the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by!

Park your van/small RV, pitch your tent, or stay in the Glamping Greenhouse on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. The nearest I-95 exit is just 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and (usually) firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay.
Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites.
Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants.
Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too.
Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand.
Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.
The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish).
Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property.

Our RV and Tent Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Our newly renovated restrooms on the property have toilets and one shower. A boardwalk takes you along the Cotee River to our two open air pavilions with several places to sit and enjoy nature. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants.
This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers.
From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting.
We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

We have a large mango tree (mangoes are seasonal) and over 150 mango trees that range from starts to three-year-old trees scattered around the property. Additionally, we have an outdoor pool. Pool hours 8am to 6pm or ask for special times.
You can enjoy boating, kayaking, sailboats, and BBQs right at our lakeside dock. Not into lakes? You can swim in our outdoor pool with a waterfall and decorative koi pond close by. The views of the lake are stunning.

We loved the privacy of this site! This site is a nice level gravel site in a setting that is perfect for nature lovers. We had plenty of room at the site to angle our small popup so that we had a nice view of the natural forest of bald cypress, oak, pine, palms, as well as the lake. We loved having a private dock and fire pit in an area that offered plenty of shade, with a nice breeze blowing across the lake. We thought it a very relaxing and peaceful spot! We plan to revisit!

We had such a fun stay at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Auburndale. The campground was clean, well maintained, and had a great atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The RV sites were spacious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and there was always something going on around the resort.
The pools, live music, and activities really gave it that relaxing vacation vibe while still being family friendly. We also appreciated how convenient everything was on-site, from food and drinks to the camp store and amenities. It felt more like a resort experience than a typical campground.
Overall, it was a great mix of relaxing and entertaining, and we’re already talking about planning another trip back. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun Florida camping getaway.

Wonderful place! No playground, but still soooo much for the kids to do! Swimming pool, fishing, perfect for riding bikes, riding scooters, passing the football, enjoying nature, just being outside! 10/10 recommend and bring a golf cart if you have one (they are also available to rent). The Cowboy Cajun food truck (DELICIOUS) and camp store were wonderful! They had a raffle for a local girls softball team going on at the pavilion too! We will definitely be back and will tell everyone about Camp Mack!

We loved everything about this site. The site was very private with a gorgeous lake view. The site included full hook-ups, a table with benches and a fire pit with the firewood already provided. A trash can and a recycling bin were also provided. We stayed for 4 days and were really sad to leave. I could have stared at that lake forever! If we are ever in the area again We would definitely stay here again..

Cute spot right across from the beach. Full hookups available. We had a good time going to Kennedy Space Center and eating at the local eatery's. Great spot to be close to everything. Our host kept in touch with us and gave great detailed instructions on getting there and hooked up. Will definitely be back!

What a great experience! Lovely space with gracious hosts. They were immediately available and helpful while also giving us plenty of space to enjoy the peaceful and beautiful private setting. It was great to have site hook ups and it was easy to get in and out. We were camping for our anniversary and Jeep Beach but there is plenty to do close by. Relaxing by the lake is wonderful too! We definitely recommend and hope to visit again!! Thank you!!!

This was a very quiet and clean campground. Surprisingly no mosquitoes at all over our stay. Bathrooms and pool were both very clean. it was fantastic having Lake Kissimmee State Park just a short bike ride away.

We loved our time at the Hippie Mermaid. The hosts were super responsive and the site was perfect. Our son loved the kayaks and having the docks to fish from. Very close (maybe 10 minute drive) to Weeki Wachee. We'd definitely return.

Matthew was great. It is a little tight getting into the spot but wonderful when you get there. I used the provided sewer hose which was the easiest hookup ever. My 25' water hose was not quite long enough but I could have moved my camper to make it work. Instead I went to a nearby store for an extension. This quiet campsite at the beautiful lake is close to shopping for anything you might need for supplies. It's the best of both worlds.

We all enjoyed this site. Laura met us, told us the lowdown and left us to our own devices. It felt like it was our place. The lake,birds,insects,wildlife was amazing. I'll take this anyway over the city's in Florida. Awesome fires,awesome meals and plain relaxation 😌. Don't go, cause I don't want you to take my week! LOL! Really, really a wonderful site!

This is a fantastic site. It’s also worth going out of your way for. The campsite is new, clean and private. There was an abundance of shade and a great breeze off the water. Hiking, boating and a park are all near by. I will be staying here again. The owners were also vey kind and responsive.

The view is absolutely breathtaking! We loved that even though we were just down the road from the owners, we had a lot of privacy with the beautiful palm trees and oak trees between us. We especially loved that there was full hookup with 50amp service. You will need an adapter if you have a 30amp. The water has softener in it which made us so happy! We had kayaks at our disposal so we were able to go fishing and kayaking. We didn’t catch anything but boy is tha lake gorgeous just to be on it. There was a firepit available but we didn’t use it. We loved waking up every morning with coffee in hand looking at the gorgeous lake and the cute little dock. Our Jack Russell loved running around and enjoyed being by the lake too! My husband and I will definitely be back! We give this site 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
