A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is
due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats.
We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like.
Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle.
We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place.
Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV.
Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds.
The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens.

We have a porta potty on site that is regularly maintained.

We’re a small 5 acre family farm involved in the cultivation and preservation of rare and endangered palms with many other edible tropical plants for our visitors to enjoy. You can view our palms at all stages of growth from seed to maturity. Enjoy our U-pick varieties of mangos, Caribbean cherries, sugar cane, bananas, coconuts and we’re adding more all the time. There is even a sugarcane maze and bamboo gardens in progress for the kids and adults to enjoy. But don’t forget your veggies! Get up close and personal with where some of your medicines and vegetables come from. Camping at JB Resort was more like visiting a neighbor. The owners love landscaping and spending time with us as guests and friends. I needed some WD40 we went to his shop for it. That led to a tour of his equipment and toys I was right at home.

Hagen greeted us at the gate and available to help if there were any hook up issues. Nice big yard , very private with lots of palm trees. The property was conveniently located , within minutes to stores, gas, restaurants ,… or whatever you might be looking for. It was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

This was our first hipcamp experience. We aren't going to use any other app again! We were greeted by Taylor's mom as we arrived after dark. She helped light our way. The site was very easy to access. It was quiet and peaceful. Plus only a quick ride to the beach. Would 100 percent recommend and we will be staying there again! Lovely hosts, lovely ranch!

The lot was most agreeable. The bathroom and showers were always clean and we were provided fire wood every night at a reasonable cost. I almost didn’t want to leave. My family and I absolutely loved the people there as well as the horses Oakley and Willow, as well as the peacock Wilson.
