There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. Basically a quiet place to relax, in an undeveloped neighborhood, and pretend you are in a backcountry tent site, 6 minutes from Dollar General :) War Eagle!

Come stay at our charming little woodland paradise. We are located on 2.55 acres, in the country and live on-site, so if you need anything, please let us know. There are security cameras located throughout the property. The gazebo, down the hill from the house, offers a wonderful place to eat, read, drink coffee or play games. The firepit is perfect for those chilly nights. sure all fires are put out and all tiki torches are extinguished before going to sleep. We have dogs bedsering trees, bushes and wildflowers scattered among the property. If you come at the right time of year, you'll see all the beautiful blooms. We also have wild blackberries, blueberry bushes and scuppernong vines. Feel free to forage on those while you're with us. There is a lot of wildlife you could potentially see while staying here such as squirrels, chipmunks, beautiful birds of all kinds, lots of butterflies, owls, red tailed hawks, armadillos, racoons and even foxes. After a heavy rain, you will hear our small creek trickling.
We have unlimited tent camping sites, with access to a water hose only. They are located down the hill, to the back of our property. Our one back in pad is located . 30 foot maximum length rig. We also have one boondocking gravel pad available, with no hookups, that is located across the driveway from our house. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 6am. Absolutely no discharging of firearms allowed at any time. Alcohol is permitted, for those 21 and older, as long as the noise level and behavior don't become a nuisance. There will be no tolerance for use of illegal drugs. Dogs are allowed as long as they aren't aggressive and not allowed to roam outside of our property. Please be sure to clean up after them.

I was in tent space 2. We slept in the back of our truck with a camper shell, but if I'd had a tent, I don't think that particular tent space would have been large enough. The other tent spaces were bigger, just not this one. Other than that, we had a great relaxing time. We were the only campers there, so we had the run of the place. The shower system, pit toilet, and outdoor kitchen were so cool. The place was beautiful. The pond had a fountain on a timer so we sat by the fire overlooking the pond, listening to the fountain, frogs, and crickets. We saw several deer running through the campground and woke up to seeing a fox across the pond and a pileated woodpecker. They even had WiFi and 2 TVs, but I didn't watch them. It's not a state funded campground so the amenities were homemade, but I thought they were very smartly engineered and super cool. The outdoor kitchen even had a toaster over and a microwave. I will definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our stay. This place was so quiet we wondered if we had lost our hearing at times! Everything was nicely maintained and convenient. Tent campers may wish to bring a water filter as the water tastes a little funky. Such a lovely piece of property- hiked the trail several times. This was our first visit but not our last!

Great place to camp. We will be back. This property is dedicated exclusively to camping both tent and RV. You are not staying at someone's house like other HipCamps. The owners were very nice and were on grounds conducting improvements. When messaged directly through the App, I received prompt responses. This property is close to the Talladega National Forest and loads of jeeping trails we enjoyed. Relaxing in the peaceful beauty in camp was nice also.
