It was absolutely perfect!! We spend the night before at a state park and everyone in our group voted the farm was better hands down!! Jeff and Charity made the whole stay easy and enjoyable! Even the dog loved the extra freedom!! Thanks so much for a wonderful, quiet, and peaceful weekend!!

It was nice to camp on Charity's land. The directions were easy to follow and there was plenty of space. As others had mentioned you do hear the cars on the road but i didn't find it distracting.
Tent camping here was peaceful, recommend you bring your own chairs and seating for the camp site.
Place is great! Apple Maps is updated well so the directions were perfect and clear. They were extremely helpful and even gave me a log to get a fire started. As others have noted, it’s close to the road but it’s not too busy to be disruptive.

My 2nd time here and I’m so thankful I chose the same spot. I didn’t get to explore the trails the 1st time, so it was a nice treat this time. Charity is a wonderful host and I couldn’t ask for better! We love the isolation and seclusion of the site. It is right off the highway and is a little busy during the day with traffic but it tapers off late afternoon/evening and maybe a few cars between then and the next morning. There is a tree line, so it isn’t wide open to the road. Passer bys can only see the porch lights at night through the trees. We felt completely safe, even the first time I stayed with just my girls and left the hubs at home. We really enjoyed the cute little eggies and their little carton Charity left for us. Bathrooms were good and nice hot water. All in all, we were glad a weekend away from the kids and a visit with my brother was enjoyed at Blackbird Farm.
Wonderful place right off the road! Hosts are super helpful and communicative! I was worried about the road noise, but it was perfect. Very comfortable and every amenity was perfect! Plenty of room to stretch out. Would completely recommend!

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Bathrooms, a shower and water available if needed. Charity is a.grear hostess and does what she can to make you comfortable. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Extremely peaceful spot. I hammock camped and there are many trees with excellent spacing. I will be booking this spot again next time I'm in the area.
This host should consider updating their page to reflect the current conditions of this location.
To begin with, the location is relatively isolated and even though on a main road traffic was almost non-existent. The WIFI was fast and easy to connect to and made communicating with friends and researching the local area quick and easy since cell service is at a minimum. While we did not encounter any wildlife during our stay there seemed to be a pasture next door with a few cows and possibly a burro which we hardly noticed during our stay.
The "small farm/general store" does not look like it has been operational for quite a long time. The porch is covered in cobwebs and looking through the windows showed similar disuse inside. The bathrooms were operational, however were in much need of cleaning and restocking. There was quite a panic when we saw no toilet paper in one and the other nearly out until we found 1 dirty "spare" roll under a vanity. There was no hot water in the shower as advertised, and it too needs a good cleaning. Around the fire pit was debris from what looked like an old gate as well as empty cardboard boxes. The web site states "You may hear the greenhouse fans kick on starting around 9am when the system starts warming up". When actually the fan ran 24 hours each day as did the lights in 1 of the hydroponic greenhouses. (No aquaponics that we could detect.)
Overall I would describe the site as unkempt and really did not fit the description.
Private, quiet, bathroom and shower was a plus. Loved the hiking on the property and the hosts were very nice and communicative. We also visited Providence Canyon and Pasaquan while visiting. Both great spots! Thanks for the fun weekend!

Camping here was amazing. Charity is such a kind sweet lady. My car broke down while staying here and she gave me a good recommendation to a tow and helped me go get my car when it was fixed.
Location was absolutely gorgeous, and we had amenities that I originally didn’t plan to have. The host were extremely wonderful and even checked in after a unexpected storm cane through. I will definitely be coming back, and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lovely location to camp!

We enjoyed our stay at Blackbird Farm! It was peaceful and the kids loved running around and playing with the goats who visited us each day. Jeff was very friendly and showed us around. We enjoyed exploring the property as well as taking a trip to Providence Canyon which wasn’t too far. Thank you for a great stay!
Camping at Blackbird Farm was lovely! Late October was such a great time to visit with the autumn leaves falling + acorns, and pinecones scattered about! When we arrived, there was a goofy group of goats passing through too! Plus, the working restroom/shower, wifi, and property location was really convenient for our trip. Lots to enjoy, and the hosts were kind!
Sweet little stopover on our way to the Panhandle. Plenty of room to park our truck and skiff. Wifi worked well. Enjoyed hearing the coyotes as we turned in for the night. Woke up to chilly temps but there was a gorgeous full moon and we had another campfire to drink coffee by before heading out.
The only thing that could be improved upon would be the bathrooms, which needed a bit of maintenance …they had lightbulbs out, and the one with the shower could use a shelf and a hook for setting belongings on. But we were very happy to have bathrooms with hot water all the same!
We felt safe here and loved having the place to ourselves.

Had the good fortune to be camping solo. Beautiful property and surroundings. Actually never heard anything from the farming operation. Very peaceful.
Very quiet place. The owner is a good person. Wifi was working also in the tent.
I had a wonderful camping experience at Blackbird farm! The hosts, Charity & Jeff, were warm and friendly. The bathroom and shower worked well and the WiFi came in handy, as I had no cellphone signal out there, which goes to show how truly “country” it is.
Driving around the area is breathtaking, with rolling hills that made my car ride feel like a rollercoaster through nature.
The campsite is only 10 minutes away from Pasaquan, a psychedelic visionary art environment. This was an unexpected treat and if you’re staying at Blackbird Farm, be sure to check it out!
Charity gave me a fascinating tour of their aquaponics farm and I love their sustainable approach.
I definitely plan on returning in the future!

Lovely site and great to have good WiFi and access to toilets and shower. Jeff happily explained his hydroponic setup and the lettuce we bought from him was tasty. Later he brought us some freshly laid eggs. Much appreciated!

Lovely spot. Nice to have access to toilets and shower even though our campervan has both. Excellent WiFi a huge plus. Jeff was great when we arrived in the pouring rain and even brought us some freshly laid eggs. We bought a fresh lettuce and it was delicious.
This is really a very special place. Private and Safe. A beautiful farm the owners are willing to show around and responsive. The facilities are top notch for a camping experience. The shower worked well and was hot. The view of the sky at night here is unspeakably beautiful. Waking to the field and greenhouse in the background equally beautiful.

We had a great dad and daughters trip. Brought a couple of 4 wheelers and explored the property. Charity and Jeff were great and educated us on many aspects of aquaponic farming. Bathrooms were clean and camping area level and easy for in and out.
The gate to this site was locked when we got here. We tried contacting the host via the Ring camera at the gate, yet no answer. I called and left a voicemail with the host, yet no response either. The host did not return any of the 3 calls I made to her the night of; the second two calls didn’t ring for the full time before they were sent to voicemail by the host, so we knew we were being ignored intentionally. We were forced to find a hotel to spend the night as it was around 9 pm. We received a message from the host the next morning apologizing for “missing” us even though we called her 3 times. Communication was terrible, and the host doesn’t seem to care about the issue they caused.
