Pretty setting. Enjoyed a quiet evening, nice breeze and night sky. Too warm for a fire but there was a supply of wood near the fire circle. Prompt and clear response to request for help finding the place. Signage on the property was helpful.

Exactly what I needed. RV slots were clearly marked and the road to get to the spaces was easily traversed (2wd no problem). Restroom was very clean. Host was quick to respond and very helpful

Lovely open land provides views of the surrounding rural areas. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well-maintained flush toilet & adjacent shower stall!
Coming in after dark the entrance was a bit hard to find. It is on the other side of Lee Cty Rd 175 from the houses. There is a post with a white sign with vertical numbers ‘7901’ where the two cross-field roads start - go slow :)

North Campground Pondside Camping
This was my first trip using HipCamp! The host/owner Sam was very friendly welcoming when I arrived and gave me a tour. He responded quickly to questions I had. We all had Verizon cell service and had no issues with calls and data usage. I don't know about other carriers. His farm is beautiful and huge! The weather was perfect for us in mid April, we had dispersed tent camping and found a spot by the lake in the shade. There was plenty of free firewood for us to use. Sam had mentioned they are planning to add more fire rings to the property soon. The bathroom shack was clean with a flush toilet and running water and the outdoor shower was refreshing. There's an outdoor water hydrant for fresh potable water by the shower shack for the primitive campers to use. The sunsets were stunning each night and our dogs loved running around the open fields. We took a walk around the whole property to soak it all in. The Dollar General 5 minutes away was great for quick re-supply runs. We were saying his property would be great for a small music festival! We will likely be back in the fall.

We had an amazing stay here with our German shepherd. He was able to run around with another camper’s dog & had so much fun! We found a nice level spot for our tent on top of the car & enjoyed the sunset with smores. Firewood was provided, which was really nice! The bathroom was clean & had running water, we didn’t use the shower but there was one. Samuel was responsive when we messaged about firewood. We had no problem finding it either!

I can’t say enough good things about Gullatte Acres. I work remote and live in my airstream with my dog. We originally came here because it was close to a friend I was visiting, but we ended up liking it so much that we extended our stay—twice as long as we’d planned!
Sam and his family are truly wonderful hosts—always responsive, friendly, and willing to lend a hand with anything you might need. Their hospitality made the stay feel easy and welcoming from day one.
The property itself is peaceful and full of charm. There’s a small pond with boats you’re welcome to use, firewood and fire pits, and they have fresh eggs you can buy. My dog absolutely loved being able to run off-leash and I loved how quiet and relaxing the setting was. The sunrises and sunsets here are absolutely stunning.
It's about a 25 minute drive to Columbus, Opelika/Auburn, and Chewacla State Park. I spent most weekends hiking, running, or mountain biking somewhere nearby. If you’re into mountain biking, you’ll love the area—there are tons of great trails all within a short drive.
All in all, Gullatte Acres is a gem. Whether you're just passing through or looking for a longer-term spot, it’s hard to beat the peace, nature, and hospitality you’ll find here. We'll definitely be back sometime!

We loved our full hookup RV spot at Samuel’s land. Checkin couldn’t have been simpler, we got in after dark and still found our spot easily, and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and the clear night sky. Quiet as can be, very peaceful. And the flushable toilet and shower are a nice addition too. We’d definitely recommend the spot, and will remember it’s there if we make our way out that way again.

We stayed for a night at the North Campground (site 8) and were extremely happy! Directions to the campground were clear, but we had a bit of trouble locating our site (sites 7 and 8 share a post with 5 and 6, but their numbers are posted on the opposite sides of the posts so we did not see them). A quick phone call to Samuel (host) and he was down in a flash with his family to make sure we were all set!
You have views for days! Extremely peaceful and quiet. We did not see the toilets or showers since we had a camper and did not need those amenities. Full hookups were very appreciated.
Our camper is 34 feet and we had no trouble driving the dirt road to the camping area or getting out.

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Samuel and Gullatte Acres was absolutely perfect. Samuel was super friendly and responsive to all messages and calls. The property was amazing!! The dispersed site we stayed at was far off of the road and over some rolling hills. We had plenty of space, even with neighbors. We brought our own "facilities" so we did not use theirs. I would most certainly stay here again the next time we are in the area.

This place was absolutely delightful. The location is private, scenic, serene, and secluded without being too far from town. There’s an outdoor heated shower, an indoor toilet, and tons of space. Whether you’re local or just passing through, I would very highly recommend.

This was exactly what we were looking for when trying to find a spot to tent camp. The Northside camp sites were in a clearing that was well maintained and the bathhouse was clean. The lake is just a short walk through the trees, and our host was very gracious to bring firewood directly to us and offer to re locate the fire pit from the lake to our spot. There was only one other occupant the first night and we had the clearing to ourselves the rest of the time. We brought our dog and it was a great experience for him. You can have your dog off leash, but ours was in a line as there are deer and we’re still working on self control and recall.
Do be warned, you are in the country. There are deer, raccoons and opossum and we did have two coyotes venture pretty close to our tent, so be aware of your surroundings, especially if you have pets or children with you and be responsible with your food. Keep it locked up and clean up nightly and you shouldn’t have an issue.
I felt like we found a real prize of a camp site and am already looking to come back when we can. It’s perfect to see stars and just enjoy some quiet evenings and unwind from life.

We RV Camped with friends in the North Campsites. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet and the dark sky. Easy to find, clean and maintained campsites with dull hook up. The dogs loved the off leash fields.

Awesome place. Plenty of room to spread out. Easy access to an outdoor shower and enclosed toilet. I personally enjoyed walking around and throwing my eno up on trees throughout the property. I would go back again!
