Our RV and Tent Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Our newly renovated restrooms on the property have toilets and one shower. A boardwalk takes you along the Cotee River to our two open air pavilions with several places to sit and enjoy nature. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants.
This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers.
From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting.
We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

This property is home to a farm/nursery operation and has a large pond on the west side. The pond is Spring-fed at the headwaters of Marsh Branch Creek which begins at our property and flows West about five miles in to Tampa Bay.
Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites.
Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants.
Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too.
Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand.
Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.
The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish).
Several species of wildlife have been seen on the property.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by!

Park your van/small RV, pitch your tent, or stay in the Glamping Greenhouse on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. The nearest I-95 exit is just 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and (usually) firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! Great spot. Dock needs work, you have to climb a 90degree angle to get up and literally slide down it when its low tide. Lacks shade also so bring an umbrella. Other than those two things that I can live with for a weekend I absolutely loved the place! We would definitely come back. Privacy is great and even during a major holiday the canal wasn’t busy. Sitting at the dock the first morning we were greeted by a manatee that stayed a long while and throughly entertained us. Second morning two dolphins came in thrashing around after their breakfast on both sides and under the dock,that was a neat little show. The host had all info clearly stated and answered my questions quickly and effectively. I would highly recommend!

I loved everything about this private site! I love weeki wachee already and spot let us see weeki wachee from a different entrance! We love everything about it ! We were able to use the kayaks on site got to go down stream and up stream both Saturday and Sunday saw soo many manatees even saw manatees off of our dock! We will most definitely be coming back! Shawn and Amie responded to us quickly when we had question about check out ! The only thing I would change during this stay is our duration there wish we could have stayed forever !! Thank you again so much ! If you love the springs lime we do this is definitely the he spot for you !!

Our stay at Weeki Cove was absolutely fin-tastic! 🐬 From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as pictured—beautiful, cozy, and the perfect place to relax and unwind.
We had a blast paddling around in the kayaks, enjoying evenings by the fire pit, and soaking in the incredible views. The real stars of the show, though, were the manatees and dolphins! Seeing them right from the dock felt like having front-row seats to nature's own aquatic parade.
The only downside? Having to leave! We seriously considered hiding out and never going home. 😄 Maybe Shawn and Aimee will take pity on us and offer a summer membership because one visit definitely wasn't enough!

We loved the privacy of this site! This site is a nice level gravel site in a setting that is perfect for nature lovers. We had plenty of room at the site to angle our small popup so that we had a nice view of the natural forest of bald cypress, oak, pine, palms, as well as the lake. We loved having a private dock and fire pit in an area that offered plenty of shade, with a nice breeze blowing across the lake. We thought it a very relaxing and peaceful spot! We plan to revisit!

We loved everything about this site. The site was very private with a gorgeous lake view. The site included full hook-ups, a table with benches and a fire pit with the firewood already provided. A trash can and a recycling bin were also provided. We stayed for 4 days and were really sad to leave. I could have stared at that lake forever! If we are ever in the area again We would definitely stay here again..

What a great experience! Lovely space with gracious hosts. They were immediately available and helpful while also giving us plenty of space to enjoy the peaceful and beautiful private setting. It was great to have site hook ups and it was easy to get in and out. We were camping for our anniversary and Jeep Beach but there is plenty to do close by. Relaxing by the lake is wonderful too! My first experience at Bare RV Resort was fantastic. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from my first clothing-optional resort, but I immediately felt welcome, safe, and comfortable. What stood out most was the warm, respectful, and judgment-free atmosphere — it made for such a positive introduction to this kind of space. I visited with my friend, and we ended up making new friends during my stay, which made it even more special. The pool and hot tub were a highlight, and the whole resort felt cozy and inviting. It strikes a great balance of social and relaxed, and the location near other resorts in the area is a bonus. A wonderful first experience, and we will gladly return.

We loved the way the campsite was put together. Shawn put some thought into the lit footpath and fire pit area. We enjoyed the direct waterfront with kayaks provided. We saw several manatees while kayaking and the river is beautiful. We want to return when we can stay longer! All amenities are close by.

The view is absolutely breathtaking! We loved that even though we were just down the road from the owners, we had a lot of privacy with the beautiful palm trees and oak trees between us. We especially loved that there was full hookup with 50amp service. You will need an adapter if you have a 30amp. The water has softener in it which made us so happy! We had kayaks at our disposal so we were able to go fishing and kayaking. We didn’t catch anything but boy is tha lake gorgeous just to be on it. There was a firepit available but we didn’t use it. We loved waking up every morning with coffee in hand looking at the gorgeous lake and the cute little dock. Our Jack Russell loved running around and enjoyed being by the lake too!
