Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV. Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds. The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens. Day time check-in is 100% recommended. Please be sure to contact me for any and all questions you may have!

During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times. We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night. You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly. We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping. Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn. The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone. There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping. 1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing. Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds. It is hard with words to describe the beauty of this property, so please check out the pictures. Happy Camping!

Weekend Trip to Kings Kamp RV Park and Marina

This was a good little RV park to stay for a night. Some of the long term residents areas need some cleaning up around the park. The spots had a concrete pad and full hook ups. I arrived late, they had a packet with my spot location at the office, so I had no issues. The bathrooms are clean and air conditioned. Overall for a night was a good spot to stay.

Loved staying here in our RV. Short walk to bathroom when we wanted to go there, pool and other amenities are all easy walk, as well. It is under a big oak tree so shady parts of the day. Fun resort in good location, it was just 10 miles west to the beach and St Armand’s circle for dinner/ice cream/shopping. We enjoyed beaches on Anna Marie Island, Lido Key, Longboat key, the Ringling Museums, and Myakka State Park. The concrete pull-thru site is level, all hook-ups worked well. Great place for couples or families.

Beautiful property, amazing management. Love the fact that they have kayaks to use for free. They have super cute cottages for rent plus u can rent space for your rv also. Nice dock if you have a boat also n nice swim area. Loved that they have a tiki area n a bbq that you can use. Beach chairs n tables to hang out also.

Fernando was an amazing host and the site was amazing as well. Close to I-95 and the airport, but far enough away to be in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. There were seating areas near the RV and the water as well as lots of shade from trees and awnings. It was mango season and Fernando brought us mangos from his trees and encouraged us to pick what we wanted. These mangos are super sweet. Fernando lives on-site and is also readily available by phone. He allowed us to use his ladders to install a backup camera on our RV. He even had a sparkling clean Nissan Altima he rented to us so we didn't have to drive our dually diesel pickup truck while there. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had so much fun! The whole camp is so adorable with the lights and stuff by the picnic tables. I also appreciated the solar motion lights on the path to the restroom lol. My kids enjoyed the games and swimming. The water was low but that’s okay! We will definitely be back. It was so quiet and the animals were ADORABLE!

This spot was absolutely GORGEOUS and worth a night (or two) of your trip. Definitely upgrade to the waterfront site, you're right on the water, with easy access for wading/snorkeling, perfect for families. Great facilities and accommodations, will stay again.

Very nice little campground with clean bathrooms and showers. My lot was right on the small beach area so it felt fairly public, but everyone was friendly. It was a perfect site for my 12 foot teardrop camper. I will request the same lot the next time I go!

We had such an incredible stay here it’s truly a hidden gem. The property is peaceful, quiet, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect place to unplug and actually enjoy nature without distractions. The host, April, was wonderful, welcoming, responsive, and clearly takes pride in what she does. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for. This is very much a self service kind of place, which we loved. You are not going to have anyone breathing down your neck or constantly hovering or doing things for you. It gives you the space to settle in, slow down, and experience everything on your own terms. If you’ve ever been to Peace River Campground, this is the complete opposite in the best way: the same natural beauty, but without the crowds or chaos. Just calm water, open space, and the sounds of nature. They also offer canoes, kayaks, and a paddleboard for rent, which made it even better to explore and take everything in at your own pace. If you’re looking for a quiet escape to reset and enjoy the outdoors as it should be, this is the place. We’ll absolutely be back.

The Everglades National Park

When to go

Before you go camping in South Florida, consider the weather, mosquitoes, and wildlife. Avoid coastal Florida during hurricane season, especially if you’re planning a getaway to the Florida Keys. Summer in the Everglades likewise brings bugs, whereas winter’s dry season opens the door for spotting wildlife. However, winter does come with crowds, especially in national parks and resort towns.
